    Egg benedict
    Jinkyoung Kelly L.

We ordered takeout for Saturday brunch and very disapointed. When my husband went to pick up, 20 min delay for the order pick up. The egg benedict was over cooked and burito was disapointed(my husband's menu, he is a burito lover he knows his burito) I don't think I will order again.

This was my second visit to the same branch, and there was a significant difference between my first and second experiences. My first visit was excellent, but today's second visit was a completely different story. We added our names to the waitlist and patiently waited for 110 minutes. The lady at the reception informed us that they would message us once our table was ready. However, at the 100-minute mark, I inquired, and she told me that the kitchen was backed up, so they wouldn't be seating anyone for the next 20 minutes. To make matters worse, there was another party of six waiting next to our car who arrived after us but got a table before us. My frustration isn't about them getting a table first, but rather the fact that the lady had stated they wouldn't seat anyone for the next 20 minutes. It's essential to keep your word and prioritize guests in the order they arrived. Her excuse was that she called all the guests at the same time, but I never received any call. I had to walk in and ask if it was our turn. As for our food, we ordered: Beef me up Scotty - 10/10 Veggies Omelette - 10/10 Mexican Skillet - 7/10 There were too many potatoes and not enough meat. Garden Fresh with Chicken - 3/10 Only five small chicken pieces, and the dish had a hair in it. We removed the chicken and asked for it to be taken off the bill. Waffle with Strawberry and Banana - 10/10 Overall, I was disappointed with the place due to the customer service, excessive wait time, a very loud interior, and how they handled the situation. I'm uncertain if I would return to this branch in the future.

I'd describe Pur & Simple as an elevated brunch place kind of like how Cora's is. The menu has a wide variety of interesting options and ingredients - things like chorizo and fried chicken bennys and both sweet and savory crepes! There are also combo meals that include a dessert option like a crepe or a pancake so you can get the best of both worlds. Coming early on the weekends or pretty much any time on the weekdays is a good idea because it gets super busy despite how big the restaurant is. They have a digital wait list that you can join prior to getting there so definitely check that on a weekend. I was pleasantly surprised at how filling the Lox Avocado Toast was. It was 2 pieces of whole grain bread slathered with avocado spread and topped with tender smoked salmon, onions, capers, and two perfectly runny poached eggs. It came with a side of their potatoes which are awesome if you like your homefries crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They're also seasoned really well. They're night and day from the flimsy, greasy potatoes at almost every other breakfast place. There's a full plethora of drinks that are coffee based as well as classic brunch drinks like mimosas and smoothies. When I was there, they had a peppermint hot chocolate that was topped with whipped cream and crushed candy canes. It was good, although I prefer the Starbucks ones a little better.

So good! Had the chicken and waffles, which is always a go-to when they have boneless chicken. Best part that felt like a bonus is that it came with home fries! Also tried the mango tango smoothie and substituted the pineapple juice for white cranberry, soo worth it! Very cute spot for breakfast/lunch and would definitely come back to try their crepes!

Getting there for a Sunday, we knew we had to wait. By the time they texted us for our table, we waited 43 minutes! We sat at the patio, with some annoying bees. The menu had lots to choose from and average dishes cost from. $12-17. My partner's avocado toast was not what he expected. The poach eggs were not running and he said the meal felt dry. My veggies potatoes skillet could have came a lot hotter. I believe the Hollandaise sauce was a different one than stated on the menu. A large quantity indeed, with great home potatoes. If it came in a skillet, I wanted my food hot!!! The server didn't come to check on us, so we didn't complain early. Either way, we were both hungry after waiting to be seated and waited for the food. Even though it's a great spot in Oakville, in a plaza with tons of parking, I wished their food quality could have been better. And the service too! Won't be going back anytime soon, but maybe they are better on a weekday.

Came here for some NYE brunch. Apparently it's always busy but we got seated pretty fast at 10am. Line started to build after 11 so I suggest going earlier. The food was all very fresh and tasted great but nothing out of this world- just consistently tasty breakfast food. I definitely recommend the cinna-cakes if you have a sweet tooth, definitely the best thing on the table.

Found this place one day while out shopping. It is bright with tall ceilings and tables are spaced apart or have plexi glass. They currently only had their brunch menu...not lunch. They had gluten free options and their crepes were all gf. The owner is friendly and stopped by our table to chat while we waited for our food. The food is fresh and good quality.. I had the avocado bowl on gf bread and hubby had the Leto bowl. The food was tasty and the portions satisfying. They take reservations too!

Chicken and Waffles, Green Giant, Cinnamon Roll Pancakes

My boyfriend brought me here for breakfast, and it did not disappoint. He ordered his usual cinnamon roll pancakes, which were delicious and indulgent. I ordered a Green Giant to drink, which was sweet and refreshing. It's definitely not bitter or earthy tasting like some green smoothies that I've tried. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and they were some of the best chicken and waffles I've ever tried. The potatoes that came with it were also crispy, well seasoned, and delicious. This dish came with BBQ sauce, but I definitely recommend having it with some maple syrup instead. Overall, it was a great experience and some of the best breakfast food I've ever had. We will definitely be back.

Had a great breakfast as we celebrated my mother's birthday. Staff were all knowledgeable about protocol and we wore masks to the table and when we had to leave. Staff wore masks all the time. Went early enough that we were the only ones there. 2nd group didn't come for another hour. (This was in March before lockdown 3.0)

I've lived in Oakville all my life and just recently found out about this place for brunch! I had to call in for a reservation due to the 10 people limit. Interior: The inside was clean and nice. The seating area was comfortable as we got a booth! The restaurant is pretty big so i barely saw anyone else because they only allowed 10 people and we were a group of 4. Food: I ordered the avocado toast with a fruit salad on the side. I also got a sunset mimosa (pineapple juice) which tasted really good. I wanted to get a Caesar but I asked the waitress and she advised against it as it was kind of different from an original Caesar, which i appreciated. I thought the avocado toast was good but it was kinda salty. The cheese was also just a sliced piece of cheese which was kind of odd so i took it out. Otherwise it's pretty good and the fruit salad was pretty big as a side. Overall the pricing is pretty cheap for a brunch place. It is a little more expensive if you compare it to sunset grill but it is worth the extra 5 dollars as it is pretty boujee and tasted good! Would recommend

    Fruit waffle

I don't know how this place only gets four stars. My husband ordered mishmash, which was an omelette with three meats and veggies, potatoes, and toast. Was very tasty. I ordered a waffle with fresh fruit on it and English sauce. It was absolutely delightful! The coffee was good and strong and the service was Impeccable. Unfortunately, we don't live in this area so we won't be able to come back, but if we did, you can be sure we eat here often.

Nice and clean inside, the staff was friendly and very helpful with the menu. I decided to get a karaage side dish and a bbq pulled pork sandwich. The fried chicken was nicely seasoned and complimented with the mayo dip. The bbq pulled pork was very tasty but was a bit messy to eat with the sauce and the bun. Overall, I think this place is good and would love other things on the menu especially their milkshakes.

Mind you the reviews were all old over a year ago. Since COVID I do noticed most restaurants quality post COVID has gone down. Ambiance: It's pretty small with a few tables. Decor is pretty cute and modern. Also super clean with one unisex washroom. You order at the counter and seat yourself like a fast food place. Service: Service was good. The lady took our order and the food came pretty quick. We also got there at 1:30pm so it was empty. Food: We ordered a easy as pie milkshake which is like you apple pie in a milkshake! Pretty cool idea. The pics on the website looks great. However in reality it didn't look like the website pic at all. Just white milkshake. There are tiny chunks of apple/ cookies and a hint of cinnamon. But overall tasteless and not sweet. It's was like I was drinking ice milk with some texture. I was not impressed. We only took a couple of sips and it left a weird after taste so we didn't end up finishing it To share we got the Kimchi poutine. It was essentially fries that were not that crispy soaked with Kimchi and some mayo on top. It was ok a little underwhelming. The 3 sandwiches we got were different so we can try them all: 1. Sriracha honey Karaage chicken sandwich. The chicken was a bit soggy maybe from the sauce. The bun was fresh. The lettuce inside was a bit wilted. 2. Pho beef banh mi sandwich. The beef was a bit dry and the banh mi was tasteless with no flavour 3. Bbq pull pork sandwich. It was sweet and flavourful but again too much sauce made the sandwich a bit soggy. Pricing is fair. But probably won't come back. For $50 I can get better food elsewhere.

I ordered the Southwest Steak Hash with Scrambled Egg Whites (4/5). The potatoes had a nice texture to them. They were crispy on the outside yet pillowy soft on the inside. I love the addition of the fried onions too. The steak, however, was not as tender and juicy as I hoped to be. The guac could've used some more lemon. The sauce was good with its flavour tying in the dish. It was creamy and delicately spicy. I asked for tabasco sauce for that extra kick! We were seated right next to the washrooms and right in front of the entrance of the kitchen which was unpleasant. Hence, why I deducted a star. I don't think they should even offer this table to customers. Our server was great. She was attentive and friendly, and she always took the time to check in on us and top up our coffees and water.
