This place is a hidden gem out here in concord! The place is packed wall to wall with all sorts of Indian ingredients! When you walk in, there's a strong incense smell but don't let that put you off (kind of reminds you of a foreign country). There are many dry, fresh, and frozen goods a person could look for. I'd say the only weird thing is that it's located in the "back" of the plaza. It's not a bad thing though because that entire back parking lot is theirs alone. Anyways, the workers there are very friendly and knowledgeable about the product and they will not haggle you with anything. The place is clean and well stocked! It is and feels like a mom and pop shop. More expensive than the Tri-valley Indian stores but at least there is one in the Concord area. Samosas are good. Lots of stuff is "stuffed" in the store so a little hard to navigate. Service is ok. read more

This place is tucked behind the busy todos santos shopping center in concord nestled behind the ranch market. The food and produce: Although some of the food did not look as fresh it appeared to be organic. I am certain a great percentage of what they carry has been imported. I picked up a pre packaged garum masala mix. They carry a surplus amount of seasoning and other packed food items. Aesthetics: The store was clean and fairly large compared to its appearance. After a while I did feel a bit claustrophobic as the shelved and produce were extremely close together. Customer service. As to be expected. They had two individuals working really hard. GO TO ANOTHER INDIAN STORE! I realized the Indian snack I bought from here tasted weird so I checked the date and it was expired Still I live close by so I kept shopping here. Today I bought henna and when I applied it and left it for 1 hour, I saw that it does not stain at all. I took it back and asked for exchange. Owner said "it's not our fault" when you sell something you are responsible for it working. I really love this Indian store. They are a little bit bigger then the stores I'm used to going to for Indian goods. They have fresh mitai, all kinds of spices, frozen goodies, snacks and more! I love to pick up Samosas from the freezer section if we are having a party since they are quick and easy to prepare. They have all kinds of frozen curries for those of us who want a quick meal during the week. They also have a great selection of Rotis/Chapatis/Paranatas to compliment our frozen curries. They offer Vegan cookies/biscuits for those of us that do not eat eggs. I saw an Ad that they are offering Mehndi/Henna services for Karva Chauth. Go check them out! read more

Here you can find all your middle Eastern cuisine needs. We dropped in today for a Masala Curry seasoning blend and naan. Unfortunately they did not carry a pre packaged naan but they did carry the ingredients to make it from scratch. Also the place is bigger than it looks with produce, fresh and frozen foods and seasonings galore. Even when the small language barrier we were pointed to the exact seasoning blend we were looking for. We also spotted many items we would come back and purchase. This little gem is hidden on the backside of Park N Shop in Concord. Right behind Ranch 99, which is pretty convenient. Makes me proud of the diversity in Concord! read more

We recently tried this store to buy our weekly Indian groceries. We always go to San Ramon for a good Indian store but we are so glad we don't have to do that anymore. This store has everything required for Indian cooking. I was surprised to see 'Adai' batter here. They sell different kinds of Dosa and Idli batter. They also have the ever so famous 'Karachi Bakery Biscuits'. Try these and you won't regret it. Will definitely be a regular here! read more

Looking for the spice market??? It's right behind the 99 ranch. Just go around the building and you'll find a sign and a door. Don't worry, you don't need a secret code or a password to get in. They had everything we were looking for. Fresh spices, organic selections and spice packets. Many types of sack rice stacked in the back. They also have organic rice. It's not very clean inside, it's tight and can get crowded if there are more than 4 customers inside. Staff aren't too helpful. We asked if they had organic basmati rice and they just pointed us to the back without a care. No, they don't carry organic basmati but they have alternatives. Even if we spent $80+, we didn't get a smile or whatsoever. They may have a variety of spices but good customer service goes a long way. I'd rather drive further and spend money elsewhere. Check your receipt before you leave. They charged me twice for a spice packet. I found out when I got home. My bad. Don't make the same mistake. read more

I have bought a few items there over the last couple of years, but now routinely get their chicken curry (homemade and in small plastic containers) - unfailingly very very awesome! My favorite shopping spot for weekend shopping. The Indian produce such as Bitter Melon that I shop always are very fresh. They have started getting more organic packed lentils of all types. Variety of dosa batter from rice to lentil dosa batter. Always love the haldiram healthy aloo methi paratha prepared with olive oil and the variety of snacks. My favorite thing about this place is the customer service. The young guy, Vicky is always friendly, carries a smile, greets you, talks to you and pro actively helps. The girls at the cash counter are also friendly. Once I picked up Idhayam brand sesame oil and before billing, Vicky verified, apologized and told me not to buy that piece, as the expiry date was past. Although many Indian stores inadvertently do carry such expired stuff, the honesty, verification and customer care pleased me. read more

Service sucks as mentioned by many. But after buying bad stuff from them time after time, they were still not taking any responsibility. When confronting to them about the old stock or asking for a refund, they simple refuse service. You have to park at your own risk. There have been reports of broken windows and several car theft attempts because of the lonely location. The place is shady and doesn't feel right. Not sure what else they are selling there. Never seen such mean people with so much arrogance. A Few extra steps will take you to the front of the complex to the Ranch Market and it worth every penny that you spend. Plus it's also safe and out in the open with fresh stuff and reasonable prices. I would give a negative rating if I could. Wish I had never stepped into that place. I've been an occasional customer of this store for more than 7 years (before they moved to this new location a few months ago) - stopping in every 2-3 weeks to pick up my favorite Indian snacks and spices. My ethnic background and eating habits are not Indian; but my appreciation for and knowledge about how to use the stuff I can find on the shelves of the Punjabi Bazaar have been greatly increased by the help and advice I've received from the friendly staff.
