Ordered a very large order online from deli and bakery. Ordered on Tuesday. On Thursday I needed to change the pickup from sat to Sunday. Now today is Thursday. I am not allowed to change my pick up day until Sunday one day farther out because it unconvinced the workers... Person I spoke too very rude would not work with me even though I have spent over $250 on this order and hung up on me. Next time I will take my business elsewhere. If I could cancel this order and get it somewhere else I would... I just don't have time for such rudeness and nonsense!! Do your self a favor order party food elsewhere not this Publix.! Walking into this Publix, I found a sign asking me to take a shopping basket for my convenience, but no actual baskets, which was kind of inconvenient. The baskets had not been replenished by the time I left; only a couple of people had them walking around the store so I don't know where they were. Likewise, it was oddly hard to find a produce bag, and indeed oddly hard to find any produce at all as it was a modestly sized section hidden at the back (instead of being the first thing you see when you walk in, as it ought to be. I found some nice sale items, but the labeling was also confusing, purposefully so I take it as a lot of extra tags indicating trivial details made items look like they were on sale when they weren't. Having said all this, the selection was average, and it is the closest grocery store to downtown Augusta, but there were just so many customer experience issues. **This REVIEW IS ONLY FOR THE DELI DEPARTMENT. ** I wanted to say I was disappointed in their service. The deli sandwiches were fine, depending on the type of service you get. On two separate occasions. I am writing on the last occasion for a Christmas party order.I called in advance to place an order which is roughly about 8 full subs cut into a platter style so I can bring it into the party. I called ahead for two reasons: 1 - everyone favorite bread is the multi-grain, so the bakery can bake it ahead of my order to have enough for their customer 2 - Give the deli department no excuses on rushing the order and have it ready for pickup 3 - To avoid a bottleneck of other people coming to the store during the COVID times, which I noticed customers were not keeping 6 feet apart I called FOUR days ahead of my pickup date. I had the deli worker repeat the order back to me and leaving my phone number. I ended coming to the day of pick-up and not finding my order ready. The available bread had ran out and the roast beef was unavailable and only Boar Head deli meat was the only selection. Since I could not go to the Christmas party empty handed. I had to take whatever sandwiches they could make and the deli department did not even merge the tomatoes, lettuce, etc onto the sandwich. Basically I got was deli meat between slides of bread. After going home and assembling the sandwiches myself to make them more presentable. People at the party complemented me on how delicious the sandwiches tasted. read more

To get a cake I usually make it myself or go to a professional bakery. I didn't feel like spending that much time or money this year and my daughter didn't want anything big, so I went to Publix. I placed this order 3 days in advance on their website. The day came so I went to go pick it up. The name in icing was spelt wrong so I asked them to fix it. (no big deal) When they fixed the new letters placed were butchered but I needed to be somewhere so I guess that's on me. So when my daughter cuts the cake it's vanilla, not the chocolate I ordered. The icing was not buttercream also. Can't get good help anymore. read more

We've never had any issues with Publics Subs. If they has 0 rating I would have given them that instead of a 1!But after tonight we will never order from them again. I mean how hard is it to make a sub and not have an attitude while throwing food all over the place. Not including her bad attitude!! Yelling at Customers & co-workers. I ordered a steak & cheese with No peppers, No Onions! I asked for cucumbers but got none. My son ( who's here from out of town) ordered a steak & cheese with peppers & onions, mushrooms, & oil & vinegar, mushrooms. He received a steak and cheese with with peppers & onions, no mushrooms, & no Mayo. Both subs we're not supposed to be toasted and they were toasted. The last bit is when the was made online, we were it'd be ready at 8. At 8:25 they did not have are order ready!! So needless to say we're pissed about them not being ready but bringing it home the wrong subs!! read more

My boyfriend and I went in to get a pub sub and Cari was the one making our sandwiches. She had a horrible attitude from the start and it stayed the entire time. She was so nasty to us. She also had her mouth open the whole time I was just waiting for some drool to drop onto our food. I politely told her what I wanted and her responses were in the tone as if I was bothering her. Once mine was done she turned as if she was going to walk away which I'm not sure why when the line was long. My boyfriend was standing there and she turned and said with an attitude of course "you want one too?" He said yes and she threw her hands up in the air and rolled her eyes and said "I just asked if you wanted one." She didn't. She made it with an attitude and we walked away. It's not very hard to be nice or even fake it. We won't be back if we see her there that's for sure. read more

This message is in regards to a deli pickup order I placed earlier today 12/20/2024. The deli worker Tye (older woman with freckles) was working on a wrap I placed in person. While I was in line, a few coworkers asked me to pick up their mobile orders for lunch. There was a salad and two sandwiches. I asked Tye how long it would take to make the sandwiches, so I would know how long I had to shop. She replied "I don't see the orders". I walked off to do some shopping. I returned 5 minutes later and she said "as soon as you walked away the orders showed up". She made the salad and the sandwich and handed them to me. I inquired about the third sandwich and she became upset. She started helping the person behind me in line and said "they just placed those mobile orders so I don't have to make them until 11:35". There was one sandwich left to make and the other two were already made (one of them being a hot sandwich). This was incredibly rude. Eventually, Brian made the sandwich, since Tye refused to do so. Tye needs training on customer service and time management. I would like to commend Brian. read more

So Publix was not the norm for me as a kid. Living downtown Augusta i did Kroger on 15th street .It has became my go to store. They are usually stocked with everything I need plus more. The deli can take a bit longer than expected but it's worth it every trip! My last trip got funky when a store worker through my sons car seat out that's was sitting in the front of the store. This mama is 4"11 and can't carry it around. Larry the store manager made sure to make me aware that the actions that took place were unacceptable and they would be sure to fix it. Larry personally dropped my sons new car seat to my house. The manager that night was going to have his wife bring one from home. This Publix is more than a grocery store. I frequented this store a lot during the early 2000's when I was in cosmetology school up the street. I mostly stopped in for a sub at the deli. They were really delicious and I was addicted to them. Eventually, they changed the formula of the sub and it wasn't as tasty as it was so I stop eating here. Fast forward a few months ago I decide to stop in again and see what the subs were like again and I was surprised that they went back to their old formula, they were back delicious. Now I stop by at least 3 times or more a month for a sub. They are affordable too, no more than $8 for a whole sub and most times they are having a sale on whole subs for $4.99. The employees work really fast to get you in and out the door. They are very friendly as well. Sometimes they are swamped with customers which is usually around lunchtime, but the employees handle the line swiftly. I haven't been to any other sub stop in town lately but this one. They have other delicious items at the deli such as chicken and chicken tenders, which are great as well. I'm normally focused on the subs though. I can always counted on a great sub anytime I stop in to get one no matter which employee is making it. read more

I shop here every week and sometimes multiple times a week, but the sub station at this Publix is horrendous. The people are absolutely terrible and extremely slow. They have no sense of urgency and it is always a painful situation getting a sub. If it weren't for the buff chicken sandwich, I'd never go. We went tonight and someone in front of us was on the phone ordering for what seemed to be her entire family. The employee allowed this woman to pause for four minutes while she waited for her family member to decide what they wanted. We had ONE sub order and this woman was ordering SEVEN. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE JUST TAKE OUR ORDER SO WE CAN LEAVE. but no. We waited for 22 minutes and we never got a sub. And three other employees sat there. Doing nothing. While this one single employee had to make all of these subs. It's like this every time. And bless the employees heart but it takes her about 8 solid minutes to make a dang sandwich. I love everything about North Augusta Publix except the Deli. The clerks are not friendly and there aren't enough of them. It looks like all of them stay in the back area to avoid help people wanting sliced meats and cheeses. I get upset every time I have to buy something there and usually end up in packaged meats. read more

I would give this Publix location 4/5 start (obviously). There was nothing particularly special about it, but at the same time, it was the same relatively clean, nice grocery store that I expected to walk into. I was never greeted or spoken to by any staff in the store, but I also was not seeking out assistance, either, so not a big deal for me. Plus I was on the phone (via headphones) anyway. I found what I was looking for and I called it a day. One thing I didn't find ANYWHERE in this store was chicken wings (which is oddly the main thing I came in for). But whatever, nonetheless, the store is decent, and I found what I was looking for minus one. read more

Went to pharmacy to pickup perceptions. Young guy tells me they are still working on one and will be 5-10 more mins and would I like to wait. I said "sure ill be standing right over here" and point to a location 15' away maybe. Im looking at Facebook text someone right away that was waiting on me to cook dinner that im going to be late. Well 2 people come through and one has to wait then he calls her which she was a young pretty lady that he was crushing on. She gets her meds leaves. So 2 other people get come through the line get meds. But the guy never calls me. And I'm in his direct line of site. Im so close to him that I can hear him talking to one of the customers about the price of the customers medicine. And the customer doesn't have the money. So finally one of the other folks in the back of the pharmacy ask me if they could help me because they seen me waiting for so long. I explained I was waiting and that the young guy said it would be 5-10 mins. Well when I told her mine name she said its right here. Its been ready. So I been waiting for 45mins and nobody told me a thing. They said I should have received a text that it was ready and they started to look and magically I received it has they was speaking to me. So they never sent me the text. I asked for the young man's name. The pharmacy person offered me $5 for 45 mins of my time waiting. I told her to give it to the old guy that his insurance was not paying the full price for his meds. I was to furious. The young guy never apologized. Ill be looking to take my business to Kroger. Thanks Publix your employees are all great but they should have never happened I the young guy should have apologized. read more

I always had a lot of trust and admiration for the Publix operation until today. They have subcontracted their grocery deliveries to a company named Instacart. I ordered seven items to be delivered to a couple in North Augusta and they were delivered at the time requested, but only five of the seven items were delivered. The two missing items being the most expensive. Calling Publix customer service did not help at all. I thought they would feel somewhat responsible but they simply put all the fault on their sub-contractor Instacart. Instacart has not responded to my inquiries concerning the missing items, of course. read more

The store is kept neat and clean. It may be a little bit more expensive than some other stores.However, certain items like fruits, vegetables, and meats are a higher quality than the cheaper places. Love the Boar's Head meats and cheeses at the deli. Bakery is one the best around for fresh bread or desserts. Still nice that some place offers to take your groceries to your car and load them for you. read more

I've been to this store many times and had nothing ,but good experiences until today. The cashier was absolutely rude she was an older black lady and I had fruit fall off into the floor. Just because I had my little baby boy and was going grocery shopping without my husband she said under her breathe "She works for a living" assuming I was on welfare. I am in the US Army and on maternity leave my husband is working. I never been on food stamps, welfare, and don't even have WIC. She didn't even try to help her coworker clean up the fruit that fell on the floor that she caused but blamed me for it. She rang me up and I was waiting on the other lady to get me another fruit and she wouldn't even wait and was rushing me. I will definitely avoid going to that particular cashier or avoid going to the store entirely and shop for meat and fruit at another store. I won't say her name ,but maybe she should find another job that doesn't involve customer service because one bad apple ruins the bunch.
