In the process of estimating, Trevor suggested a route for the conduit that was much better than I had in mind. I approved the estimate and Brandy scheduled Patrick and Zak to come out the following Monday. The guys took care of everything, even knocking down a wasp's next that Patrick discovered. My first contact with Buddy Heilig & Sons was with Brandy on a Tuesday and she responded very quickly offering a quote based on time & materials or have their estimator come out and provide a quote, which I chose the latter. Trevor came out when promised and was very nice and very professional. He had the quote back to me the same day which I accepted. Brandy scheduled the work for the morning of the very next Tuesday which was great and we were scheduled. Mind you, we were having guests arrive on Friday and I contacted Brandy with a long shot request asking if there was any chance of getting the install before our guests arrived. Brandy was very kind and said she couldn't promise but would certainly try. Well, Thursday morning arrived and she said she could have their electrician here first thing Friday morning. We were so delighted and thankful for Brandy doing this for us. We received a text Friday morning saying Rudy was on his way. Rudy got here and we very quickly realized that he was a joy to have in our home. Rudy was very professional and is an outstanding and very talented electrician. I was draining and flushing the water heater, everything was going great until I went to close the drain, and it leaked. Not a lot, but it would not stop. I tried all the you tube fixes. Agghhr. So I called the company that installed the heater, and they said 5 days to get some one out. I called Parker and Sons...same day. COOL! Let me say again...I LOVED the same day! service!. Larry came out and was nice. What I didn't get from you tube...was all I needed was a damn drain cap. So Larry put a drain cap on, and it was $79 dollars for the "diagnostic fee". Larry was very nice, and told me he could replace the valve for about 350 dollars. I told him I would think about it. They called several times to follow up, but I cant afford 350 dollars for ...a longer ...bigger drain. The $350.00 was at a 10% discount for having the family plan. I did sign up for the "family plan" for service of my AC etc. I am not sure yet, as I loved the quick response, but still am on the fence as to a couple things. TBD!

Given that Parker and Sons has thousands of reviews and a 4.7-star rating, I figured they must be…read morereliable. I had a technician come out to do an electrical inspection, and he listed several issues. The total estimate for repairs was over $30,000. This was a lot of money, so I naturally got a second, third, and fourth opinion to make sure everything was legitimate. I did not tell the other companies that I was getting multiple opinions, as I wanted "honest" assessments. All three of the other companies agreed on one major issue that needs to be repaired, estimating the cost at around $5,000-$7,000. When I asked about the other issues Parker and Sons pointed out (e.g., water damage), they said they did not see any of that. They double-checked and, for example, explained that the "water" was just normal grease from the initial installation. Basically, it seems like the technician who inspected my house from Parker and Sons tried to overcharge me by tens of thousands of dollars. Maybe others have had better service or received more reasonable quotes, but I strongly caution everyone to get a second, third, and fourth opinion. Personally, I will never use Parker and Sons again, nor will I recommend them after this experience. I immediately canceled my subscription with them. Be careful everyone.
