Don't use this company!! It took 1 1/2 years to "finish" my water damage project. The finish work was so bad I finally told Jonny, the lead, to just go away. I will pay for competant trades to finish the job. Their painters are the worst, the drywallers not much better. The tile guys horrible. My bathroom door doesn't close because the threshold is too tall. The paint on the wood trim is two different shades. How hard is it to paint the entire piece of trim?? I could go on, but I think you get my story. The demo guys didn't put up dust barriers between the rooms so almost my entire downstairs was covered with tile and grout dust. Ive been in the construction industry for over 20 years professionally and these people are not to be trusted and quite frankly are a perfect example of why some people are suspicious of contractors. I have a hardwood flooring company(have been in business in Seattle for 32 years) and I did a project at the Campus Apartments for PSR back in may of 2019 and the owners of the building are very pleased with our work. PSR owes our company about $11,000.00 and they owe other trades/companies a total of about $80,000. I have confirmed with the building owner and insurance company that PSR has been paid,but they won't pay their subcontractors,they don't pick up the phone,don't get back to emails. I know they are in process of a lawsuit against them and they will be shut down. In the mean time I would never recommend them for any projects,be smart and stay away. And within 32 years we have a clean business record with all positive reviews and always got paid. The owner of PSR-only knows how to scam people. This is the WORST company I've ever dealt with! Poor customer service and communication. My deck was about to collapse and rip the siding off my house, they promised me they would come out and put up an emergency support beam until it could be fixed. I texted pictures, I left several messages with no response. By the FIFTH phone call someone finally came out to put it up. I had to call for updates on what the status was for fixing my deck and fence and it was 1 excuse after another, this went on for 2 months until I fired them. RUN, don't walk away from this business. Water damage to two apartment bathrooms took 3 1/2 months to complete. Well not really complete because although they told me and the insurance company it was complete they hadn't put sinks, countertops in, hadn't reconnected the water, hadn't put doors and toilet paper holder back on the wall, ...the list is long on how they messed up. I don't want to call anyone on "lies" but let's just say that their timetables and explanations are "truth-challenged. Weeks would go by with no work done. Finally, they gave me a modest credit and my maintenance person completed the work (in three days). When I told them that all this would be reflected in an online review, they wrote, "...please see item #11 on the Notice to Customer contract you signed." This clause is designed to prevent customers from using reviews to negotiate disagreements. I told them that I would not be writing a review until after the work was completed and there is no negotiation. They seem to think that threatening their customers not to give bad reviews is the way to handle disputes and solve problems. That tells me that they have no moral compass, are bullies, and have a Sarah Sanders approach to the truth and those that disagree with them. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I cannot in good conscience recommend PSR.We had a water leak in the wall behind our upstairs bathroom vanity at end of September 2016, went through the walls downstairs to our laundry/bath shared wall with the garage, under the hall way floor, into our den floor, into the kitchen & the ceiling at the bottom of the stairwell-so all our laminate hardwood flooring, drywall, laundry room floor, 2 vanities & painting. Allstate was great handling the dry out etc. and after some miscommunications with the adjuster we decided to use one of their rotating contractors. In comes PSR in January 2017 . My initial meeting w/ Kevin was good-he seemed on the ball & upfront & explained the process. Roll ahead 2 months later...I'm begging for a timeline from Jonny S. (our contractor/liaison/whatever he was -Easter is coming & I was supposed to host). We also have a 6 month mark that needs to be met for insurance. PSR bid around $13,000 for the flooring for Allstate. We had a previous flooring bid from Accents & Interiors for just under $11,000. PSR brings in a guy from Great Floors (think Shooter McGavin-pretty sleazy) that quotes (for the exact same flooring)...$18,000+!!! Absolutely not joking! So, I demand they use my guy at A & I. The flooring was only thing that went smoothly & we end up with a $2,000 credit now. Jonny asks us if we want to move the water heater in the garage to save some money to use elsewhere-my husband says yeah that's fine-another $500! credit. So the flooring left a slight gap (we went to engineered hardwood instead of laminate) so the flooring guys said they could do a quarter round along our baseboard. $1500. Kevin tries to tell me that's going to be out of our pocket. Um no...we have $2500 worth of credit-use it. He then proceeds to accuse us of taking business from his subs by moving the water heater-no buddy-Jonny ASKED US to do it, we didn't offer. Every step I had to ask-shouldn't I pick this out? Can I see samples? Are your guys going to show up today? Etc etc. communication was horrendous. The subs broke part of our sink hardware, left divots in the drywall, never sealed the tile on the upstairs vanity & Jonny ordered the wrong size so they had to cut it instead of us having bullnose for the backslash-so it looks sloppy. I complained & asked them to come back & fix these things...they had their money...never came back, never followed up, nothing. They didn't finish until late May 2017. I had to calculate every part of the budget for product cost myself-they didn't give me any actual numbers to work with for installation. When they sent the final invoice, again, I had to correct them on multiple items (overcharging, charging for items that didn't exist/work not done). If I hadn't been so on top of it they would've ripped me off thousands of dollars. What is infuriating is how wonderful Allstate was during this whole process. PSR doesn't deserve to be on their contractor list. read more

We had a pretty poor experience with PSR. I'm giving two stars because they did complete the job, and at first glance, everything is how it should be. However, the attention to detail was completely missing, and the job took way too long. Here's my story: We had a toilet overflow in early July. The water went straight down two stories, so we had to demo the bathroom floor, the walls and ceiling below the bathroom, the carpet, and the ceiling and walls on the lowest floor. PSR was recommended to us by our home insurance, so I figured they would be fine. They came out quickly, assessed the damage after it was all demo'd and dried out, and estimated it would take one month to complete. This was in late July. I tried to get them to put in the contract that it would be guaranteed completed by the end of September, but they said they would not be able to put in writing and reassured me multiple times over email that it would certainly be done well before then. After the initial expediency, it was all downhill from there. It was as if each task came to a surprise to my contractor liaison guy. He never had anyone lined up - the next step would come up, and he'd tell me he'd have to make some calls. He'd go missing for a week, I'd have to call him, he'd call back with tons of apologies, saying he was working on securing someone, and not to worry. The person he hired would come out with zero idea of what they were in for, and oftentimes have to leave to secure different materials that they didn't anticipate needing, making the job take even longer. Totally unprepared. Then they would complete their piece, my contractor guy would act as though the next step in the process took him by surprise, he'd have to only then start making calls to find someone to do the next step, a week would go by with silence, etc. etc. It was the same pattern with every. Single. Step. The company that demo'd the damage kept samples of the tile and carpeting that they had to remove so that it could be replaced easily. I confirmed that PSR had these samples when I hired them. When they were finally replacing the carpet and tile 4 months later, they claimed to not have any samples. They only then looked around for possible replacement options, then brought them over to compare them to what we had in the house. None of what they had was exact, but they just shrugged and said that's what they could do. I had to select carpet that was a few shades off, so now my hallway is a different color from my bedrooms, and tile that was a totally different color and shape than what's in my shower. When I mentioned this, I was told I could demo the shower at my own expense so that all of the tiles could match. Sure, sounds like a plausible solution, right? So finally, after pulling teeth and getting the job finished 3 months over schedule, the poor quality comes out. When they painted over the dry wall, they didn't go wall to wall so that the paint blended in, they only painted over the new drywall - leaving obvious paint shade differences in my living room, staircase, entryway, and bathroom. I had asked them to use a higher sheen paint when they repainted because my bathroom had originally been painted in matte, and while they confirmed this detail with me during planning, they didn't do so. The drywall didn't completely match up behind some of my light switches and thermostats so there are holes. The carpet guy insisted he was unable to make the molding along the bottom of the carpet meet so there's a huge hole in one spot. There is dry wall splatter all over my garage door. While my wood floors didn't scratch easily before, however the guys who PSR hired refinished my floors make it so even scooting a chair on the floor leaves a permanent mark. In case you're wondering how this timeline works out with it being November now, I'm writing this a full year later. I saw 3 flaws on my walls just today that reminded me of how irritated I am with their work and finally decided to post it on Yelp so others were warned. Don't be fooled by how quickly they first assess your job and get you on their calendar. Look elsewhere. read more

Whatever you do, do not go hire these guys. Our Insurance company, Allstate, hired PSR to fix our fire burned house. It took them over 10 months to get started on the fire damage repair. Our insurance claim only covered a year in repairs and ALE(extra living expenses). Not only that, when PSR did start 10 months later, they started building over fire-damaged walls that were not properly cleaned by Allstate. We ended up having to fire PSR after because they are incompetent, lack building skill and actually caused more damage to our 1906 home. We had complained many times to the "guy in charge" we were unhappy with the quality of work being done. PSR and Allstate have ruined that last 14 months of our family's life and take NO responsibility for the mess ups. Hire these guys at our own risk because they might ruin your life too. The only reason I give 1star is because there is no lower rating. read more

We initially hired these clowns at the recommendation from our insurance company to fix some water damage to our home. Initially, they were EXTREMELY fast to come out and survey the damage and get an initial quote. After that, they became unresponsive. I attributed this due to the fact that this was ongoing over the holiday season so I was willing to let it go until January started. The one time that they came to my house between the initial estimate was to pick up the deposit of $2,500. Now that January is here they are no longer answering emails or phone calls. Apparently, they are going out of business. I wish I had done my research beforehand instead of trusting my insurance company to recommend a reputable contractor. These guys are the most pathetic excuse for professionals I have ever heard of. read more

If your a subcontractor think twice before working with this company they promise to pay with in 30 days of completing the project, I have been trying to get paid for 5 months and they have ignored all emails and calls next step is to take them to court, it has been very frustrating and I don't recommend them to anyone. read more

Puget Sound Restoration was assigned to our house after winter storm damage. They were prompt, and the contractor who works for them, Dylan, was professional, timely, and found the subcontractors who could complete the roof, and soffit as needed. When the work was completed, he made sure everything was photographed and checked. They are recommended. read more

This company was contacted by our insurance company for an inspection/assessment of water damage to a wall of our home. I thought it was odd that Joe showed up with no ladder, so he had to use mine, but he also told me that he couldn't pull the plastic sheeting off the open exterior wall since he didn't have a stapler to reattach it - I loaned him mine. He then spent most of an hour sitting, working on a bid for rebuilding the small upstairs deck which had leaked into the wall. He didn't ask me about this... I would have told him that we didn't intend to rebuild the deck, but planned to have a window installed in that wall. Before he left he told me that he'd send the report to our insurance company, but that his firm wouldn't be interested in doing the work. He also said that "it's too bad that your house didn't burn down - that would have made it an easier claim." A few days later the insurance company rep called to tell me that our claim was denied as it was "only rot - not water damage." I asked them to send me a copy of the report filed by Puget Sound Restoration. When I received it I was amazed to see that his entire report had only two words of assessment... "extensive rot." He also didn't mention anything about, or take photographs of the water damage to our chimney area on the other side of the house, even though I offered to show it to him. He said, "that's o.k. - I've got it." I called his company number three times to talk to him about the report, but he never returned my calls. read more

Our insurance company recommended PSR after we had water damage in our basement and decided to do a full remodel. I really wish we would've done our research and read their reviews first because we had a terrible experience! The "painters" they brought in were likely day laborers from the Home Depot parking lot and they hand rolled our built-ins and doors after we paid to have them PROFESSIONALLY sprayed. Needless to say, the results were extremely disappointing and sub-par. In addition, they didn't pay several of their sub contractors, so they ended up quitting halfway through the job and left us hanging for months with no work being done in our house. A simple remodel that should've taken a maximum of 3 months took almost 9 MONTHS to complete! We also had to hire a local company to come in and repair the brand new carpet PSR installed because it wasn't properly stretched. The General Contractor who was in charge of our project was not only awful at communicating, but completely incompetent and condescending. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy! read more
