We were at a crossroads and not sure if we should move or remodel. Our family loved our house and location and thanks to Gary and Kelley at Knight Construction we were able to stay. First we had to get a plan, and they were very helpful with ideas of what would and wouldn't work with our home. Who knew a kitchen could transform the entire feeling of a house. We could not be happier with the results. The staff was so friendly and nice to work and they did such a beautiful job. Attention to detail and quality is something that is hard to come by these days and it was very refreshing to work with such a dedicated company who stands behind their word. Thank you Kelley and Gary for a job well done! Sincerely, The Bjork family

We hired Knight Construction this past summer to complete a total kitchen remodel project with…read morecustom cabinets, new hardwood fooring and the resurfacing an old brick fireplace with stone. We asked Knight if they could complete the work in just six short weeks as my family (my husband and three kids under the age of five) were moving into a small apartment for three months due to timing differences in our close dates. They accommodated the request with the caveat that the bulk of the work would be completed by move in and that finishing/warranty work may need to extend another week or two. Upon signing the contract, we immediately began working with Kristin, the designer, to ensure fixtures, flooring and other items were selected and available upon closing on the new home. The day after signing the close papers, the dumpster was delivered and Jeff our project manager began demolition with his crew. I won't tell you that the project was seemless in every instance and without a couple of minor glitches. But I can tell you that in ever instance, Gary and team worked with us immediately to either remedy the issue or help us find the best solution to accommodate our budget concerns and ensure our move in date wasn't jeopardized. Over the past 10 years, we have remodeled two homes and built a third. I have used three different Companies for each of these projects and I would without question hire Knight Construction back to do another project. Over the short few months we worked with Gary and his team, he always kept his word and remedied situations that weren't up to either his quality or ours, which were minimal. I appreicated the fact that three months after the project, I'm still able to call and ask him to look at something I think got missed in the warranty period. In both circumstances he's sent someone over within days to address my concern. I would recommend him to anyone. His work is quality and it's beautiful!

Capstone was fantastic to work with. I initially started the roofing project by collecting 10+…read morebids. I eventually narrowed those bids down to 3. From this point it really came down to attitude and it wasn't even a fair fight. Dave Mack had an amazing attitude and personality to boot. He was attentive to the details and went over everything with me multiple times, to make sure I was comfortable. Dave was also present on the job site to work with me through all of my questions - I'd like to think I'm pretty hands-on. For my house, we went with the architectural shingles with the weathered wood coloring. We replaced my roof caps with a crisp bronze color that makes everything pop. We replaced all of the metal pieces with the same bronze color, spray painted the old cast iron pipes and even gave my furnace exhaust a new top. There were only 3 vents that stayed black. This was by choice, as a few years of the weather elements would have left these chipping and would require more maintenance. Dave went over all of these design choices with me to formulate the best possible solution for my house - one that we would mutually agree upon. It's worth noting that the entire job took roughly 4-5 hours to complete. Regarding pricing, Capstone was not the cheapest, nor were they remotely close to the most expensive. You get what you pay for and in the end, I received excellent service, an efficient job and a beautiful looking roof/house. I believe I was given a fair price, great service and high quality workmanship to boot. In closing, I'm writing this review, not to simply recommend that you use Capstone, but that you give them a chance. If your bidding experience goes anything close to how mine went, I'm confident you'll pick Capstone. Not only that, but once the job is complete, you'll be proud of the work done. Thank you, Mike

Being this was my first time working through a claim for damage to my house I was very uncertain how to navigate these waters or what to expect. Working with Chris and Mike at Re New made the claim process a lot smoother than it could have gone. I was able to communicate with Chris via text or phone as needed while working on our claim with State Farm. I was offered advice on all of the questions I had which was extremely valuable. When the work began on our house the roof was completed in one day and the siding took approximately 5 days. The workers cleaned up after themselves and were no issue to my wife or kids. The completed work looks absolutely fantastic. I have had numerous neighbors come over and compliment that our house is now the nicest house on the street. How can you beat that?! High quality materials were used and I know they will last us many long years on our house keeping it secure and the value of our home as high as it can be. As a home owner you want your house fixed and fixed right....there are lots of companies that can do roofing and siding to varying degrees of success. But to also have the resources available to you in the scope of advice and guidance through the entire claim process with a huge insurance company, that is where I've learned the value of finding a good contractor comes into play and needs to be considered strongly. The quality of work and materials was just icing on the cake. A big thanks to Chris, Mike and the crew who worked on our house! I highly recommend Re New Construction for any work you need to be competed on your home.

She told me that they charged her $1500 for electric service connection which she later found out that $300 was what Excel charged Sussel. The subs Sussel uses must be getting shorted on pay for them to do such shoddy and incomplete work. Can't think of any other reason for them to not care about getting it done correctly. She said she has not been successful in getting them to fix anything and they sued her when she tried withholding the last payment. I really feel sorry for her getting taken by a company that really does shoddy work. I've read other reviews about Sussel and it really seems to be about which subs they use. My advice? Hire your own subs. Make sure everyone sticks to the blueprint.

I had remodeled the bathroom at our previous house, so I have a good handle on what is involved, but we were too busy to take it on ourselves. I solicited 5 or 6 bids and Mark's seemed the most professional but also the highest cost. I highlighted that this was our ONLY bathroom and speed was the utmost priority and that ideally I would like the project done in like weeks not months. Mark didn't express much concern over timeline. Now there were some materials shortages, and COVID and whatever, but it was just excuse after excuse, with sometimes no one showing up for a month at a time. And the strong impression was this project just wasn't organized or a priority. They didn't start for over 5 weeks, and when called on it, I was told that the timeline we discussed was for starting the project, not finishing it. I wish I had recorded our initial conversation, because it seemed he took crummy notes and then later reinterpreted them to suit his needs. Nearly 2 months into the project he expressed surprise this was our only bathroom and sort of sheepishly asked what we had been doing in the meantime (going to neighbors houses we are friends with). How that CORE piece of information I had stressed repeatedly during our first few meetings had slipped his mind, I have no idea. He the said he would hurry to finish. Then no one showed up for 3 straight weeks. We nearly fired him about three different times, including in mid JAN promising to have the shower done by Valentine's day (we hired him first week of OCT). Needless to say that deadline was totally missed by a month or more. Moreover key elements discussed during the planning stage were simply forgotten by him (tile wainscoting), and then when asked about them several months in he had to scramble. Early on in late OCT he had stressed the need for us to drop everything and go pick out tile so he could order it and have it there by mid NOV. Then MONTHS later when he was actually ready to install the tile (JAN), the project again had to go on hold because he had not ordered it yet... This is despite repeatedly asking him if he needed us to order tile, or front cash for materials to speed things along (not sure if he was having cashflow issues or what). Anyway, once the project was 95% done, they just had to install a glass divider (another element he had forgotten about). So that was another several weeks, then when they came to install it, they had cut it for the wrong side of the room, the side away from the shower...so more weeks to completion. By this point I couldn't even talk to him because I was so angry, but firing him when we were 98% seemed pointless. Anyway, I left it in my wife's hands, who he then took advantage of. Telling her he was giving us a "$1000 discount" for all the hassle, while charging her $300 more than the estimate and payment plan we had agreed on. This is despite us generally picking cheaper materials than were in his estimate and giving him wide latitude on specific choice just to try and speed things along. Hiring Mark was one of the 3-5 biggest mistakes I have made in my entire life. Worse than some car accidents I got into in my teens or that time I bought a super expensive bike right before we had a kid and I mostly stopped biking. The stress related to this has probably literally taken 6 months off of my life expectancy. I am serious.
