We had heard so many compliments about Puff N Stuff catering, that I arranged a tasting for my…read moredaughter and her fiancé for their upcoming wedding. They were pretty much sold after trying a selection of appetizers and main dishes. They enjoyed the dishes so much that I actually canceled the other tastings and sent in a deposit. I was convinced that Puff N Stuff would be our wedding caterer when I received a proposal which pretty much included the bride and groom's EXACT REQUESTS for an after dinner sweets table. I received proposals from other companies with their own idea of a sweets table, but Amy Osgood from Puff N Stuff knocked it out of the park with the requested pumpkin whoopie pies, chocolate fudge with peanut butter frosting, chocolate covered strawberries, coconut macaroons, and a few other "chef selection" goodies. Communication was a breeze with Amy, our event planner, and Trish Seegobin, event coordinator. Meeting Amy for the first time was like meeting with a life long friend. She offered suggestions and listened to concerns. Amy and Trish both patiently answered all of my questions and quelled my mini panic attacks during the week prior to the wedding! Our guests enjoyed cocktail hour as they were offered several choices of fresh and interesting appetizers I could hear everyone asking who had tried which appetizer and arguing as to which was the best. The tables indoors were set beautifully for dinner, and the food was plated attractively. Our guests commented not only on the wonderful flavor of the food itself, but also on the large quantities of food offered. I cannot compliment enough the wonderful service we received by Puff N Stuff. The entire staff was dressed professionally, moved through the rooms seamlessly, and was kind spoken. While this company is used to catering parties that are much, much larger than our group, we were made to feel that our impression of their service was truly important to all of them. Following dinner and dessert, the staff promptly cleaned up and exited the property, without anyone noticing or even knowing that they were gone ~ except for me, mother of the bride, because they asked once again if there was anything else that they could assist with or provide before they left. Awesome service! Tremendous Meals! Thank you, Amy, Trish, and the Puff N Stuff Staff for helping to make Allison and Brian's wedding a memorable and tasty evening for everyone!

Hi all! For a TLDR; I would be cautious of using this catering company for any events, as the…read moreindividuals working your event will not receive and service charges, tips on the bill, tips on credit card slips, or part of any cash tips they receive. I recently worked a shift through a staffing agency to work a Christmas party on behalf of this company, There are many things I could add to this such as how food is handled, how sanitary the operation is etc, but I will focus on the treatment of workers. I'm someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for 15+ years. In all of my time, I have been extremely fair with tip pooling , treating others respectfully etc. What I experienced With this company is the first time I've seen something like this. Working a bartending shift, through the night we received some tips (very minimal amount per a person, maybe $1 average for a 3 hour shift and everyone ordering multiple drinks). About mid shift, the manager on site came behind the bar and grabbed the tip jar we were using. The manager then advised our cash was ready to be returned at our convenience as they had counted and disbursed it. When I returned to the tip pool (left on the counter randomly in a kitchen) roughly 50% of the money was gone. In speaking with another staff member on site, they advised that working with the same company, they have experienced selling drinks via credit card machine, ringing in $500+ of credit card tips, and never receiving any of them......I'm astounded this person returned to work for them. This kind of behavior pretty much speaks for itself. On the event invoice, there various fees for service staff on site, which the staff does not receive at all. I've worked at many other catering facilities in the area and in all of my time have never experienced something like this. A few tips when planning your next party: -Ask for proof that service fees and tips go to the employees working the event. -In the case that a company admits to them not going to the employees, if you plan on tipping employees separately, do it in cash, do it in person, and give the money to the individual(not one individual to disburse). Hope this helps yall be better informed about what can go on behind closed doors! Happy holidays!

We will be doing our wedding catering through SaltBlock and we could not be more excited. We…read morerecently did our menu tasting and were so happy with the food and even the staff helping with the tasting were so polite and professional. If you work with Ryan, he's extremely attentive to details and will make sure you are happy with your menu. The thing that helped us make our decision was the presentation of the food, which I think it's super important for the overall experience at an event. Not only is all their food delicious, it's presented beautifully. They also have great unique additions for catering, such as their oyster cart for fresh shucked oysters in happy hour, the salt mine which is a large beautifully displayed 8ft cheese and charcuterie board and the dessert mine, a large 8ft dessert spread. We will be doing family style, a fun in between option between plated and buffet. If you are looking for catering for any event, especially wedding catering, I would highly recommend this company! Your guests won't be able to stop raving about the food.

Their staff members, Ice (lead server) and Dunia (2nd server) were absolutely awesome! They showed up on time coming to Venice, Fl from Tampa during very heavy "Ian" recovery traffic. Not only did they impress us with arriving with ample time to set up before guests arrived, they were very personable, happy, enjoyable and extremely efficient in serving and clean up. The food by Affordable Catering was absolutely amazing. The 62+ guests we had were thrilled with the food and service. I decided to go with them expecting the same experience but this was not the case at the end. My husband, fiancé at the time, and I went to the testing, Jennifer took care of us and we expressed our menu was going to be pork-free and it was reflected in our options, chicken and steak. About a month before the wedding they changed the contact person as Jennifer left the company. This cause a great deal of stress in me due to the fact that when I spoke with Maria she seemed that she did not have a clue if what I was talking about, regarding all the menu and specifics, I had already discuss with Jennifer and changed completely the quote adding a good $800 extra to quote. Come wedding day, first, I had nice matching silverware and the team decided to put the metal silverware next to the silver wear. Here the common sense was not used. This clashed with the decor. I remember mentioning to put the silverware next to the food so if people wanted to use those instead of the ones in the table they had the choice. Secondly, the caesar salad had bacon on it and it was pre-made. Once again, I was very explicit about not wanting pork in the menu. Half of my family ended not been able to eat the salad and I found this so annoying as I paid almost $2,400 for the services. Third, the head server approach me at some point of the wedding to ask me about the services and I told her how I was feeling and told her 'not great'. To this day NOBODY from this company has reached out to me for feedback. Needless to say they won't have my business nor recommendation in the future. Lastly, keep in mind it has been almost a full year of my wedding and I still feel strongly about it all.
