PupScrub's location in downtown Gresham had ample on-street or adjacent lot parking and the shop is easy to find off the busier streets in downtown Gresham. PupScrub is clean and there is a clear and logical arrangement of interior space for folks who want to scrub their pets. Once you walk inside, PupScrub staff are at the ready with a kind and sincere "welcome". Andrea (owner) presented me with a clear summary of PupScrub grooming services. The list of PupScrub dog grooming services is clear, concise and complete. PupScrub grooming costs are reasonable. The appointment was arranged, a partial deposit was provided and we'd got a reminder text with all the appointment information. On the day of the appointment, the groomer, Casper, greeted Odo and I warmly. Odo happily took to Casper right away and I felt very comfortable about leaving a Odo in Casper's care. We were looking for a place closer to home to take our dog for grooming, as our previous groomer was a half hour drive away and essentially took two hours out of our day to drop off and pick up. We saw Pup Scrub on our way to the Gresham Farmers Market and looked them up. The scheduling process is quick and easy- you can book online and communicate with a real person via text message. You do have to pay a deposit up front to reserve your spot, but that is taken off your total after your appointment. The hours are very flexible and accommodating, and they even have a pick up/drop off service if you are without transportation or don't have time to make the trip. As far as the grooming, the groomer always checks in with you on what you want, but they also keep track of what was done previously. We keep our dog's cut longer in the winter, and the groomer did a great job judging the length I was going for without exact measurements. The groomer will also give you an estimate of how long it will take (usually no more than 2-3 hrs) and text you with any updates. You can also ask the groomer to give your pup a purchased treat after the cut! Prices are consistent with the cost of everything going up. read more

Soap completely diluted, had to use over 3 bottles to wash my big dog. Changed hours but not updated online. Totally waisted my time. Have always had a terrible experience everytime since new owners. This place is Awesome! Folks working there are friendly & helpful. Big roomy tubs....they provide the shampoo and conditioner and flea soap if needed. Two towels, and a separate table to dry your pup. They do nail trims as well. They will also wash your dog for you if you can't do it yourself. Well worth the nominal price of $20.00. read more

They do a great job! My dog is fresh and fluffy. They did alert me to fleas on my dog's rump, gave him a flea shampoo in addition to his regular bath. Heck of a way to find out you have fleas in your yard. More importantly, my dog, who's a 72 lb fraidy cat, doesn't seem to be at all apprehensive about going there, or more nervous when he leaves. They do one dog at a time in an area. They have self wash tubs, supply the shampoo, towel, and blow dryer strong enough to dry your dog. This is good for a more economical choice. My dog had the full treatment, aside from a haircut, and it cost $187 with decent tip. Smaller dogs, without fleas, probably cost less. My dog has now decided he's afraid of the car, or I would have brought him back sooner. read more

Brought my pups to get their nails trimmed and it was by far the smoothest experience we've ever had. I've been hesitant about nail trims due to an unpleasant visit at another dog spa that left my puggle scarred, but needless to say I'm so glad I decided to visit Pup Scrub. I love this place and appreciate everyone who works there. I have three small dog. Ranging from history of back pain to neurological issues. And Taylor the groomer has done an amazing job with every single one of them. I never feel concerned or anxious about leaving them. She is so patient with my neurological puppy and with my older dogs. Never had a negative experience. Great place. My dog does not like getting a bath at home. Here he not only likes it but he seems to enjoy it. I think it's the large tubs and they see other dogs getting the same treatment, so they know that it's normal. Plus the staff are all very helpful, courteous and friendly. First time ever at a self-wash place for your dogs. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. Came around 2pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. The front desk asked if I had been in, I replied no. She then walked me to one of the tubs I was going to use and explained to me all of the types of shampoos they had available. My dog was secured to the tub and everything was ready. The water was room temperature and the shampoo was diluted, which was actually nice because every time my dog shook off the water I didn't have to re-rinse again. I was able to bath my 85+ lbs German shepherd comfortably. Then there was another booth where you could dry your dog and brush him. This was all included in the price of the self-wash. The positive: It's super convenient to have a place to take my fur baby when I don't feel like washing my girl at home. Spacious tubs, lots of supplies, including mini garbage cans for fur, etc. Also nice staff! The not-so-good: I had my girl's nails trimmed on two different occasions. Both times, her nails were almost cut to the quick, and soon after, started bleeding after I had taken her running/hiking. Pretty scary to see lots of blood! I recently provided feedback (very graciously and kindly) to the owner. Instead of expressing concern over what I experienced, her first response was to suggest I just see a different groomer. I was pretty frustrated about that response, because it would do nothing to resolve the root of the issue. I didn't really sense any care or compassion for what I experienced with the groomers. Instead, I felt like my input didn't matter, or wasn't important to her. I know we're all going through tough times right now, so I'm choosing to give her the benefit of the doubt. I'm back again with two dogs now since we adopted another Golden. Pup Scrub did INCREDIBLE on them. I hardly even recognize them!!! I especially love the trim they do for Goldens, it really helps in the fall when they get muddy and wet ALL THE TIME. Fabulous place for bathing dogs who won't fit in the kitchen sink! We've been taking our dogs there ever since the day it opened, and are extremely pleased to have a place like this out in East County. I used to have to go all the way into Portland! There are three different kinds of shampoo (whitening, hypo-allergenic, and oatmeal). Cotton balls are provided to clean doggie ears. The employees help the dogs into the wash tubs, then warm the water before you use it on the dog. Conditioner is provided for after the shampoo. There are rubber combs to help remove extra hair, and plenty of towels are provided as well as aprons to keep you dry. When you're through washing your dog, you take her/him across the room to the drying table. The employees, all very friendly, help adjust the tie-down at a comfortable level for your dog. The dryers have two different speeds, which is really nice. Also provided are combs, rakes, toenail clippers, and scissors. Pup Scrub's owners, Diane and David, are two of the nicest people you could find anywhere, and they make sure that all the equipment is in good order. The employees are constantly vacuuming up dog hair, and the whole area is clean as a whistle. Each bath tub is cleaned and disinfected after every single dog. Dogs are entitled to a treat and a spray with wonderful smelling doggie perfume (we always choose plumeria) if you want. Pup Scrub also sells dog food, treats, leashes, collars, etc. All prices are very reasonable (we bathe our Australian Shepherd for $15), and it's worth every penny not to have to clean anything up and have no dog hair cruising down into our septic system. All in all, a fabulous place and highly recommended. read more

I recently moved back to the Gresham area and started bringing my 4 dogs large here, plus a foster dog. Tonight I came in several minutes before 6:30pm with 1 dog (they close at 7pm) and asked the employee walking from the back if 30 minutes was enough time. She stated she already turned off the water so I asked her what time you can do the last wash, she said 6:30pm. I then looked at the time on my phone and it was 6:29pm and told her and she simply replied, "sorry". I understand employees want to get out of work on time but I was very disappointed in the customer service I received and won't be returning. Petco Unleashed is a little drive but half the price and take their last wash at 8:30pm on weekdays. read more

If you do (or don't*) want to groom your own dog this is an awesome place...they have everything to make it easy for you...raised tubs, shampoos, ear cleaner, dryers..raised platforms with neck loops to hold buddy in place while you clip his nails...or even rent clippers to shave him. * I do not want to groom my own dog...so I have "Cat" the groomer at Pup Scrub do it for me :). She does a fantastic job and she always does exactly as I ask. You don't feel like you are being "processed" ...nice to develop a valued and trusted relationship. I always tip the groomer and you should too...at least you should if they are friendly and do as you asked :) I drop the kids off once a month and go bop around downtown Gresham...happening scene for any taste...it a bustling little gem of activities these days. Both my dogs have a rash after taking them to this groomer. I had never taken my lab to a groomer before. I did take my border collie in Nevada to a lady for over a year and NEVER had a problem. Now they both have a horrible rash. We went to vet at first and got allergy pills which didn't help at all. They have a bacterial skin rash. This is the only new place I have taken them. I would think twice before trusting your dogs to them. read more
