Dinner was a treat today at the recently opened Mexican Restaurant in Delta. We choose carry out since we busy but will definitely stay and eat inside next time. This location has been a couple other businesses including restaurants but I think Pueblo Lindo will be welcomed here for a long time. Walking in the doors of the small building, it seems bigger when you are inside. The fragrant smells of great food and the softly playing music is very inviting. Booth and table seating is available and a pleasant woman greeted us warmly as we gave our take out order of a grilled steak bowl and a grilled chicken bowl. While we waited we were offered chips and salsa which was so good I could have just been happy with those. It was a nice little treat as we waited which was not long at all. Grilled steak or chicken bowls comes with black beans, white rice, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, corn and shredded cheese. It's number 16 on the menu since I will be ordering those again. Also, chips and salsa were given with the order. I can tell right now this is going to be a go to lunch and dinner stop. A side note, they offer a kids menu for families.

We stopped here when driving through Ohio, hoping for something different than burgers or pub food. The staff here are very pleasant and casual - we picked our table and waited for waters, etc. We stumbled in on a Tuesday- as in TACO TUESDAY. So maybe they were a bit busier than usual, bc our service was relatively slow. But our dishes were authentic Mexican food. Handsome Date's chicken tacos consisted of slow cooked and pulled chicken meat. Very tender and tasty. I ordered the enchiladas topped with pork (118). I was surprised to see the amount of toppings was huge! Delicious pork sautéed with onions, peppers, and tomatoes. The spices were so good and the tomatoes were especially fresh - and refreshing! This dish was a bit on the salty side, but it was still soooooo good. If you're ever near this little place, stop in for some authentic Mexican food!

We went again on Saturday. WOW!…read more Started with a Martini for my dining partner and iced tea for me. Both were great. The waiter (Josh, a five-star waiter if ever there was one) really knows how to take care of his customers. He really knows the menu, can explain the dishes along with their components and what makes them unique and paces each course perfectly. He even asked if we were BOTH done before any dishes were removed from the table. Nothing looks worse than one person still eating while the rest of the table has no plates in front of them. We started with the roasted carrot salad. The carrots were perfectly roasted and chilled with and amazing tahini "paste" and radicchio, perfectly dressed with a lemon vinaigrette. OUTSTANDING!!! Seriously, this could have been my entire meal! The tahini paste is great, and I made it once while making a tahini dressing for roasted Brussels sprouts. Tahini naturally gets thick (paste like) when liquid is added. To make the paste, just stop adding liquid to it and stop mixing until it gets smooth again. Seriously, delicious. We both ordered the chicken schnitzel for our entrees. It comes with a really nice side salad consisting of mixed greens, dressed again with a very mild vinaigrette. My only quibble (and it's a really small one) is I would have liked the schnitzel to be a bit thinner. That said, it was perfectly cooked, not at all dry and the thickness is up to the creator of the dish. I don't think there's a "standard" for this (ha, ha - get it!). Great breading and very tasty. The dessert... Again, had to go with the sticky toffee pudding! If this is on the menu, there's no way I'm not going to order it. GOD, it's just a perfect ending to a great meal, well, that along with a pot of French Press coffee. All in all, the meal came to $108.00 excluding the tip. Expensive, but WORTH EVERY PENNY! I spent that much a few weeks ago (maybe more) on a really awful meal/experience at a different place. You'll have to read my old reviews to figure that one out! Anyway, this place treats their employees like they actually appreciate them. They took them on a cruise! Of all the restaurants I used to work at, the best thing I ever received was a shift meal or maybe a cold beer because I was still at the place cooking apps at 1:00 in the morning and the manager wanted to go home but felt bad because I couldn't leave. Thanks for the glass of Miller Lite draft, Mr. Chi-Chi's manager guy! Everyone in the place, from the servers to the hostesses, to the bus folks and the floor manager had smiles and a sense of graciousness and appreciation to each and every customer. Try to find that at any other restaurant in Toledo. The food is top notch, made with very unique recipes and techniques you're not going to find anywhere else. The dining room and restrooms (at least the men's) are clean. I never had to ask for a refill on my iced tea or water. New silverware was brought before each course was served. The old plates were removed from the table after the staff asked if it was OK to do so. Proper training in procedure and etiquette is obvious. Again, just a great meal in every way - 10 out of 10! Can't wait to go back.

After visit #2, I'm not sure there will be a visit #3 anytime soon. The consensus among friends -- confirmed now by our own table -- is that everything is too heavy. The first few bites bring the oohs and the ahhs. By halfway through the plate, the ughs and the oofs begin. The menu reads as thoughtful and dialed in. Our table of four ordered very different entrees -- seafood, steak, pasta, salad -- and somehow every plate arrived at the same destination: rich, savory, dense. No acid. No brightness. And strangely, blue cheese and garlic had crept into every single bite, as if the kitchen could not bear to let a dish leave without them. A meal that should have pleased everyone left most of us with a mild remorse. I felt surprisingly ill for hours afterward -- not because anything was unsafe, not because it wasn't delicious, but because it was simply too much. Too rich. Too savory. The body, it turns out, asks for contrast, and we had not been given any. The service, on the other hand, is STILL outrageously good. Without question some of the best in the region -- better than nearly every higher-end room in town. But the atmosphere is stuffy, the food is one-note, and high quality is not the same thing as good execution. My wife's "medium plus" steak arrived extremely rare. My salmon was undercooked. At this price, that is inexcusable. Still -- the service. The service is something to behold.

We ordered some cheese logs (we figured they were large gooey cheese sticks given the name "logs" but it was more of a nod to the restaurant name as they were just run of the mill cheese sticks). From there things went mediocre. Service got slower, food coming out got slower, drink refills got slower....there appeared to be some waiter issues (we had time to people watch) but couldn't exactly tell what was going on. Our waitress was extremely busy, but it didn't seem the others were. Food was ok. I had the SOB chicken wrap and my husband had chicken chunks. The wrap was good but I would probably get something different should we find ourselves there again. The chicken chunks looked tiny but my husband said they were good. This amazing burger, with its olive aioli, manages to walk that tight rope between " unique specialty burger," and "traditional American cheeseburger" perfectly. It was awesome. So the first line of my original review is wrong. At this point I am advocating that you roll all the way out to Morenci just for a burger! ***ORIGINAL REVIEW*** No. I'm not advocating that you roll all the way out to Morenci just for a burger...BUT, if you happen to be passing through town, and you're hungry, you should definitely stop here. Not including the five (5!!!) dispensaries in this little southern Michigan burg, I think the pub is the only place in town devoted to serving mind altering substances...and burgers. "The Works" (see pic) comes with fries and all the standard burger toppings. It's simple, it's basic, and it is a burger TOTALLY done right! Perfectly cooked patty? Yep. Fresh veggies? Perfect combo of condiments? You got it. Fresh soft brioche bun. Sho'nuff. Draft beer? Basic American waterbeer, and, Two Hearts. More stuff available in bottles, but I didn't check these out. Atmosphere: Damn, I walk into what I figured was going to be a shitkicker bar, and California Love is playing. Follow that with Lil' Wayne. Perfect. I didn't expect that. This place is very cozy, and although I was definitely an outsider, I wasn't treated that way. Everybody was friendly. So...would I personally drive all the way back out here just for a burger and a Coors light?? Yeah. I would. The Morenci pub may not be perfect, but it's perfect for what it is! 4 stars! I'm planning to try some more of the food...maybe a fifth star is on the way.

Unfortunately they were closed on Sunday so I had to call into my bank and cancel my card. While reviewing the transactions, I realized the amount they had authorized to my card was $10 more than our bill+tip. I used to be a server and worked at a bank so I know how authorizations work so I patiently waited until it cleared. My worst fears were confirmed! Not only did she not return my debit card after payment, apparently she was upset with her 12% tip and added a 1 to my tip to make it +$10! I called pretty upset on Monday afternoon and talked to a manager named Collin who seemed to not care about the issue. No apologies, only to promise to talk to the owner to see if they could do something for me since I lived out of state. I waited until Friday to call them back and was told by the hostess that Natalie would be calling me back later as she was on a call. She did call back about 1 1/2 hours later and said she had already refunded my card for the $10 and that she had looked at the receipt and it appeared I had issues writing with the pen so she could see how the server (Caitlyn) could have thought the tip was $16. 25! I let her know I had no issues with the pen and anything other than my 6.25 on the receipt was added by her server. I told her I was worried for all of the other tables where she had given bad service to and she had done the same thing. She said the server already gave the store back the $10 and apologized for the confusion. Sorry, there was no confusion here! I do truly appreciate Natalie with apologizing for the issue and refunding the money but I would never go to this place and if you do, I would make sure your server wasn't named Natalie. I changed my rating from a 4 to a 1 due to this fiasco. This one was hard to rate. Wish Yelp let me do somewhere around 3.5-3.8. What was good? We walked in and only had to wait about 10 minutes on a Saturday night the weekend of Mother's Day. Our server started off really bad. Didn't introduce herself and she started talking when we weren't even looking at her not realizing she had made it to the table. Her service didn't get much better from there. No mention of the specials. No offer of adult beverages. Bad. Just... What do you want to drink? I used to be a server so I know what they are told to do. We started off with cheese curds and they were pretty good. A little burnt tasting which it felt like was due to older oil that they were fried in. Other than that, they were pretty good. My wife got the Balsamic Chicken Breasts and she absolutely loved hers! She took half of it home so it felt like a pretty good value. I got the Sully Burger and had high hopes. It was good, don't get me wrong. But was it amazing? Nah. The burger was completely overdone and dry. Also didn't love the fried potatoes on it as much as I thought I would. Unfortunately, I was most excited about the horseradish sauce on the burger and it was non-existent. But... All this being said, it was a good burger. Not great. The ambiance of the place was pretty cool and we did really enjoy ourself. So.. I rated it on here at a 4 but probably not quite that good considering the horrible service. She also took forever to come check on us and bring us our check. Probably 20 minutes once we were done (and 20 min after we told her we were done!)

I really wish I had read my review from two years ago because I should have ordered something other than chicken. Once again, I found the chicken dry and difficult to cut - even with a steak knife. I didn't complain about the chicken because I was hungry and had already complained that the Chardonnay tasted like it was spoiled from heat exposure (awful aftertaste) and it was taken off my check.
