There is a small hot food section selling yummy warm snacks like pakoras, samosas and plated entree items with rice. There is a beauty section in front of the store selling naturopathic beauty products. There are so many options available for gluten free diets and it's very unusual. In the deli many of the items are cooked in garam flour ( chickpea and rice flour). There were a wide variety of options available for my friends that fit within their guidelines and everything was delicious. I found a 2 lb red basmati rice for $1.99 and 2lb size of fresh sliced okra for $6. I'm less familiar with South East Asian cooking and loved browsing the isles looking for new items and ingredients to try in my cooking. As an example, there is a huge selection of gluten free flours made from many ingredients I had not heard of outside wheat. The rice and the selection of lentils were awesome and inviting due to the large selection. The is a fun aisle containing a large section of jar pickled vegetables, Yum This spot on Willow Pass is a must for anyone interested in cooking or stopping by the deli for great lunch or snack. I purchased a samosas and pakora ( fried veggies with chickpea flour), so delicious. I can't wait to go back. read more

Indiroot is a brand new Indian market in the Park N Shop shopping center. They operate out of the space previously occupied by 99 Cents Only Stores, which is sandwiched between T-Mobile and Las Montañas Supermarket. I came here for the first time with my family on 10/19/2025. Upon entering, I was immediately impressed by the renovations they made. The interior was bright and very clean. Situated in the middle, the aisles were well organized and full of Indian staples. On the left side of the market were the fresh produce and frozen food sections. The selections were alright and the prices seemed reasonable. On the right side, there was a large area full of rice and beans and tables were set up selling Indian desserts. We ended up getting several produce items. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Excellent addition to the Park N Shop shopping center. My family and I will be regulars here. 4 stars. read more

This is a clean Indian grocery store. They don't carry many varieties of items but the necessary items are sold here. The shop has a reward system that really works and not like the other Indian stores where they have no rewards. I like this store and it's also expanding. Concord needs a good clean and not over priced Indian grocery store. My final verdict. I will be going to this store often and encourage those who haven't to visit. read more

The draw for me was the hanging sign that read, no coffee, no tea, no espresso, only Chai so I went in and walked around a bit and couldn't find it! I walked up to the register and was drawn to the boxes up samosas and the flat of baklava for $1.25 per piece. The box indicates that it is made in Fremont which is awesome to be local. So, no chai yet. They are still building out the space and in fact, there is still bare sheetrock. In about a month to open the chai bar. The baklava is so good! The tender flakey layers and rich honey with crushed pistachios. And what a deal! I'm going to get some to take to holiday parties! Plenty of shopping center parking although you may have to circle or walk a bit. I wish them much success! read more

Pleasantly surprised to discover Indiroot at the former 99 cents Only location. The store is spacious with lovely art pieces and ornaments in addition to grocery. Prices of fresh food were very competitive. Eg. banana at $0.59/lb. Delighted to find Karachi Biscuits on shelves. Good selection overall that hopefully will become even better as it stocks up. read more

You can find so much things at Indiroot: the Indian Pantry. I'm excited for the food, the veggies, and even additional grocery things. Service line is quick at the moment (being Sunday night), and they only had 1 line going at the moment - but definitely can open more. Also, great choice of decorations can be found - for the altar, the home, etc. there's a refrigerator section and a veggie galore. And don't forget all the sweets! read more

Amazing to see a well curated and affordable Indian grocery store nearby. They not only have fresh groceries at a great price, but they're also a one stop shop for anything and everything - from indian snacks and frozen items to Indian books, religious items, gifts, home decor, Indian cutlery and more. Their new restaurant/bakery, Sitara, is another wonderful addition to the store. The savory Indian pastries like their veg and paneer puffs are so flaky, flavorful, and on the mark when it comes to flavor. The dosas are wonderfully crisp, and the sambar and potato masala have the South Indian seal of approval. I would definitely come back to try their aloo paratha and chaats!! Love that they sell Indian sweets and desserts like Indian flavored cakes! The owners are very warm and welcoming and now we look forward to going grocery shopping. read more

The grocery is well stocked, clean and well lit, but just tried their newly opened prepared food 'Sitara' and it was fantastic! We got the rajmah daal, baigan bharta, and bhindi masala (with roti) and each item was fresh and tasty! We will have to return for the dosas and chaat items! read more

New Indian grocery store in the space formerly occupied by the 99 cents store next to Las Montanas grocery store. It's spacious and clean inside with a wide variety of offerings. I hope it does well and the local community supports. Great selection of produce for all cuisines, Indian dry goods like lentils, flour and more. They even have bangles and other decorative things to buy. Very clean inside which is a must for a grocery store and friendly service. read more

Pretty nice supermarket to come to. Was walking to 99 ranch when we walked by, saw it, and decided to go in. My first impression was that it was actually really nice! Most Indian markets I've been to have always been packed to the ceiling with items to sell. This one has given us space to see things individually and to appreciate what they are. The store is also very clean with lots of different items a person could look for. In some ways, it reminds me of h-mart in that it's clean, spacious, and full of different ingredients. With all the new Asian stores opening up in the east bay, I'm super glad that we have this gigantic Indian supermarket here in concord! Now we don't need to go down to San Ramon anymore to get our Indian supermarket fix! read more

Sitara cafe inside Indiroot is an absolute dream. High quality Indian food for an extremely reasonable price. Beautiful presentation and nice seating area. A convenient place where you have a meal or a snack (or a chai!) and then shop for your groceries after. I stopped by Indiroot recently and honestly loved it. The store has such a nice vibe -- clean, bright, and full of authentic Indian groceries and snacks. They had everything from spices and lentils to sweets and fresh produce, and even some ready-to-eat items that smelled amazing. The staff were super friendly. You can tell they care about the people coming in and making them feel like part of the community. Definitely my new go-to spot for Indian groceries in the East Bay! I had previously given 5 stars, choosing 4 now due to 2 reasons: 1) Had a bad experience at billing. They are absent minded, ignorant, and do not help with bagging, even when the customer is struggling to manage billing and a crying kid. 2) The new cafe, Sitara, is flashy alright. Quality is good, but unethical for sure. It almost sounds like they want to stay open only for 6 months and make money worth a year of business! 6.99 for 8 rotis...you got to be kidding. And they have these jamun truffle, rasgola truffle etc, which are absolutely money making tricks. People come to an Indian store for authenticity, why not give 5 jamuns for 5 or $6? Who wants you to stuff whipped cream around 1 jamun and price it at 6.59? Finally, in the dosa batter shelf, Sitara dosa batter 40 oz @ 9.99, and a huge poster saying there is 20% off. Top quality Shasta batter is $12/ 60 oz. They are so keen on making quick bucks they presumed customers don't know math! read more

We had our first visit to Indiroot today for dosas and pani puri. Both were absolutely amazing. There are so many other choices of food on their menu as well. The food was delicious, the service was fabulous, and we will surely be taking our family there again very soon. In addition to the food, they have a fabulous collection of cakes, pastries, and take out items. They are also a full service grocery store, totally stocked with everything you could want and they have an amazing collection of Ayurvedic oils and lotions. This was a lovely store that provided everything you could possibly be looking for. I highly recommend reserving a time on your calendar to make a trip to this beautiful new store and cafe. read more
