Aces Poker is overall the best place to play in the south sound because they have a great venue, and lots of tables. However, they often times don't have enough dealers, which means the tournaments are negatively affected. If it were up to the dealers they wouldn't have any tournaments and that's the #1 thing I hate about this place-even though they do a lot of things good, they still don't listen to the players demands. If the tournament starts at 4pm, registration begins at 3pm. On back to back days I was told the tournament was already full at 3:16 PM, and at 3:05 PM. Literally makes NO SENSE. If two tables were actually full that soon it means a lot more people were wanting to play but it was the casino that said "no we're full sorry go play a cash game". read more

I placed an order placed thru Doordash for the Ale battered cod and fries basket. Good size piece of fish that tasted fine. There were about as many fries as come in a happy meal. went here for the first time friday late night...we sat at the bar was greeted by a lady named amanda.....i got a tequila sunrise & the person i was with got space dust ipa we ended up ordering some of the honey garlic wings which came with some fries, you couldn't definitely tell that the fries are hand cut not frozen the wings were probably one of the best wings i have tried in a long time eating out.....the sauce alone was just amazing!!!!! we played some pull tabs...since they only have tables games line blackjack stuff like that...the vibe was nice the bartender was awesome you could tell she enjoys her job...which is always a plus for me. only reason i didn't put 5 stars is because they don't have any slots...if they added a few slot games definitely would be a 5 star place . amanda's customer service alone...will be the reason he will be coming back...thank you for such a great first experience:) read more

I've eaten most things on their menu at this point. My favorite is the wonton soup. It's number 8 on the menu. I took the recommendation from Cassidy, the excellent server there, and was not disappointed. What I love about eating there is the value for money. This dish was only $13, and was a top notch meal. Very healthy, too, packed with fresh vegetables, and also plenty of beef, as well as a delicious thick soup base. I had skipped breakfast that morning, so I was able to finish it easily. Went here on Sunday to watch a Seahawks games, in front of the big screen. We sat for about 10-15 mins before our drink order was taken and probably another ten minutes until the drinks arrived. We specified the Bloody Mary be spicy. The server said she forgot to make it spicy, and offered to bring us some Tabasco. Before the Tabasco arrived (due to a long delay), I went to the bar and asked the bartender to spice it up. After a total of 30 minutes plus, I asked the server, "Can I order food, please?" She said yes and she would be back in a minute. She never showed (at all). After waiting 10-15 minutes, as the server walked by, I again asked to order food. She, again, said she would be right back. She never showed. After that, she passed our table by at least five times and never made eye contact or stopped, we decided to leave. From a timing perspective, it was nearing halftime. Please note, our table was near the door the server would walk though to go between the "TV room" and the bar, so I thinking would be difficult to simply forget. We went into the bar to pay our bill, because we weren't going to continue to wait for the server. The woman who appeared to be "in charge" was apologetic and said they were really short staffed and the manager was coming in, etc, etc, etc. To me, the room was busy, but not crazy busy. It appeared a shortage of staff was not the issue, but a plan, processes and tactics were not in place to ensure a smooth Sunday football experience for guests. Being able to only get away from the kids every so often, I was very apprehensive about going to a casino in Lakewood but, I had a BLAST when I was here last Friday! The drinks were very strong and not as expensive as most, the dance floor was on and crackin' the band was off the chain with the latest and greatest hits-very well done-and the nachos were delicious. That is all I had to eat as I was there to get my drink on! :) ANyway, I will be returning here someday soon and I have already recommended this place to many friends. Great place for dancing, drinking, mixing with friends of all ages, and meeting others who want to have a good time. I am finding myself here more and more often. Though, I have never gambled there. They have a great conference room. It is perfect for any event. I have been there for multiple seminars, banquets and holiday parties. The staff has always supported these events with impeccable quality and effort. I love to dance and overall, Great American Casino in Lakewood is the best! The dance club, Broadway Joe's, has a wonderful vibe to it: lighting, placement of tables, no smoking, relaxed and everyone having fun! The stage is higher than the dance floor, so it feels like a concert, especially on the nights when there is a full house. The local cover bands are mostly great, Nite Crew is an especially favorite one! The whole place is laid out well, lots of room to hang out and talk, play pool, gamble, eat...whatever your style! I've been going there for several years, off and on, and as a single woman, have always felt safe there....just a Knowing. Then about a month ago, a situation happened that confirmed it. At the end of the evening, a creepy guy came onto the dance floor and was touching women inappropriately, and they handled the situation very professionally. It's the first time in all my time going there I had ever seen a "situation", and I give the manager and her security staff high marks in how it was handled! Review on the night club only. Place has a great setup which is perfect for seeing live bands and group parties/events. However management and service is the worse I'd ever had. 3 times now we sat for hours without any service at all. It was so strange as our table was not hidden at all and both tables on either side of us were getting regular service. The server actually bumped into my wife a few times but would ignore the fact we were raising our hands like kids in school to get her attention. Finally after after an hour and a half we went to the bar to get drinks (the bar tender was very nice and helpful .) We ended up there from 8pm till 11pm and never once did a server stop to ask if we needed anything even though they all walked past us dozens of times. Not the first time this has happened at this place as I have complained about the poor service many times. Still it happens over and over again. Advice to the owners as I used to own a night club years ago and I grew up working in my fathers restaurants. A good manager could easily have this venue packed every night as well as sell ten times as much food and drink. Even when you get service here it is very slow (With the exception of the occasional good server, who never seem to stick around for some reason) at this point in the game I would have to blame management and not bad servers as this happens far too often. Though I would not want the job I would be happy to evaluate and advise since this is a venue that I would like to visit more often then I do. read more

Love this place! Great service! Angie is my favorite bartender. She's got a fabulous personality and she makes the best drinks! She's always on top of anything I may need, even when the bar is packed! I've gotten to know most of the bartenders and all of them are wonderful. They have great personalities and have become like friends. I do miss seeing Ashley. She was amazing and I so enjoyed her company. I try to go on the days Angie is working. She has superb customer service skills and I enjoy visiting with her while I'm there. They also have a nice selection on the menu and a different drink special every day. I've been a resident of Lakewood for 7 years yet last night was my first visit to this place and I'll guarantee you I won't return. I've been to many casinos here in Washington and in Nevada and this one ranks at the bottom. I went on a Saturday night and almost the entire place was closed. Only the bar was serving food and I counted 10 gaming tables that were open with no slots. My wife and I waited for over 15 minutes to even be acknowledged in the bar but that never happened. We finally flagged down an assistant manager who grabbed some menus but didn't even bring us a glass of water. His excuse was that they were "really busy." I think the real reason was that they were understaffed. After going through their average, bland menu and never seeing a wait person we got up and left. This place needs a serious overhaul. The only positive that we could tell is that it's 100% non-smoking. Save your money for a tribal casino or go to Vegas. This place is a sham. read more

Night Club Manager really messed up and disrespected big time someone who.has come there for four years (even though only 3 times in 2015) and has never caused anything close to a problem. I've even have hung there before to.listen to bands and have not bought anything on 1/3rd of the visits since I don't drink that often. Why, when she could have just warned me to buy something 1st, did she just straight ask me to leave and accuse me of loitering? They don't have a sign anywhere like must have drink in hand it table at all times in he nightclub. I was embarrassed and while I may have let her verbally have it afterwards, she's a manager who is supposed to use good customer service and judgement.
