A poor excuse of a "field" of pumpkins. And a waste of time.
    Kaitlyn M.

I don't think i've been this disappointed in a long time. Truly. I called yesterday to see if this place had a "pick your own pumpkins" field where you could physically go into the field and detach the pumpkins from the vines. I was told they offered this and to say I was upset with what I saw would be an extreme understatement. What I saw was not a field of pumpkins ready to be picked, but instead a baron corner of vines and strategically placed (detached) pumpkins to give off the appearance of a "field." This was no field, not even a patch in my opinion. It was a corner of vines. I'm not even upset that we took the drive here because the drive was very beautiful; I'm upset that I was lied to as a ploy to gain customers.

This place was everything you need it to be! Fun, organized, entertaining, memorable, large, great variety, clean, snacks, desserts, shopping and overall a perfect fall adventure!

Great place for the family! Best cider I have had in a long time! The new policy of having the parents walk in the back for $17.50 really sucks. Still cheaper than The great pumpkin farm tho!

We had 10 people in our group with every age from young kids to seniors, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent there. Laura started by telling us about all the different animals on the farm, from the large draft horses, to the ponies, cows, goats, sheep, bunnies, chickens, turkeys, pigs, and ducks. The kids got to gather the chicken eggs, pet most of the animals including a week old calf and week old bunnies. Then they learned about feeding the goats and got to go into the goat pen to pet them up close and personal. After that, they each got to ride a pony around the goat pen a couple times, they loved it! We finished up with a ride out to the pumpkin patch where we each got to choose a pumpkin to take home. There was a store for us to purchase additional pumpkins, cider, jams, decorations, etc. as well. It was so much fun for the kids and adults and I would love to go back. They also offer similar services in the winter, with fresh cut, or cut your own trees, along with horse drawn carriage rides, and Santa sightings! There is a venue for weddings as well. Great place, great time, so enjoyable!

It's the first and last venue we looked at; I knew immediately I wanted to marry the love of my life here. The entire staff is top tier; they pay attention to detail and make sure everything is perfect for your big day. The owners are the sweetest and purest people I've met. Marilyn and her daughter-in-law Mary made the process easy as heck for us. Sarah and Lisa were our day of coordinators and they were beyond amazing all day and night. They're all genuine people who love love, as most people do. If I could get married here every year, I would do it in a heartbeat. We're blessed by God to have met the people of Akron Acres who gave us a pinterest perfect wedding day.

Bippert's goes all in the fall, thriving with Halloween decorations, pumpkins, squash, rides for the children and animatronic decor. They have painted Buffalo Bills support pumpkins and it's all really nice, worth a stop. * For Thanksgiving you need one of their pies on your table! Pies you say? Ah yes, for about $22 a pie or so (they're large) you can order pies for your Thanksgiving and they'll notify you when to pick them up. There's always a long line for pick up so get there early! They have mixed berry and coconut creme pie which are my personal favorite but they also have cherry, raspberry, blueberry, apple, rhubarb, and you can find peach in the summer. There are a couple other flavors, I forget but they also have zucchini bread, carrot cake, pastries, cookies and muffins. Yes, they're delicious. Another reason I come to Bippert's is because I eat a lot of eggs and they carry organic local farm fresh eggs 3 dozen for $16. Yes, I will buy their eggs versus going to the grocery store because there are more recalls on eggs than I care to discuss right now. Buy from your local farmer before the store people! Bippert's carries some fresh produce (whatever is seasonal) and frozen meat. I saw today that they had seedless watermelon and I got sad. I wanted to ask them where they get their watermelon but I forgot. I expected a farm to have seeded but I guess not. What is this world coming to if you can't even get a seeded watermelon at the farm. Anyway, visit them when you can, they're open year-round!

The Maize - Great maze, not great food.

I have driven by year after year and thought I really need to check it out . One year (maybe more ? )they were not there for the season and I was saddened , so when I saw them open , I made a point to get there . Upon entering you will see many blow up bounce houses. Sadly, the big tiger you can see from the road is "retired" but , man he is cool ! There is also a little track for kids to be able to drive kid cars around . I would say this is great for probably the 4-5 year olds , but flexible. There are many tables set up for "pumpkin tic tac toe" . I thought it was an adorable idea. There are food huts/vendors set up with the typical carnival offerings of kettle corn, cotton candy , soft pretzels etc. What I found fun , is that there is a whole second area that you have to walk a short way through a corn maze to get to . I had no idea it existed ! Here is where you will find some more great bounce attractions and game areas , blow up slides and even a kids zipline attraction . So much fun. My 2 1/2 yr old grandson had such a great time . I recommend this for the little ones , especially 2-6ish years old . You will have a great time watching them have a great time . Lastly , we paid I believe $12 for an armband(did not have to pay for adult bands) which allowed for all day access to all of the bounce houses, we also were able to get a mini pumpkin included in that price . It was well worth the price ! I believe you can purchase individual tickets , but much more cost effective to get the all day bracelet. Pack up your kids, or your grandkids , or even your friends kids , and go ! :)
