In June of 2022 we decided to remodel our kitchen and main living area in our townhome. We…read morecontacted three different companies/contractors. Our project was multi-faceted, with some unusual requests. Of course we had the normal "update the cabinets" piece (Re-door, paint) , but we also had a large solid maple built-in outdated entertainment wall that we wanted modified and painted, plus a two-tiered island we wanted made into one-tier.. We also wanted to add several cabinets to extend from the kitchen into the dining space along the wall. We received the three bids and Kitchen Tune-up of Eden Prairie was the one that most impressed us. Not only was their price very reasonable, but they were incredibly helpful and flexible. There wasn't any request we had that they couldn't fulfill. Angela and Annette (one of the owners) came for the initial consultation. They offered ideas, listened to ours, and made some preliminary measurements and gave us their tile and countertop suppliers' information. A few days later, they sent us their quote and it was very reasonable and included everything we wanted! A few days later, Angela and Annette came to do the measurements. While here, they offered some advice on our initial decisions and we updated our design. While here, they asked us why we chose them. Our response? Their flexibility, ability to accommodate our varied requests, the fact that the owner found us important enough to come, the energy they brought to the job, and their personalized attention to us. We felt from the first meeting that we were more than just another customer. Our remodel began on Labor Day, 2022! Over the next few weeks, Annette, Tim and their team worked tirelessly to transform our 1999 space into a beautiful, updated NEW SPACE! We LOVE IT! They put in long days and even weekends to do it all right. When faced with an unforeseen issue, they solved it and everything came out even better than we had hoped. Hired Schroeder's Drywall to do a simple ceiling repair and was impressed in the job they did…read more My bathroom on the main floor is directly above the bathroom in the basement so when a shutoff valve started to leak and I didn't catch it the ceiling below was the unfortunate receipient of water damage! A slow drip (about one drip every 15 seconds) over the course of a few month just soaked the ceiling below. I was to the saturation point where the water dripped out of the vent fan so I had no choice but to call in the professionals to make the repair after I have to cut a hole in the ceiling to fix the problem and dry out the ceiling. Schroeder's Drywall was great from the minute I called them. They were not able to make it out for two days to give me an estimate but he did talk to me about what I needed to do to dry out the ceiling so he could complete the repairs the week after. This was a great help because he gave me good advice. Once he was able to make it out to give me a free quote he was upfront, let me know what to expect if I hired him and how long it would take. The job would include patching the spot, floating the entire ceiling and doing the knock down texturing not he whole bathroom ceiling so it looked like new and matched. Quote: $425 for the ceiling repair. While he was here I also asked him to quote the taping and muddying of two walls in my three car garage. I only wanted the first 6 feet tapped and muddled because they have 12 foot ceilings. I was told it would be just as easy and no extra cost to have him tape and mud the entire two walls vs. just the lower 6 feet. Cost on this was $375. So for $800 I had both thing completed and they did it in three days!!! Professional work that is grade 1 seamless!!!! Great communication and very recommendable to anyone looking at Sheetrock or drywall work.

Not only was Nick timely, charming, and attractive, but his team showed a level of professionalism I didn't expect to see from a "drywall crew". I've had painters and other contractors in before and they've typically been OK with going in and out of my residence without regard for the dirt they're brining in, have had a tendency to leave trash around, and the bathroom a complete mess. NOT the case with this crew. I think they actually left the place in better shape than when they arrived. I got a quote from Schroder Drywall for about a ~600 sq ft. job in my basement and he came in well under in time and cost compared to three other well reviewed contractors. I was a little hesitant based on the quoted price, but he assured me of the quality by providing references. They were all more than pleased with the work that was done. If you need any drywall work (or a BF - I hear this stud is single), I strongly consider giving Schroder Drywall a call.

All of the roofing companies were quite busy due to recent storm damage. Some didn't return calls, and we even had a couple no-show on scheduled estimates. Matt K, in contrast, was extremely responsive and reliable. We left a message on a weekend, and he called back that same weekend, and scheduled a time for an estimate within a few days. He came for the estimate at the appointed time, and promptly emailed us a detailed, thorough, and competitive bid. He then answered all of our questions thoroughly and knowledgeably about the proposed work and process. Matt was easy to talk with, explained about roofing in terms that we could readily understand, did not up-sell, and provided honest evaluations and recommendations from his decades of roofing experience. Shortly after that, while we were still evaluating our options, we had a leak concern. In response, Matt was able to juggle schedules to fit our replacement in quickly. His crew (led by Brendan), was efficient and careful, and were able to complete the tear-off and replacement in a day, even though winds reached up to 20 mph some of the time. They also left our property neat and tidy. Someone who saw them work told me that he would without reservation "heavily suggest using them again!!!" (His three exclamation marks, not mine).
