Very disappointing experience! In this office, there are miscommunications at all levels - between the front desk and Dr Martin, between them and other offices (lab, etc.), between them and a patient. And the patient pays for the miscommunications.
Judge by yourself:
After my first visit I signed disclosures for releasing test results from a few other clinics. About a week later, I had message left on my phone from the front desk, calling me that my test results were in and I needed to schedule appointment. A few days later, Dr Martin emailed me that she didn't have the results and I needed to provide them to her. Right after this, the front desk called me and with very rude tone asked why I didn't responded to her message and made appointment. A week or two after I contacted the clinics, I received another call from the Dr. Martin office to schedule appointment because the results were received. Evidently, the results for my primarily problem were not received and Dr. Martin ended the visit after measuring my blood pressure (which have never been my concern). She rushed me thru the door and even didn't comment on my other results that were received. In the email correspondence I had with her, I specifically mentioned that my low levels of one of the blood tests worried me. At the door I asked about them and she quickly said to buy a supplement.
I wouldn't write review but the front desk manners changed my mind. After questioning why I should pay the second visit, she answered "Honey, you see Dr. Martin, you pay". Simply I feel that they are milking the system and do not care about the patients. In addition, she uses "honey" all the time. She might think that makes her polite but the over-familiarity and calling patients pet names is patronizing and unprofessional.
On the second visit, I filled in another release form and never heard back from the Dr. Martin's office again. It has been two months from my first visit. I had two visits, spent hundreds of dollars and lost work hours without resolution of my major health concern.
I think Dr. Martin potentially could be a good specialist but needs to work on the communications. read more
