I really enjoyed that the shop had everything you needed for your next bbq - meats, produce, spices, etc. It made it convenient to get everything I needed in one stop. I don't know enough about meat prices to comment on what those are like (paid $80 for 6lbs of beef brisket) but I can tell you the price is every bit worth the quality of meat. The lady that was helping me said I definitely deserved a steak after being out for a bike ride. When I told her I was only half way and had to go all the way downtown she offered some help to keep my steak cool during my ride. They wrapped the meat in a piece of foam and then filled a small bag with ice and stuck the steak in there. We found out firsthand. We've sent drivers in for pickups and witnessed the owner, yelling and insulting employees on the floor. I could just imagine how he treats the people in the back. Their standards and quality are very low as they treat their employees very badly. So none of them really care about their job or quality control. The lady behind the plexi was very helpful and honest. She said they didn't have macadamia nuts, BUT if I were to buy them elsewhere, make sure they are fresh. I appreciate this because I have purchased rancid nuts before! ha ha, not fun as macs are $$$! I thought that I'd feel pressured to buy in such a small space, but atmosphere was relaxed. I believe they also offer samples as I saw a couple inside chewing on something. I decided to buy 1lb of mixed nuts are they were DEVINE! Soo fresh. Expensive nuts also included in the mix, so they don't shaft you with peanuts. They also sell freshly roasted coffee. And according to their sign, nuts are roasted...daily. A pretty long line formed while I was waiting outside as well, so I think that that's a really good sign!
