I came in to get a diagnostic of my custom computer. I knew I had had previous issues with my…read moremotherboard with this issue, but wasn't sure if the same cause was true here. I took it to John here after taking the advice of other reviews to call for his availability first. It's a small place, filled with computers in various stages of repair: very old fashioned. John met me and my comp, quickly confirmed my first suspicions of hardware failure but informed me that he would need more time to do hardware diagnostics. He took from start of business until 5pm to check every other part in the event that another component was at fault or if he could outright repair my issue. While he couldn't fix the problem, John was exhaustive in his checks and confirmed my bad mobo (which realistically was exactly what I had brought it in for, even if him fixing it was a distant hope). As he promised, the diagnostic without a fix cost me nothing but still gave me actionable information. More important here was the follow up. After asking John about the solution (new motherboard), he immediately followed up that I needed to also get other components or my computer would fizzle again (which again was exactly what had happened here). It's this extra bit, which could very easily save me a heck of a lot of stress and care a few years down the line, that sold me on this experience. Again, John got no pay for this visit, and won't get a kickback from my buying the extra parts (tho did recommend me a good shop that I also knew of), but still did his best to make sure I was in better shape leaving his shop than entering it. I'd say that's worth 5 stars for any industry, no?

After going through Assurant warranty and being assigned Video Repair Place, they reached out via text message to get further details about problem and the model of refrigerator. They then messaged to confirm appointment date and time several days out and the day before with window of arrival time for repair. On day of repair, the repair technician, Don, called when he was about 30-45 mins out again to confirm. Really appreciated the direct communication. Don arrived with replacement part in hand - he was very familiar with model of my refrigerator and the known issue with the defrost timer. In 5 mins he replaced the timer and the fridge came on and started cooling immediately. He was very personable and knowledgeable. Not sure about all these other negative reviews but I had a *great* experience and would recommend and use the company and Don in the future.
