Angelina is very nice and makes everything fresh and home made, she is feebly and prepares ur sandwich too.Going in it's like 1975 but it's great really price for 2 (10 inch long ) sandwiches with meat cheese and a bottled brio 30. Cash only too Went again Another trip to visit Angelina and her husband this time the famous meatball sandwich. 3 large on a fresh bun. Spicy and just enough sauce, you won't be able to take an entire bite as the meatball is big. Perfect sandwich. Also saw this old cassette sale carrousel classic.

Hello fellow foodies I got an amazing review for you today..I just love italian veal sandwiches…read more, definitely my favorite type sandwich and I have tried them from most places in the GTA . I was told by a family member to try out Cosimos deli veal , so i was in the area so decided to stop in and try out there italian veal sandwich. This italian deli is tucked away in a small plaza on the north side of dundas just past Mavis rd ..its almost easy to not see this deli but look for the yellow sign on the end of building . It's an amazing elderly italian couple that runs the place , she does the cooking and he works along side in deli with her serving these marvelous veal sandwiches. They remind me of my grandparents just amazing people with love for there food and for there customers. So friendly so amazing. Food 5/5 let's just start by saying if I could rate it higher then 5 I would it's just that good . First of all it dosnt get more authentic as far a italian veal goes. The bread is the real italian deal , not like the kinda buns you get at Californias , this is real italian loaf crunchy crust on outside and soft on inside, home made style just like mama makes. The veal was tender perfectly cooked not greasy so flavorful I couldn't believe how great the veal tasted with a nice coating of there homemade tomato sauce , I have to say the sauce was just incredible . Topped with there perfectly seasoned grilled onions green peppers and a few hot peppers in an olive oil base that soaked so nicely into that amazing bread . He also sliced two fresh slices from a big block of provolone cheese , and heated up sandwich in oven to melt the cheese . This is now by far the best best veal sandwich I have ever had and I now have my goto place for italian veal sandwiches. The veal was $10 but to be honest I would gladly pay $20 for this sandwich it's just that good people. My pictures speak for themselves as you can see. Service 5/5 again if I could give the service rating for this place more then 5/5 rating it totally deserves it. The elderly couple that run this place are genuinely so nice and you can see how much passion and love goes into there food and customer satisfaction..The man even offered me an espresso while I was waiting for my sandwich . I dosnt get any nicer then that ..please get to this place and support this couple and deli they are top notch . Try them out and enjoy the best veal in town by far

The staff was very attentive and answered all our questions with great patience. After we placed our order it arrived at our table in just a few minutes. Everyone raved about the large portions and the exceptional quality of our food. Although it was around $70 for the 3 of us i think it was worth it. I haven't enjoyed a meal like this in a very long time. Dining mid afternoon is unquestionably a good idea , missing both the morning rush and the dinner rush as well.

She shared with me what was fresh and made sure that it was on my plate. You cannot go there without having a black cherry with the combo or anything smoked meat. It's a must. I had tried other deli's proclaiming Montreal style smoked meat, but they all were so salty that not only did your blood pressure go through the roof, but you ended up with a giant headache. I will not disclose names. Here, the balance of flavours is ideal and just salty enough. Your timing will be everything with regards to finding parking and the noise level. Going between rush hour periods will guarantee a better experience. Enjoy!

Lovely gem in the airport past security…read more I was really beginning to hate my life and regret not picking up Wendy's before I went through security when I happened upon this gem. I'm extremely glad I found this place as there doesn't appear to be much available food wise at the airport apart from fast food options like Starbucks. There is booster juice as well but let's be honest that's not a full sit down meal. . I was about to give you and go to Starbucks when I found this place. It's after security near C30 and in addition to all day breakfast serves surprisingly good sandwiches. I settled on the crispy sandwich which came topped with coleslaw and Russian dressing on a tasty and fresh brioche bun. It came served with fries and dripping in pickles and their juices (despite me requesting no pickles). The chicken was an extremely crispy and well seasoned and did its name justice. The fries were nothing to write home about and a bit greasy and room temperature unfortunately. The portion was also extremely tiny. Service was good with my server making suggestions that he thought were better value for money. My dish came in at $23 for example and there was a two piece southern fried chicken meal with veggies option available for $25 so he made this suggestion. I didn't waver though because I'm a huge fan of brioche and I was really happy with my sandwich choice. I almost ordered a second sandwich just for the brioche bun but I couldn't justify paying almost $50 for an average airport meal. This place is off near the c30+ gates and is a nice little oasis with tables set up in 2 and 4 toppers. You also have the option of sitting in the bar or grabbing something to go from the deli counter. I chose to sit and eat alone (as I'm traveling by myself) but this was in no way uncomfortable since I got to enjoy lovely views of planes pulling in and out of the gate out the large window on the far side of the restaurant. Not a bad way to start my trip. Glad I found this place. I'd try it again if I am at the airport and haven't had time to eat before getting here.

I understand they need to cut costs and am glad they didn't sacrifice portion size. Which is their calling card. Shared the following for a party of 3: Fish and chips 2 piece order plus we ordered another piece of fish so we had one each. Solid as usual. Portion of fish seems thinner than before though. Calamari. - large portion as well. The breading detached from the squid too easily though. Pastrami sandwich. Nice portion. Except another table got an even bigger one with different bread. Not sure if it was a different order but he had 30% more meat. Be sure to ask for the hot mustard. Don't use the French's mustard on the table. I know it happens but we had hair in our calamari and one of our tartar sauces and sent both back. They replaced both but need to get their hygiene under control back there.

Overall I still come back but acknowledge that it wasn't what it used to be. I had the halibut fish and chips. Fish is thinner than before. Calamari is still good but the breading falls off. Pastrami sandwich is pretty consistent. Found a hair in my tar tar sauce and another hair in the calamari. Ambience is casual old school but it works for its style.

The European style butchers that once inhabited every second corner in Toronto are a vanishing…read morebreed, but fortunately for those seeking Hungarian delicacies, there remains the Blue Danube Sausage House. This is old school - there is the meat counter where you can choose from an assortment of charcuterie, the freezer section where you can pick up prepared goods, the dessert counter where you can satisfy your sweet tooth, the rack of fresh breads, a small hot table where you can fill the hole with that delicious schnitzel sandwich, and the dry goods selection where you can fill out your dinner needs. Everybody has an opinion on the best Czabi sausages, but these have to be included in the discussion. Ditto for the head cheese, the meatloaf, the pogaca (okay, that's bread, but it has bacon in it!) and just about everything else there. The freezer is stocked with the essentials - leczo, goulash, soups, and of course, paprika. The dobos torte is awesome, and so is the kremes, in fact, so are all the goodies in the dessert section. And the caraway rye is definitely one of the best in Toronto. I am happy that this place is still around to provide the high quality and harder to find Hungarian goods I am so happy with. Their Hurka and Pogacsa were the worst that I've ever had. The Pogacsa had no lamination (layers). You could tell that the dough was bulked out with added milk/water. As for their Hurka, both types, Liver & Blood were horrible. The Liver Hurka was 99% Rice and had no flavour. The Liver pieces were far and few between and were rock hard. The Blood Hurka wasn't any better. Where's the Blood? As well, what ever type of meat was inside was rock hard as well. Sadly, I bought 4 rings of each!!
