Service is typical counter service diner service, just friendlier and helpful (if you're nice). Just don't call them hot dogs...they're WIENERS! Definitely old school feel to the place as well. If you're visiting, it's worth a stop for lunch or dinner. One final note...COFFEE MILK! Do you like Starbucks Frappuccino's, chocolate milk, etc.? GET A COFFEE MILK!!! Olneyville did it first.

I find that the ground meat doesn't have much flavor and instead dilutes the flavor of the wiener. The cheeseburger is delicous. My friend and I shared one but ended up getting another to share since we wanted more. The patty is grilled well (albeit thin), the cheese is melted, the lettuce and tomato are very fresh, and the mayo brings everything together. The fries were good, with a crispy outside and a soft inside. They do look pale, but don't let that fool you. The prices are affordable ($3 - $12), although it does add up since it's tempting to just keep ordering more "little" things. They do have a parking lot on the side of the building and plenty of seating inside. It gives retro vibes, so you definitely travel back in time a couple decades when you walk in. The staff is very efficient. They can handle multiple orders at once in a very timely manner.

The fries were incredible: perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and loaded with toppings without getting soggy. I ordered mine with blue cheese, chicken, and buffalo sauce, and it was honestly one of the best loaded fries dishes I've ever had. The staff was very friendly, and the customers--both locals and visitors--were welcoming as well. The only downside is that the restaurant is very narrow and small. If you're with a group larger than 2-3 people, you likely won't find seating and may have to get your order to go. I was grabbing mine to go anyway, so it wasn't a big issue, but it would've been nice to have the option to sit. Regardless, it was absolutely worth the walk and worth stepping inside. If I'm ever back in the area, I will 100% return.

It's a mountain of freshly and perfectly fried French fries smothered in gravy and graciously topped with Vermont Cheese Curds. Some bites are a mix of melty cheese with sauce covered fries. Other bites are salty, golden, crunchy fries. Either way, it's really bomb poutine! Love the casualness of these finger foods in a takeout container. It's the perfect snack to share (or not!), on the go, or during a music show. Service is friendly and somewhat fast, but the fries are worth the wait. There's a variety of options and I need to try others, but I like what I like!

Pretty much anywhere you go now, you have to pay close to $10 for a large well dressed sandwich. They also do a good job upselling you on the combos and the gourmet fries. The cheese is always melted nicely on top of the steak meat, which is nicely marinated and grilled....I love hot sandwiches, not big on cold sandwiches. As background regarding this restaurant, I can tell you that Charleys Philly Steaks is an American restaurant chain of Philly cheesesteak stores headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Formerly known as Charley's Steakery and Charley's Grilled Subs, the franchise was established in 1986 on the campus of Ohio State University. By 2022 there were over 600 locations in 45 states and in 19 countries. While studying real estate at Ohio State University, Charley Shin worked in his mother's Japanese/Korean restaurant in Columbus, Ohio. A wrong turn on a family trip to New York City resulted in Charley's discovery of the Philly cheesesteak. Charley convinced his mother to take a break, sell the restaurant, and invest her life savings of $48,000 in "Charley's," a 450-square-foot restaurant across the street from Ohio State's campus. Charley's first decision in the restaurant was to turn the grill around to face the customers, so they could always see their food being cooked, a move that would later become the trademark of the Charley's Philly Steaks chain. So if you are looking for good tasting gourmet fries, cheesesteaks, wings, or lemonades, this is the place to go at the Providence Place mall.
