No funky smells and miraculously not hairy (if you know you know). I am a former professional bather and groomer and the facilities are great and EXTREMELY reasonably priced. They offer everything you might need to get your dog squeaky clean. All brushes, scrubbers, combs, cotton balls, ear cleaner, shampoo and conditioner were included in the price. The tubs have great water pressure and temps and the force dryers are fairly quiet for force dryers, but they do offer ear protection for your pup. The owner (Dal? I'm awful with names and a bit hard of hearing) gave me all the shampoo I needed to thoroughly bathe my very dirty, hairy poodle. She even allowed me to stay and use her facilities to use my own grooming tools to do a full almost 3 hour groom at no additional charge. Overall this is the best self wash experience I have had. We will definitely be coming here regularly.

PupScrub is clean and there is a clear and logical arrangement of interior space for folks who want to scrub their pets. Once you walk inside, PupScrub staff are at the ready with a kind and sincere "welcome". Andrea (owner) presented me with a clear summary of PupScrub grooming services. The list of PupScrub dog grooming services is clear, concise and complete. PupScrub grooming costs are reasonable. The appointment was arranged, a partial deposit was provided and we'd got a reminder text with all the appointment information. On the day of the appointment, the groomer, Casper, greeted Odo and I warmly. Odo happily took to Casper right away and I felt very comfortable about leaving a Odo in Casper's care. Casper offered a brief summary of the grooming services and asked about our desired style of cut for Odo. Casper's grooming of Odo was excellent. Odo is happy and proud to sport his new blue bandana! We were looking for a place closer to home to take our dog for grooming, as our previous groomer…read morewas a half hour drive away and essentially took two hours out of our day to drop off and pick up. We saw Pup Scrub on our way to the Gresham Farmers Market and looked them up. The scheduling process is quick and easy- you can book online and communicate with a real person via text message. You do have to pay a deposit up front to reserve your spot, but that is taken off your total after your appointment. The hours are very flexible and accommodating, and they even have a pick up/drop off service if you are without transportation or don't have time to make the trip. As far as the grooming, the groomer always checks in with you on what you want, but they also keep track of what was done previously. We keep our dog's cut longer in the winter, and the groomer did a great job judging the length I was going for without exact measurements. The groomer will also give you an estimate of how long it will take (usually no more than 2-3 hrs) and text you with any updates. You can also ask the groomer to give your pup a purchased treat after the cut! Prices are consistent with the cost of everything going up.

Ever since our regular groomer left it has gone from a 4 to a 3 and if they weren't so darn nice, clean and local it would be less than a 3. So here we go- Last several grooms they miss stuff, no biggy, I just go back and trim some small things up- they are dogs and moving around so I get it but my dog I know is sweet and docile so I think she is on the easier side although her hair is so kinkly curly that adds the element of hard (I am trying to be really gracious to here) but today, we picked her up and after having to shave her ears from matting she has a cut on each ear and bleeding and no one said one word so we are pretty disappointed. She is clearly uncomfortable because she isn't acting herself. Matting on her is on me, it happens sometimes even when we brush her alot....this is the first time they have ever had to shave her ears! Super disappointed that no one noticed or said anything. Again, everyone is nice, it is very clean and I do love that they have her in and out in like 90 min but they need to pay attention to the details and communicate better, especially for well over $100 appt every 6+ weeks of going there. ***Update*** Owner reached out, said they didn't see any blood but sometimes when you have that close to this area of skin shaved it can bleed, not from a cut though. And cuts happen, we get it! No one would have seen the blood unless they looked inside her ear so I want to clarify it wasn't a cut as far as we understand and we don't think they were careless w/ our pup, actually the opposite, they are very caring which is why we go there. So now that we are a day later I think my only feedback would have been that it would have been nice to be made aware this CAN happen so we were prepared and not worried when we saw the blood, super simple! We are lay people & not experts in grooming procedures around matting and what can happen. We will work harder on the ears to make sure this can be avoided in the future, it is the first time her ears had to be shaved so after 3 years we are still learning how to manage this girls kinkly curly coat. My husband thinks maybe I should have given them more time to respond but I had 2 bleeding ears and couldn't reach anyone by phone, text or email and I should have not had to wait hours to understand what was happening.

I've gone here twice now…read more Both times the workers are on a mission doing something and don't notice me until they see me with my little pup in my arm and my small chihuahua-shihtzu. I don't get offended by that at all, it would be hypocritical of me ! I enjoy the treats they have for dogs and the workers always asking if they can say hi to my dog! The free popcorn. Is a perk because I don't really eat pop corn. The last time I went in the woman at the counter asked to take pics of my pups for instagram and I happily obliged. They gained a new insta follower and I went home with a good amount of treats for the dogs and popcorn. I'm glad this one is a 5 min drive from my place.
