Food is alright, the atmosphere is kinda dingy, and the service wasn't very pleasant. All in all, about everything I expected.

My husband ordered the salmon pasta which was the special for that night. The chef/owner was amazing. She was very attentive and kept checking on us. For dessert, there were several options but she suggested the creme brulee. I can understand why as soon as I took a bite. I love the ambiance too. Very cozy. Would definitely eat here again.

The bread was perfectly baked, delicately salted, and the balsamic was so good you'd be tempted to drink it. My husband ordered a Dark and Stormy, but the first one tasted like it was made with vodka instead of rum. Our server was kind and professional about it, and the replacement cocktail was much better. I had the Basil Martini, which was fantastic, herbaceous, refreshing, and easy to sip. For dinner, I ordered the Duck Confit, my favorite dish on the menu. It was beautifully presented, tender, and full of flavor. My husband had the Pan-Seared Scallops with polenta cakes and lobster-truffle beurre blanc, and he said they were delicious. The atmosphere added to the experience. I liked the artwork, and the music hit all the right notes. We were greeted and seated right away, and the service stayed attentive throughout the evening. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality and presentation make it worth it. This is my favorite restaurant in Federal Way and always feels special every time we visit.

We got to our reservation a little bit early and went on a pre-dinner garden walk, which included sampling multiple items in the garden, which kind of set the mood for the night. Right before heading out for the garden walk, we had an amuse bouche style bite. Once we were done with the garden walk, we sat at our table which was a communal table, which had two other couples, and we all three became very acquainted with each other by asking questions and given a background of who we are. As you can tell by the menu in the picture that I have posted that it was a very great listing of food items that were prepared for our evening and the pictures do not speak justice the flavor that was represented My wife really loved the Fieldhouse as I love the sunshine daydream. As the Fieldhouse was number two on my list, the tomatoes were 100% out of this world and were very flavorful. The place is always clean and organized and the staff is very friendly and helpful as well as they make sure that your time being spent there is 100% worth it. Ask for the recommendation I usually tell people I highly recommend a place but this place is a number one place. I tell people about if they want to have a romantic evening or special event plan that is surrounded by food and wine and good company. This place is a hands-down top-tier in Washington state. Thank you Chef Chris and GM Jack. As a sidenote, during the pre-dinner garden walk. I walked up to the general manager, Jack and told him how much I enjoy this place previously and his memory was on point of three years ago and remembered exactly where we sat and what I did for a living and everything ,100% surprising and it set the mood that the people here care about everybody.

The reservation is for 7pm but you can arrive as early as 615pm to explore the gardens, wine cellar, and library, as well as get a welcome (non-alcoholic) refreshing beverage. All of the staff were introduced and they explained both the food menu and the wine pairings. During the meal, there's a live guitarist playing classical takes on tunes. Everyone is super polite, they commented on my Labubu and their custom (hand knit!) hat - shoutout to Rosalee for the Labubu hat. Here's the menu and the pairings. My thoughts were that the peas stood out but otherwise it was a forgettable meal. The space is nice and the ingredients are high quality, but I don't know if the price was fully justified by the overall experience. I think it was like $325/person plus service and tax fees? First time trying the brunch after many dinner visits…read more Started with cocktails and both were really good. The Greenhouse Bloody Mary was lighter and fresher than a typical Bloody, made with an in-house clarified celery juice base that gave it a really bright flavor. We also tried the Rhubarb Sunrise with rhubarb purée and vodka, simple, refreshing, and super easy to drink. We started with the crab cocktail: chilled crab leg meat over ice with lemon and cocktail sauce. Really fresh and simple in the best way. The salad ended up being one of our favorite things we ordered. Fresh greens, snap peas, pistachios, feta, mint, dill, and a grilled lemon vinaigrette. Super refreshing and kind of addictive. The server did a great job with the timing of the food which is always appreciated, so you don't feel rushed. We split the pork belly benedict and it was excellent, rich smoky pork belly, perfectly poached eggs, and a really solid hollandaise. The potatoes were crispy and nicely seasoned too. The French toast was ridiculously good. Thick-cut with a crunchy caramelized outside and soft custardy center, topped with strawberry-rhubarb and fresh whipped cream. Sweet but not too heavy because the rhubarb balanced everything out. By the time 11:00 rolled around the restaurant started to fill up, if you want to come when they open at 10 you could probably get in without a reservation or sit at the bar. The outdoor patio was also open and looked nice. Finished with a michelada made with pilsner, vodka, Bloody Mary mix, and a shrimp garnish. Awesome food and cocktails like always from Oxbow. Definitely coming back for brunch with family and friends.
