Our beautiful wedding cake they made
    Annie N.

I usually only shop at Publix and since we moved over here 3 years ago, it is the only one that I absolutely love. The staff is so friendly. They always remember us in the deli and ask how we are doing. You always see managers near the front and more times then not, they jump in and help. The produce is always full and looks inviting. If any associate even thinks you are looking for something, they stop to help. I really enjoy spending a little more money here then battling super target or walmart. The cashiers are very friendly and usually start a conversation with you. There is one or two that do not say much but it is not a big deal. They always offer to take your stuff to the car as well. I went to get a money order one time and no one knew how to change the paper. I had to wait about 10 minutes so they gave me a $10 gift card for having to wait. Its things that like, that I enjoy coming back here over and over again. They also make sub sandwich's and they are great. My favorite is the chicken tender sub with some buffalo sauce. One thing I noticed is that it is cheaper and more portions if you get the regular sub as opposed to a wrap. There is another Publix down the road that I could easily go to, but I don't like it quite as much. I will always shop at this Publix. Great staff, always full shelves and never too crowded. A Plus in my book. They made our wedding cake and it came out absolutely gorgeous. Our guests didn't even believe we had it made at Publix. It really looked like a super expensive wedding cake. And it tasted fantastic!

I love Publix. I really do. It's not only one of the best grocery chains in the country, but for me it's been a lifelong obsession. Amazing subs. Amazing deli. Great people. All of the above usually applies to my neighborhood Publix, but there is one thing that has disturbed me for the past couple years: they keep expired items on the shelves. This has happened to me about 7 or 8 times the past few years, ranging from years old expired soda, expired refrigerated Mac and cheese, expired frozen pizza and most recently, expired tarter sauce. So I'm writing this to warn you to please check the expiration dates on food that you buy here! I have repeatedly found expired items and complained/let the manager know, but obviously nothing is being done to fix their quality control.

They are a grocery store but the emphasis here is on convenience. From the cut up fruit, extensive prepared foods, large butcher counter, liquor, snacks and a huge cheese selection this store is the antithesis of Walmart. An interesting fact is that Cencosud, a Chilean retail giant, owns 67 percent of The Fresh Market. This store has lots of beautiful plants and flowers at the entrance but lately seems like everything is crammed together. There is rarely a wait to checkout because they have plenty of helpful employees. Fresh Market does offer daily loss leaders like the Tuesday chicken breast and ground beef sale but generally their prices are not as competitive. They sell limited grocery items but presently have 3 aisles of candy including bulk Jelly Belly products and Dubai chocolate bars. Do not shop here when hangry. In the past I was a big fan of their deli salads, specials and weekly family meals. Shop before 6 pm to get a good selection in the deli. The TFM Bakery is very popular for their quality and they often have a sale where if you buy a pound of deli chicken salad you get 4 large croissants free. Lately I go to Costco instead of TFM because I can find a larger variety of items, their prepared foods are priced competitively and food is available until closing.

I ended up having a little cheat day and enjoyed a delicious soft serve with fresh strawberries -- it was so good! I even decided to pick up some peanut butter while I was there. The store was very clean and well organized, which made shopping comfortable and enjoyable. This trip, though, there was absolutely no Disney involved -- and we finally stopped here on our way home Sunday morning. I feel like you know you're getting older when you get excited about grocery shopping. Normally when I go to Publix, I'm irritated before I even get inside. But this place? A completely different experience. Walking through and seeing all the locally grown vegetables and the meat selection -- clearly labeled as hormone-free and without all the extra junk you get at typical grocery stores -- was honestly mind-blowing. The prices were so reasonable I couldn't believe it. I purposely brought a cooler for the two-hour drive home, and even with everything I bought, I didn't spend over $100. If I had purchased the same items at Publix, I'm convinced I would've been close to (or over) $200. Beyond the prices, the quality and overall vibe made it so enjoyable. You're not breaking the bank feeding your family, and you feel good knowing you're getting better-quality food. The staff was incredibly sweet and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. I was looking for boneless chicken, and one of the employees asked if that's what I needed. A few minutes later, he came back with multiple packs in his hands to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and I really appreciated it. One thing to know: the produce and meat sections are in two separate, unconnected rooms, so you check out separately in each. And if you're still riding that high from all the money you saved, there's soft-serve ice cream outside with seating -- which just makes the experience even better. For someone who truly despises grocery shopping, this was actually fun. I will absolutely make a special trip to Orlando just to come back here -- and next time, I'm bringing a bigger cooler.

Pros - I was first attracted by Sprouts produce. It is fresh and diverse. It's a star so they put in back so you have to walk through the store. They put some of the produce in a cooler at night to keep it fresh. Some stores leave it out on tables but sprouts puts it in crates and wheels it back to the cooler. I like this attention to detail. Manager Specials. They have these all over the store including meat, dairy, produce and prepared food. It's like a treasure hunt. Sometimes it is close to the date other times who knows what the manager was thinking. Mark down meat and prepared food will have a yellow tag showing the before and current price. Specialty drinks - Coffees, teas and canned beverages. Plus no alcohol cocktails. In the coffee section they have grinders, so you can buy whole bean and grind it yourself in the automatic machines. They also have a beer and wine section. Clearance by the bathrooms and also markdown bakery near the case where you select your own pastries. They have a lot of vegan and gluten free items that are made fresh. They sometimes have bakery items to match the monthly sale. June was cherry month and all kinds of cherry related products. Samples. It is not a Costco situation where people are pushing and shoving. Just little sampling displays plus at peak times there is a small tiki bar has featured items and samples. They also have some cups by the checkouts. Friendly staff. They have people on the floor stocking and cashiers. They honestly listen and try to solve your question or problem. They have the same staff so it seems they try to retain their staff. They know me! Haha They have good sales, digital coupons and sometimes coupons will print on your receipt. In June 25 I got a paper coupon for $5 off $15 of produce and it even applied to sale items. Pro tip. I go in once a week and clip all the digital coupons even if I am not going to use it right away. Occasionally they have a digital that nets to a free item. You can also hook your Sprouts account to Ibotta by your telephone number at checkout. Then you don't have to scan the receipt. The two systems work together for automatic credit if you have the item rebates checked in Ibotta. They carry a lot of health items but have better prices than WFM. They carry organic and supplements as well as many items to meet your dietary needs. I found some holistic plant based cream when I had a rash on my eye that worked like a charm. It's BYOB. Bring your own bags!!!! They sell recyclable ones or will sell you a plastic one for 10 cents. Not that they are encouraging that but the 10 cent plastic bags are sturdy and can also be reused.
