So when we needed new roofing, siding, gutters, gutter covers, facia and soffits I obtained several quotes. Erik didn't hesitate to come out to Farmington and quote the project. We had some "slick" salespeople and we had a guy that wouldn't give me a quote (he really didn't like women was my opinion) and would only deal with the insurance company. Erik was professional, honest and not "slick." The price was fair. My test is always the "warm and fuzzies." After a few meetings with Erik, he had my business. Then came the problems. Every color combo for all of the above items had items out of stock, discontinued or something. Erik made a lot of phone calls and several vendor trips. I have no idea how many combos we went through - probably 15 or so. Finally we found a combo that could be put together. YEAH!!!! Erik was patient through all of the "I hate neutrals" moments and several trips of holding colors against the house in different light. Roof install went well and then we had to wait 2 weeks for the siding. The siding installation was completed and they came back and fixed a couple of small items and we were done before Thanksgiving. Erik was around almost daily and even picked up extra FOD on his own. They installed our new lights and Ring cams too. Erik was easily reachable and kept on top of the project and kept me up to date. Very impressed. They were within $7 of the original quote (I think permit fees changed). Very happy and thankful that I selected Erik and Roofs R Us.

We received his estimate and it was honestly a good bit less than we expected. We had good communications prior to the job, he showed up when he said he would, and watching him work revealed a great deal of attention to detail, and I actually saw him measure things 3 or 4 times before cutting.... When the Chicago area got DUMPED on in early December we quickly realized we had a HUGE problem…read morewith ice dams. Aside: turns out the decision by the previous owners to build a house with vaulted ceilings and the bare minimum insulation between the ceiling and the roof creates the prefect recipe for ice dams! Yay! After frantically searching, and calling a few options, we went with Ice Dam Guys for a few reasons: 1) they answered the phone and were willing to work with us on scheduling 2) they have an INCREDIBLE website that covers & educations on everything ice dams 3) they had someone out QUICK The guy that came out (Nick) was super cool and gave it to us straight. He got right to work too. He listening to my concerns, strategized the best options, and together we formulated a plan of attack. But what was really great was that he kept checking in with us along the way, confirming he should continue. Real talk: it's expensive AF ($700 per hour). But they get the job done. Advice (and this is on their website too): work preventative measures as much as you can so you don't have to donate a kidney for their services. (I now "rake" my roof every time it snows... which is so. annoying. but it keeps the Ice Dam Man... Guys... away) If you're in need of their services they are the real deal. Just be aware that you'll pay (literally)...
