Hi all! For a TLDR; I would be cautious of using this catering company for any events, as the individuals working your event will not receive and service charges, tips on the bill, tips on credit card slips, or part of any cash tips they receive. I recently worked a shift through a staffing agency to work a Christmas party on behalf of this company, There are many things I could add to this such as how food is handled, how sanitary the operation is etc, but I will focus on the treatment of workers. I'm someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for 15+ years. In all of my time, I have been extremely fair with tip pooling , treating others respectfully etc. What I experienced With this company is the first time I've seen something like this. Working a bartending shift, through the night we received some tips (very minimal amount per a person, maybe $1 average for a 3 hour shift and everyone ordering multiple drinks). About mid shift, the manager on site came behind the bar and grabbed the tip jar we were using. The manager then advised our cash was ready to be returned at our convenience as they had counted and disbursed it. When I returned to the tip pool (left on the counter randomly in a kitchen) roughly 50% of the money was gone. In speaking with another staff member on site, they advised that working with the same company, they have experienced selling drinks via credit card machine, ringing in $500+ of credit card tips, and never receiving any of them......I'm astounded this person returned to work for them. This kind of behavior pretty much speaks for itself. On the event invoice, there various fees for service staff on site, which the staff does not receive at all. I've worked at many other catering facilities in the area and in all of my time have never experienced something like this. A few tips when planning your next party: -Ask for proof that service fees and tips go to the employees working the event. -In the case that a company admits to them not going to the employees, if you plan on tipping employees separately, do it in cash, do it in person, and give the money to the individual(not one individual to disburse). Hope this helps yall be better informed about what can go on behind closed doors! Happy holidays! read more

Puff & Stuff- I have nothing but great things to say about them. Let's start with Sandy because I do not think our experience would have been the same without her. She went above and beyond, helping us with wedding related things outside of just catering. She is wonderful and we were very lucky to have the opportunity to work with her! She is the definition of great customer service. Now the food. It was incredible! We are from Argentina, so we love steak, and every time we have family members in town we take them to Bern's steakhouse. Our bar for steak is set pretty high. After dinner a family member approached the main table and said "this is better than Bern's!" Everything they served was beyond our expectations, everyone in attendance complimented the food so... Thank you Puff & Stuff... Thank you Sandy, you are the best! read more

First experience ordering from Puff-n-Stuff for an in-home bridal shower. The entire process was excellent. Ordering and payment was painless. (although using something like Venmo would've been even easier). Delivery was on time, and delivered professionally, and safely. Loved the food signs and plates and flatware. Everyone loved the presentation and the food. Deviled eggs platter was a hit. Salmon platter was also a big hit. The quiche platter tasted well but for some reason wasn't everyone's favorite. not sure why, i thought they were great. Regardless, the entire experience was excellent. We would love to use PNS again in the future. Absolutely. 100% read more

We used Puff N Stuff catering at our wedding at Armature Works and the food was incredible! They were very easy to work with and always friendly and helpful. I received complements all night long about how delicious the food was, and great service from the staff. I would HIGHLY recommend them for your wedding or next event! read more

NEVER and I mean NEVER bartend for this Company through any temp apps or hiring events. As a bartender it is important to tip out your bar backs and people who helped you that I can 100% agree with. But when you have Puff And Stuff employees who pocket tips and then want to split tips at the end of the night claiming that they "always split with their ENTIRE on staff that night" "also claiming that temps get less % of a split" even though that's not in the description of the job as a temp is where I draw the line, just because I'm a temp doesn't mean I do any less work than you or deserve any less. If you want to split your tips with people who help with the catering event than fine but make that apparent before the shift starts and also do it right away so people do not have a chance to be scum bags and pocket money earned. I can't speak for the entire company but if one employee claims " I am not going to get fired over not splitting tips" and then pockets more than half of their tip cash especially when multiple witnesses ( people who were hired by the temp agency ) know and saw that their stack at the end of the night was a lot smaller because we helped tend to their bar when it was busy. ( Also to note the witnesses saw them walk to their car at the end of the shift multiple times after closing down their bar while we were loading the trucks to which they did not help at all, which raises suspicion). It is not an honest company and definitely should not be a company used for employment if that's how their employees act. read more

We used this caterer for our December 2014 Christmas party they were terrible We made arrangements a month before confirming the week before and day before and day of the event We settled on 4 pm delivery they are 2 miles from our location Two weeks before they said the desserts were not included although it was on the proposal which we paid 890 We said no you proposed it you must provide desserts They provided a sub small pastries good but size of a nickel provided one for each 60 pieces yea right people will take one right on wrong! Then they provided 2 trays of vegs and 2 trays of stuffing but only 1 tray of turkey with gravy not enough for 60 people they may have provided one slice per person really now it was not worth 900 at all Worse they were late. We kept calling them we had 60 hungry people only the coffee person showed up They kept saying on our way they are 2 miles away they showed up at 630 pm at the end of the meeting and did not apologize They are terrible expensive not enough food and 2 1:2 hours late and the turkey was cold The freakin nerve don't ever use them they are the worse in Tampa Bay! read more

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Puff 'n Stuff for our wedding last week. They were awesome!!! I can't say enough great things about them. We worked with Sandy throughout the planning process and she was great. She set up an at home food tasting trial that was delicious. We got to try several different foods and pick our personalized menu. Sandy was a quick responder and very easy to get a hold of through email or phone throughout the past year. We had so many comments on our yummy buffet that we chose. Every server was great at our wedding too. I hope we get the chance to eat their delicious food again. If you're having doubts about this catering company...book them now, you won't regret it! read more

I worked for Puff 'n Stuff over 6 years ago as a bartender. I am a professional and worked very hard to give excellent customer service. The management is very shady. For example, I worked a big event at Pepin and we made over $600 in tips between 3 bartenders behind the main bar. Before the end of the event the supervisor came behind the bar & took our tips. At the end of the shift she gave me $21. I asked her what that was & she said it was my share of the tips. They divided the bartender's tips between the bartenders, servers, busboys, dishwashers, chefs, cooks, supervisors & managers. I could not believe it. If I go to an event, I expect the person I tip or at least the bartenders to get the tip. I would never hire a company that steals from their employees. The reason I am just writing this is because I met a nice young man who works for a temporary agent that was sent to Puff 'n Duff as a bartender. He told me he will never go back because the manager took his tips. I can't believe they are still doing that! He said that they can't keep good bartenders there, so they have to use temporary agencies. What a shady operation! If you do decide to use this company.just know that the bartender who works hard for you does not get to keep the tip you give him. There are too many excellent catering companies in the area that you don't need to hire a company that steals from their employees. If they do this, what other shady things are they doing??? read more

Puff 'n Stuff just rocked my socks off last night at the Grand Opening party for The Container Store! Wow! Not only was the food absolutely delicious, the service was above par and the creativity was unreal. They served all of the food in containers from the store. The set up was artistic and amazing. I cannot put into words how cool the store looked. Everything was delicious. They had mini-burgers that tasted so good I am already craving another! They had chicken, sushi, nachos, brisket, the most delightful mini BLTs that were to die for, but the desserts were like no other. I will admit that I did indulge in a couple of containers of red velvet cake. Holy cow this cake was the best I have ever had. If you are looking for a caterer, look no further! Thank you for a wonderful event! read more

We had heard so many compliments about Puff N Stuff catering, that I arranged a tasting for my daughter and her fiancé for their upcoming wedding. They were pretty much sold after trying a selection of appetizers and main dishes. They enjoyed the dishes so much that I actually canceled the other tastings and sent in a deposit. I was convinced that Puff N Stuff would be our wedding caterer when I received a proposal which pretty much included the bride and groom's EXACT REQUESTS for an after dinner sweets table. I received proposals from other companies with their own idea of a sweets table, but Amy Osgood from Puff N Stuff knocked it out of the park with the requested pumpkin whoopie pies, chocolate fudge with peanut butter frosting, chocolate covered strawberries, coconut macaroons, and a few other "chef selection" goodies. Communication was a breeze with Amy, our event planner, and Trish Seegobin, event coordinator. Meeting Amy for the first time was like meeting with a life long friend. She offered suggestions and listened to concerns. Amy and Trish both patiently answered all of my questions and quelled my mini panic attacks during the week prior to the wedding! Our guests enjoyed cocktail hour as they were offered several choices of fresh and interesting appetizers I could hear everyone asking who had tried which appetizer and arguing as to which was the best. The tables indoors were set beautifully for dinner, and the food was plated attractively. Our guests commented not only on the wonderful flavor of the food itself, but also on the large quantities of food offered. I cannot compliment enough the wonderful service we received by Puff N Stuff. The entire staff was dressed professionally, moved through the rooms seamlessly, and was kind spoken. While this company is used to catering parties that are much, much larger than our group, we were made to feel that our impression of their service was truly important to all of them. Following dinner and dessert, the staff promptly cleaned up and exited the property, without anyone noticing or even knowing that they were gone ~ except for me, mother of the bride, because they asked once again if there was anything else that they could assist with or provide before they left. Awesome service! Tremendous Meals! Thank you, Amy, Trish, and the Puff N Stuff Staff for helping to make Allison and Brian's wedding a memorable and tasty evening for everyone! read more

Amazing communication! They are very friendly, quick to respond and produce a very high quality atmosphere. Unfortunately, we did not go with them because their price was considerably higher than my budget allowed. I am SURE they would have been great and we would have loved it. If you have an open budget and want high quality, certainly go with them. I would recommend! read more

If you are considering a catered event in the Tampa area you really should use Puff n' Stuff. Sonya handle every detail of our event with the utmost professionalism. It was a complete pleasure to have her and her staff taking care of our event and would love to have them come back for any event in the future read more

Their food was amazing!!!!!! I cannot stress it enough! If you are in the Tampa bay area or Orlando area anywhere they are located book their catering service. My husband and I are I guess what people call foodies and my husband is very picky about his food and how it tastes. Their food was phenomenal! I'm glad I got to taste the food before because to be honest I wasn't able to enjoy it at my wedding, could have been the nerves but I couldn't bring myself to eat and I am still really upset about that. Our guests raved about the food though. I did ask them to box up any salvageable left over food but unfortunately my dad was only thinking about himself and ate them before we could. Definitely a must!! Thank you!! I wonder if I could stop by and get a plate to mimic what we had. read more

The Tampa division of Puff N Stuff caterers (not Orlando, I can't speak about them) promised the sun and moon, delivered a foggy sunset. The tastings were wonderful but when it came to wedding day, nothing was how they told us it was going to be. Drab buffet table decorations, they were supposed to provide props, decor and fresh greenery, provided nothing even got the linen color wrong. Cocktail hour was nonexistant, supposed to have 4 appetizers per person, most guests got none a few 1 or 2, guests knew something was wrong and a few mentioned that I should check with the kitchen. I did, very little response from the servers. Dinner --Salad was lettuce little more and no salad bowls, put it on your dinner plate. Supposed to get individual grilled filet mignons for each guest (considerable upcharge), they came with a carving station, myself, mother of the bride, I received 2 slices of beef the size of quarters. Chicken was cold. Last table or two of guests, (maybe more tables, I came to eat after most of my guests had,out of habit) came to the buffet and this is what they got and what I saw with my own eyes... half bowl of lettuce, no salad dressing left in the bowl (my guests were scraping the bottom of the bowl with the spoon, I was mortified), absolutely empty platter of vegatables (what was promised was supposed to be a gorgeous platters of roasted vegtables), cool chicken, scant amount of beef (end portion no bigger than the size of a quarter around). The staff ( entire staff, not just one or two) was standing around in the kitchen talking when I went in there to ask what was going on! I can't say they were rude just dismissive and appeared to care less what was happening. The owner of the venue where we had the wedding has since mentioned to me that the last 4 times puff n stuff catered weddings there, that their clients were unhappy. That is why there not on the list of caterers he recommends. I don't want to go into every single detail and there were many, I am disgusted with, suffice to say if I had to do it again, I'd run as fast and as far away from these caterers as I could. Please don't let them ruin your special day!!!!!!!!!!! read more
