Hired this group for my daughter's wedding at Davis Island Garden Center. Everything was great prior to the event, good communication and responsiveness, and reasonable pricing with a can do attitude. We pretty much knew what drinks we wanted, what beer, wines and liquors to be made available for the open bar and champagne toast. And we discussed the garnishes and mixers in detail. We provided thorough details about our needs and expectations, intentionally kept the bar service very basic and relied on Tailor Maid's expertise to provide excellent service for our guests. They were in charge of how much to purchase and where to buy and deliver. They knew the number of people coming which did not increase.
An hour and a half before their bartending service ended they ran out of almost all of selected drink options!! And they didn't tell us they were running low, they didn't tell our wedding coordinator either. They told our guests when they ran out who in turn told us!! When we approached them and asked when more was coming there didn't seem to be a plan in place, it took over 45 minutes for a delivery to come. There were so many excuses as to why and how and the apologies were not sincere. At one point the owner told us there was concern about the liability to continue serving however they had no concern on getting more alcoholic drinks delivered for our guests. We were told in the beginning they would not run out, they could return anything that was not chilled, so obviously they don't have the cash flow to use OUR DEPOSIT strictly for our purchase costs, or they don't know what they're doing on estimates.
