Little Giant Farmers Market is a small Georgia based chain with five locations around the state,…read moretwo of which happen to be in Newnan. This particular store is located on the corner of Jackson Street and Millard Farmer, also known as "on the bypass" for those from Newnan. While it the anchor of the small shopping center there are a few other things next to it including a Chinese spot, nail salon and hair stylist. Parking is plentiful and never an issue due to the large dedicated parking lot. I will say that "Farmers Market" leads you to believe that his place is going to have plethora of fresh fruits, veggies and meats. However, that is not the case. Little Giant is basically an off-brand super market with a smaller selection of most items, including fruits, veggies and meats. I will say that they do run decent specials on their meats, especially the ground meat. Prices are somewhat competitive, but not extraordinarily discounted on any given item. They do have a section of $1.00 priced items that always include good things such as condiments, tuna, snacks, etc... Service has always been decent here. Never had any issues with the floor associates or cashiers. Overall, the locations of the two stores in Newnan are pretty convenient to my parents and that is the main reason I swing in here on occasion. If I am being honest, if I had the choice I would scoot up the road to Kroger for my big shopping trips, but LG is a decent choice in those moments where you need a few items.

You can always go to self-checkout, where the bags are often out, and the scanner is dirty, making it hard to scan your items. Shelves are typically empty, and the floors just look a little dingier than normal. I'm not sure whether it's the store's location or its regular customers, but I firmly believe that every shopper deserves an excellent experience, no matter their economic background or neighborhood. Generally, when you go to the store, the staff are on their phones. They disregard you, are not attentive, and do not even look at you. They need serious intervention at this location. I would say the residents who frequently shop here deserve so much more, and I look forward to seeing changes implemented.

This downsized location allows the store to offer cost + 10% on all goods. I have been most impressed by the taste, quality and price of their Shur-Fine brand. Their Value-Time coffee is the best I have tasted, as far as plain coffee is concerned-- I have even given it as gifts, and they ask for more. The meat, poultry and fish are second-to-none, and reasonably priced. The store is neat and clean all the time, and the cashiers are extremely friendly, professional, and efficient. Frankly, I am surprised that this quality of pricing, cleanliness, efficiency and professionalism comes from a discount grocery store at this location. Their pricing beats WalMart. Their wine selection is just that--a Selection!! They have an astounding repertoire of wines and prices to match; come here first for your wine needs--you won't be disappointed; frankly--you cannot miss. I have tried staples of all kinds from this store with not a single fail--their goods are spot-on for quality, price--and taste. I have shopped exclusively at this store for well over a year, and, incredibly, I find few flaws. I have an extensive background in retail sales, including groceries--very little is amiss here. Be lucky and smart--come shop here! :)
