I've been doing Pilates reformer for a while. Oh boy! It's a good hard and everyday I do it challenges me. The burn and jelly legs are so real. I love this place, they have a very aesthetic place feels like a coffee place, it's just inviting to be there. They have a room for pilates reformer and barre room. Which is a hidden gem in Reno. The owner and the instructors are all super friendly to the point they know my name already, I'm always thankful that they check on my posture that makes it all better. They connect to the community once a month, and donate while you do a free mat pilates. The month I have stayed there I tried different classes. All teachers have their own way of teaching. I must say they are all hard. If want to burn more and challenge do the barre, it will get you sore for days. A hidden gem in Reno that offers both Reformer Pilates and a barre. They offer a variety of classes, so it's never boring. I started with Engage, a 30 minute full body workout that's perfect when you're short on time but still want to feel the burn. All the classes focus on low-impact, small movements that really strengthen and tone. It's this awesome mix of Pilates, yoga and ballet. My go to classes now are: Classic- a full body low impact, high intensity workout with light weights and a ball. Define - focuses more on weight base strength training. Align- great for strength and flexibility Mat Pilates- No weights but surprisingly intense and fun! I always leave feeling stronger! What really keeps me coming back is the vibe, energy, music and the instructors. Honestly it's hard to pick a favorite because they all bring something different. Diana is tough in the best way! I can see and feel the results. Nicole teaches Mat Pilates and somehow makes it fun while your abs and tush are on fire. Hannah, Colleen and April all have great energy and are super thorough with form and motivation. It's more than just a workout studio. It feels like a little community of friends. Everyone's friendly and supportive. If you're looking for something that tones you up quickly and keeps you coming back for more, then Pure Barr might be for you. The workouts are low impact but seriously effective. I always leave class feeling stronger, and definitely a bit sore but in the best way. First, the studio is great - the room is spacious and clean, and they have a lot of great equipment, things my normal barre class doesn't even use (like these little ball weights, long stretchy bands and small stretchy bands). The people are also very welcoming. The class itself was great - as with all the Barre classes I've done, you work abs, seat, thighs and arms and this class did a great job at all of those, the exercises were just slightly different than I'm used to, but it was quick to pick up and was a nice change. Note to those of us who lives in the flatlands....drink plenty of water. You are in the mountains and you'll dehydrate much quicker than you realize. The first time I did this class, it really wiped me out. I realized later it was that I did not drink enough water with my workout. I highly recommend coming to this studio!

I walked, acquired some home exercise stuff and did zoom exercise post march 2019 until then. Now, I was ready to mask up in a safe environment and step up my game. I remembered that the reformers are spaced out more than other studios with a bigger room than other pilates places around. Also, I wanted to give a local biz owner business so to IMX I went. I have been visiting since October 2019 and I am very happy with the studio and instructors. We all clean the equipment well so it is ready for the next person and it is a quality workout with thoughtful instruction. The reformers are quite large from other studios you may of been on and the IMX style of reformer workout is a bit more of a mix up. The reformers have a wide range of exercises they can accommodate but take a bit of getting used to as they are different than classical reformers.
