After we booked the wedding, we were provided the contact info for 3 C's to set up a tasting. In the middle of the pandemic, we thought this would be a challenge but it went perfectly. Our tasting was set up at their location off 301. We sat in the dining area where they also serve daily lunch. The place was empty except for those working so it was nice. Like a private dinner just for us. We gave them the foods we wanted to try ahead of time so they were ready when we got there. One-by-one, dishes were brought out and explained to us. Starting with the appetizers, main course and side dishes. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They brought out each dish, explained it and how it was made. I don't remember everything we tried but we ended up going with the bruschetta for an appetizer. The spring mix salad. Brisket and pulled pork with sides of green beans and mac and cheese. Everything is made from scratch and customizable. You can give suggestions for flavoring based on preference. The appetizers and meats we kept as is. The mac and cheese was good but we opted to add a bit more seasoning. The green beans were excellent as well and had a sweet taste to them as well. I think the secret ingredient is some sugar! Our wedding day went by so fast. Our wedding planner at Almost Heaven Farm made sure we ate, which was great. The food was fantastic. Hot, fresh and tasty. The bruschetta was fresh and on top of crispy bread. The pulled pork was moist and the brisket was savory and delicious. The green beans were just as we remembered with that hint of sweet. They were always so polite and kind on phone calls when arranging final numbers, vendor meals, etc. The food was delicious and the guests raved; everyone had a favorite. They were pretty much sold after trying a selection of appetizers and main dishes. They enjoyed the dishes so much that I actually canceled the other tastings and sent in a deposit. I was convinced that Puff N Stuff would be our wedding caterer when I received a proposal which pretty much included the bride and groom's EXACT REQUESTS for an after dinner sweets table. I received proposals from other companies with their own idea of a sweets table, but Amy Osgood from Puff N Stuff knocked it out of the park with the requested pumpkin whoopie pies, chocolate fudge with peanut butter frosting, chocolate covered strawberries, coconut macaroons, and a few other "chef selection" goodies. Communication was a breeze with Amy, our event planner, and Trish Seegobin, event coordinator. Meeting Amy for the first time was like meeting with a life long friend. She offered suggestions and listened to concerns. Amy and Trish both patiently answered all of my questions and quelled my mini panic attacks during the week prior to the wedding! Our guests enjoyed cocktail hour as they were offered several choices of fresh and interesting appetizers I could hear everyone asking who had tried which appetizer and arguing as to which was the best. The tables indoors were set beautifully for dinner, and the food was plated attractively. Our guests commented not only on the wonderful flavor of the food itself, but also on the large quantities of food offered. I cannot compliment enough the wonderful service we received by Puff N Stuff. The entire staff was dressed professionally, moved through the rooms seamlessly, and was kind spoken. While this company is used to catering parties that are much, much larger than our group, we were made to feel that our impression of their service was truly important to all of them. Following dinner and dessert, the staff promptly cleaned up and exited the property, without anyone noticing or even knowing that they were gone ~ except for me, mother of the bride, because they asked once again if there was anything else that they could assist with or provide before they left. I recently worked a shift through a staffing agency to work a Christmas party on behalf of this company, There are many things I could add to this such as how food is handled, how sanitary the operation is etc, but I will focus on the treatment of workers. I'm someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for 15+ years. In all of my time, I have been extremely fair with tip pooling , treating others respectfully etc. What I experienced With this company is the first time I've seen something like this. Working a bartending shift, through the night we received some tips (very minimal amount per a person, maybe $1 average for a 3 hour shift and everyone ordering multiple drinks). About mid shift, the manager on site came behind the bar and grabbed the tip jar we were using. The manager then advised our cash was ready to be returned at our convenience as they had counted and disbursed it. When I returned to the tip pool (left on the counter randomly in a kitchen) roughly 50% of the money was gone. In speaking with another staff member on site, they advised that working with the same company, they have experienced selling drinks via credit card machine, ringing in $500+ of credit card tips, and never receiving any of them......I'm astounded this person returned to work for them. This kind of behavior pretty much speaks for itself. On the event invoice, there various fees for service staff on site, which the staff does not receive at all. I've worked at many other catering facilities in the area and in all of my time have never experienced something like this. A few tips when planning your next party: -Ask for proof that service fees and tips go to the employees working the event. -In the case that a company admits to them not going to the employees, if you plan on tipping employees separately, do it in cash, do it in person, and give the money to the individual(not one individual to disburse). She has been incredibly easy to work with - providing an amazing fresh menu for each event we have. She is gracious, welcoming, warm and her food is - oh em gee - delicious. I took an extra meal home for my hubby and he wants her to do ALL his lunches. I have no doubt as we continue to have our networking events here, we will be spoiled by the incredible array of options that are also healthy, often gluten free, and she was able to also accommodate dairy allergies. She is typically open just for lunch but the attached space is PERFECT for wedding/baby showers, networking lunches/dinners or any smaller private function you may have like a birthday/retirement celebration. She was also able to accommodate our wine-loving group with some wine for the evening. We each were able to pay our own tab and she surprised us with small tasting dessert bites. We had several phone call meetings where they answered any questions we had and helped us figure out the exact quantity of each item (liquor, mixers, fruit, etc) we would need and even communicated with us through text. They also provided us with a rep at ABC who helped us placed our order, found us the best deals, and recommended brands based on what our preferences were.
