Obscene front desk person. I just called to cancel my appointments, and she rudely told me she would cancel and hung up the phone. Please be more polite and professional; you never know if you are speaking to someone with extremely traumatic past experiences. Staff members need to be more empathetic and professional. She also didn't inform me if I would be charged or not for not coming to my appointment today. I informed them of my decision through email on Saturday. Update: about 25 min later after writing this post, they have notified me through email that I won't be charged for canceling. I still think the way the staff person who spoke to me today and the first time I called their location could work on their tone, attitude, and behavior. read more

This place is beyond me. I've never seen anything like it. The receptionists are incompetent and useless. We had an initial appointment that seemed to go ok and were told we'd be called the next day to confirm the meds my son would be prescribed. We made a follow-up appt for 2 weeks. Well 2 weeks later and we've still heard nothing. I called and was told that my son had to talk to them even though I filled every form they gave me. Even when my son did call they told him they knew nothing. Is this place for real? My god, just look at the reviews here...obviously these people are clueless. Stay away! Had only one visit so far for ADHD treatment, but I have also spent time in their lobby seeing how the doctors and front desk staff deal with other clients. Most employees here are non-native English speakers. I mention that because I am very surprised how nice and accommodating these folks try to be, which is not something you consistently see from non-natives in this part of the world. They make a big effort to ensure their communication and tone is empathetic, well understood, and caring. I further marvel at their compassionate expression due to the fact that they are in psychiatry. I have been to several psychiatrists over my lifetime and nearly every one has come off as very cold and clinical to me. To a degree, it makes sense. They're dealing with unstable people who don't always act their best. They're also not therapists (psychologists), so they're not there to offer talk therapy per se. Yet, it's clear that they care and want to be sensitive to their patients. I witnessed them dealing with two other patients who were quite ridiculous. Their efforts to improve the situation and help care for these people was wonderful to see. I also very much appreciate the doctor's willingness to answer all of my questions while also providing me a very detailed walkthrough about all of the medication options. I felt like ultimately, what we did was (to a point) my choice. Having that level of empowerment in tandem with their willingness to work with me was great. I'm not sure if any of the negative comments are justified. I don't want to minimize or discredit anyone's experiences. Based on what I'm seeing so far, even if they're true, it seems to me that they're at least trying to improve the experience for their patients. Sometimes getting into a psychiatrist can be very difficult, so if they're able to see you relatively quickly vs another provider, I recommend giving them a shot. read more

For a place that deals with mental health issues, they sure do strive to make sure you kill your self. I can't afford my co pay ($90 a week) for my therapist and ($350) for my psychiatrist (just for me to tell him my meds still work) . I called to get my Zoloft refilled because without it I can't leave the house or stop cutting myself and they told me I had to come in and had to see the psychiatrist and they didn't care I could try to kill myself again. I only went in for a few sessions but got exactly what I needed. Slightly confusing to check in downstairs, to then go outside through another door, up stairs, and then to another lobby. Besides that, the room was clean, welcoming, and my therapist was friendly and knowledgeable. She helped me work through some grief and I'm so grateful. Being a Christian and her (maybe more spiritual), I didn't have a hard time relating. read more

Yes, it looks a bit shady, but the only problem I've had with them is rescheduling appointments. They are super strict with that and I can understand why. I worked as a receptionist for a doctors office before and it can disrupt the whole day and other patients appointments when someone is late or just doesn't show up. I have never had such a horrible experience with a drs office before coming here. They are disorganized, never follow through with what they promise to do for you and their communication is horrible. The Dr. I saw here was much older than I had expected, talked about himself my entire first patient appointment and never filled the prescriptions he said I needed. This place is ridiculous. Seriously, go someplace else. I'm an established patient with no history of payment issues. I've just switched jobs and my new insurance starts on the first of next month. I'm running out of my medication, so I decided to forego the wait and just pay out of pocket. Except they have a policy against paying out of pocket. I offered to pay cash or credit in advance but still no dice. The doctor isn't even available until after the first, but they won't even schedule the appointment for me until I can give them my new insurance information. Given that my doctor books at least two weeks out, I'll need go a full month without the medication that I need in order to do my job effectively. I haven't even been to see a doctor and I'm already having issues, with the office staff. Made an appointment through an insurance refferal, day of apontment I received a message canceling the apontment with no explanation given. On inquiring as to why I was informed that when I made the appointment the person I dealt with scheduled me with a doctor who isn't contracted with my insurance, I never specified with who I wanted to be scheduled, this was completely done by them. When I called to ferret out why my apontment was cancelled the staff member i dealt with was incredibly patronizing and rude. I do have to say that they did resolve the issue for me, but the complete lack of sympathy, the fact they attempted to place blame for the mix up on me,and the overall rude behavior are all troubeling. read more

I went here and was treated like garbage. I have severe complex PTSD & insomnia and needed help with sleep. They recommended a medication I have already tried multiple times in the past and it did not help. I even backed this up with other documents from previous doctors/psychiatrists. They talked to me for an hour and a half. I get 2 hours of sleep a night and my doctor had referred me as "URGENT" because I do not sleep at all. This place is a joke. I cried in the bathroom immediately after my appointment and left feeling worse than ever because of how they treated me. They even had 3 psychiatrists in the room talking to me. Why do you need 3 psychiatrists to talk to 1 patient? Ever? Awful place. Do not recommend! read more

Unprofessional front desk person doesn't know how to talk to people on the phone with mental issues. She got confused when I tried to make a copay at my last visit so they wouldn't have to bill me! They charged me copay for years even though my insurance already paid for it. They never mentioned that I didn't have to pay. It was 30 dollars every visit every week. When I realized that insurance was covering it- I had to raise hell and wait a half a year to get my money back. They mailed my check in a flimsy letter- no padding, nothing. I had to dry it out because the entire letter got soaked on the way to my house. Again, it would have been solved if they packaged MY OWN MONEY correctly. Front desk is beyond incompetent- they didn't know how to change my email in my account, they've gotten my times wrong or didn't schedule me at all when I would pick a time, and they let their voicemail fill up. Worst service I've had in years. Only reason I'm staying is for my excellent psychiatrist(Truc is the best practitioner there); but their front desk has let me down time and time again. There has to be something wrong with the staff here. No one that works here has any sense of bedside manor or how to communicate with a patient. I have to call multiple times and after I turned 18 I asked them to send me the emails and call and it took almost a year of my continuing to ask for that to happen and even so I don't get calls back when I ask questions. The first doctor I saw told me to get over my trauma and every doctor I've seen since hasn't been better. I've made an appointment with another office and if the rest of my care (and these reviews) show anything it's going to be hard to get my charts. My husband was seen here and we both had a very positive experience. He saw Truc, who was very knowledgeable, caring, patient, and attentive. He worked with both of us to troubleshoot all of our concerns and provide my husband the best care possible. The staff was always very responsive when trying to schedule appointments or reaching the provider by telephone. This is a great facility with competent providers and we would highly recommend seeking their services. read more

If I could rank a 0, I completely would. The receptionists at this place are AWFUL they always say "please hold" when they answer and don't give you a chance to say anything. Their billing department is useless, they don't understand anything. They billed my expired insurance for months then came back at me and got really pissed. Sounds like a good thing to do to a psychiatric patient right? They are always late, at least a half an hour. One day when I got there they told me THAT FUCKING DAY I'd be seeing a new doctor. Are you fucking kidding? And finally, the straw that broke the camels back, my new doctor wrote my a prescription for 30 days instead of 45 SO now I get to have really great side effects for a few days before I can get some more medication. All because of some doctors mistake. I tried to get more but they said my doctor is not available for about a week. Fuck this place. read more

My daughter has an appointment today. Every time we go, we have seen someone different which is difficult since she struggles with trust and attachment. I received a call from a supervisor yesterday who never identified herself or which company she was with. I had to investigate the phone number to identify it came from this company and now I'm being accused of falsifying contact information -- what would you do when a stranger calls from an unidentified number and asks for your young child?! I really have a hard time giving one star. My Nuerologist suggested I visit here. I did and was met with a student and some other person who did not listen to anything I said. For example, I said I was a twin and he asked me how old my twin was. After the evaluation they had me sign release papers and said they would follow up. It's been a month and no follow up. I just called them and the recep. Asked me if I wanted to leave a message for the Dr. I asked why no one would follow up and she said I can't answer for anyone else. This place is a joke. read more

If the mental care facilities from 50+ years ago were anything like this i understand why they were shut down. I was a patient of theirs for 7 years, from 16-23 years old. I feel free from the stress and caused by them. When i was 16 i paid my co-pay in cash (all i had) and didnt hold onto receipts. Nearly 2 years later i got a bill saying I didn't pay my copays 2 years ago. After an enormous amount of time and energy they dropped part of what they said I owed. After that incident i have a recording saved of a lady who rudely hung up on me because of my limited schedule to make an appointment saying "umm we're being disconnected" and hanging up. They never return phone calls also i left a message after my meds got stolen and called 3 days later then a week later and finally was able to talk to someone. Only one time in 7 years my medicine got stolen and they insinuated I was lying and told me that they need a copy of a police report. They then told me that id have to wait to see a doctor to recieve a new script but because they overbook patients id have to wait 3 weeks. My medicine can cause seizures off of it. Don't go here. Its not worth it. You'll feel crazier than before you seeked help. read more

It's a stretch to give two stars. The main doctor, S. Mustafa is really nice when he comes and checks in with you at every appointment. Also- I started off seeing Dr. Shah, and he was really great! Listened to me completely, asked a whole bunch of questions, great personality, and initially prescribed the medicine I'm on now. Unfortunately I believe he's on leave so I haven't been able to see him. They placed me with another doctor who I dislike. I mentioned that I occasionally smoked marijuana maybe once or twice a month and he lectured me on marijuana for twenty minutes straight. He did the same thing when I told him I would drink beer on the weekends. I get advising me against doing it if my medication was impacted negatively, but he was lecturing me like I was 12 and didn't know the effects of both drugs. When I asked to be placed with another doctor, the front office people failed to do so. They placed me with the same doctor and I got the same lectures about marijuana and alcohol the next appointment. The front office staff are incompetent. They haven't collected copays and so you have to wait to get a bill in the mail after the insurance has processed it even if you know your copayment. The stupid sliding window thing gives them an excuse to not greet clients and pay attention to their lobby- and I would know, I'm a receptionist at a medical office. The whole office is a 90's styled bomb and you can tell they cut corners right and left. I'm sure it's an insurance rule, but it's annoying having to see them every three months for refills. I go in there, tell the my medicine is still working well and then leave. Also- they don't send electronic prescriptions- another inconvenience. If it wasn't for the fact that the medication that Dr. Shah prescribed for me works so well and they're in my Providence Ins Network, I wouldn't go back. read more

If I could give 0 stars that would be more accurate for this place. Seriously don't waste your time with this unprofessional, rude and time-wasting place. I'm convinced the only way they stay in business is from referrals because I can't imagine them retaining the majority of their clients. It starts with the receptionist, they are the most unfriendly and condescending front end I have ever encountered period. They have a "privacy window" or as I like to call It a "customer service wall" that they love to shut in your face and demand you have a seat in the lobby. The doctors take tons of notes only to forget everything you discussed and drop the ball when It matters. It takes 4-5 days to get your prescription ready and by that time you are mostly likely running out and making countless phone calls to have It finally available before you're completely out. *Side note - My primary care Dr has my prescription ready in a matter of a few hours! The fact that It takes so long to get something they recommended blows my mind. I would not waste your time, energy or frustration on this place. It's ironic that a mental health practice would stress you out and make you question why it's that hard to provide good service to people that NEED good service. I gave them several chances to retain my business and even spoke to the head Dr Mustafa and his assistant about my displeasure a few times. Nothing changed and for that I'll gladly never step foot in that office again. Take your business elsewhere, you've been warned! read more
