I visited Tehran Market today to buy some baklava. While browsing the store, I also picked up some snacks and Jalebi. My total came to about $70. When I got home and tried the baklava, it was not fresh but soggy. It was gross and inedible, so I will be throwing it away. I'm not sure why they would even sell it. I've had better tasting and fresher baklava from Costco. For about nine pieces, I ended up paying $15. Additionally, the cashier was unfriendly. I do not recommend this place.

They make this HUGE Persian flat bread in-house and it tastes so good!

Okay so I never thought much of this place until my Lyft driver said they make & sell the best bread & cheese in this area. My driver was Iranian & he's been living in Pleasant Hill for nearly 30 years, so I believed him. I ordered both--which they make in-house--& they both really do taste phenomenal. The bread is a Persian flatbread, and it is HUGE. Like it will last you several weeks. I literally froze mine, AND it was super inexpensive! The Bulgarian cheese is also out of this world good! Pair it with some raw honey or olives/pickles, high quality olive oil & that flatbread, and you have yourself an incredible breakfast spread! HIGHLY recommend this store for your bread & cheese needs.

Wheat grass is available for Persians to decorate their home for Persian New Year (Nowruz)that occurs in Spring.

Love, love, love Super Tehran Market!! It is a well hidden sapphire in Concord! The employees r extremely friendly, helpful and patient. They take the time to explain things to the customer. Their market looks tiny, but is packed with yummy goodies. Everything is very clean and organized. They sell flowers, fresh herbs, hot food, gourmet goodies, hot soups and fresh Lavash bread that is baked on the premise. They also carry Lavash from San Jose and Los Angeles. I will definitely come back here and buy from a local business that treats a customer w kindness, respect and a wonderful smile!!

Small pure sugar cubes (small - perfect for Turkish Coffee), Alameed medium ground coffee w/cardamom, my hand-crafted Ibrik.

I buy my Turkish Coffee, bamieh, and baklava here. They also have day old flatbreads (giant) for $1.50. The woman who always assists me is so sweet and helpful. This independent small market is just a pleasure to support.

Small but mighty! They have everything and I love the place. It's family owned and all the family works there which is great.

On September 9th, I went to this store and bought some tomatoes, pistachios, and baklava. The store sells Persian food, and the condition of the items was so poor that I was hesitant to try them. I decided to buy only vegetables and prepackaged food. The prices at this store are incredibly high, which makes it hard to believe they charge what they do. The store is right by the highway and acts like a highway robber. The baklava was prepackaged and looked faded, so I should have known better and avoided it. Nevertheless, I mistakenly bought it for $18, while other stores sell the same product for $13. Both my wife and I ate the baklava and have been dealing with stomach issues for the past three days. My wife has to see a doctor. I returned to the store and got a refund, but what really upsets me is how the store owner risks people's health for a few extra dollars. Shame on them.

It's located on the borderline of Walnut Creek and Alamo-ish areas, and certainly not in an area most people would be driving by unless you live in this area since it's mostly residential here, or you're driving through Olympic locally for something in that direction that's not the downtown. First things first, it's a small place. It's a local market, so it's not going to be very large. They do have their own parking lot in the front, and there's also plenty of parking in the back as well, so that shouldn't be an issue here even though the store is small. While I've seen some people note this as a Japanese market, it is not. While they carry a small section of Japanese stuff, here, most of the things are very much a Chinese focused type of offerings, from the types of produce, to the packaged stuff here. They'll have some miscellaneous stuff like a section just for pastas and sauces in the right side of the store on a rack, they're mostly a Chinese market. If you need a comparison, they're like a mini 99 Ranch. Price wise, it's about right for this area. If you compare it to other grocery market chains it's definitely not comparable, but for a local market in this area, it's not bad. The fish is indeed on the more expensive side, but it does look pretty fresh at least so there's that. They also have some to-go sushi boxes of stuff. It's nice to see they have a variety of offerings from their sushi to-go options, albeit, not cheap but at least they did look pretty good though. The sashimi boxes looked great because the fish quality appears to be great here. The only thing again, it is a bit pricey for some of these options, so just be aware of that. Green Fish is a nice little market for this area, and certainly will have a variety of things here you may be interested in. Again, it's not a large market, so just be aware of space if they do get busy. The fish counter is literally wedged into the corner of the store, but still offers fresh seafood options for those locally to buy from (albeit a bit pricey). They have offerings of various things akin to 99 Ranch, but certainly more focused on mostly Chinese and Japanese as oppose to Ranch that offers a lot of different Asian brands too. While they have pastas and sauces and stuff, that's basically it for the non-Asian market stuff. This is very much an Asian market. I will definitely want to try out some of those takeout rolls and maybe their sashimi eventually.
