I would like to say that the shoppers of this location deserve better. The store is not well-kept. You can always go to self-checkout, where the bags are often out, and the scanner is dirty, making it hard to scan your items. Shelves are typically empty, and the floors just look a little dingier than normal. I'm not sure whether it's the store's location or its regular customers, but I firmly believe that every shopper deserves an excellent experience, no matter their economic background or neighborhood. Generally, when you go to the store, the staff are on their phones. They disregard you, are not attentive, and do not even look at you. They need serious intervention at this location. I would say the residents who frequently shop here deserve so much more, and I look forward to seeing changes implemented. read more

I didn't go in the grocery store, but came time get some gas. The gas is $2.65 unleaded, $2.95, mid grade, $3.25, premium and $3.14 diesel. I use premium unleaded for my car, so $3.25 isn't that bad. I get 3 cents off as well. The employee at the window was nice and I was able to get gas really fast. I'll definitely be back soon, At this location. read more

Being from Newnan, this is the OG Kroger and the location that started my love affair with the grocery store. This Kroger is located in between downtown Newnan and Ashley Park (New Newnan) and sits in the shopping center that used to hold KMart, Hastings and a variety local spots, but now houses Roses, Aaron's and Ollie's. While I love this Kroger, I will say that it is in need of some updates and a good facelift. Everything in this location is about original and you can tell. The staff does a decent job of keeping it clean, but at this point, it's putting lipstick on a pig. While it is smaller than most newer locations, I don't have any issues finding what I am after. Service is hit and miss, just like most retail spots today. They always have a few actual lines open in addition to self check-out, so waits are never too long. In addition to the store, the pharmacy is excellent. My parents have used the pharmacy for decades, and all the team are beyond nice, on first name basis with them and are beyond helpful. I appreciate the pharmacy team a lot for taking care of my parents all these years! Overall, this Kroger holds a special place in my grocery store heart. Can it be improved? Yeah. But is it a terrible spot? Absolutely not! read more

You sell rotten meat! Why? I just bought two flat iron steaks with a sale by date of the 25th. I opened the vacuum sealed pack and it wreaked! I'm so pissed off. The beer cooler is set to over 50 degrees Fahrenheit. I didn't check the meat cooler. But my 12 pack cardboard was soggy. Please close this Kroger down it has severely gone down hill since Covid started. The people that work there look fresh out of prison and the self checkout lane backs up all the way to the end of the seasonal candy isle. Do better or just call yourself the kroghetto. read more

Worst Kroger in the county if not the state. Employees have NO work ethic and go out of their way to avoid assisting customers. Tonight my husband and I filled a cart full of snacks and drinks for the high school swim team we coach. 5 employees were standing at 1 register and refused to check us out and directed us to self checkout. After the third time we had to stop scanning for some error. We left the two carts for them to put back and told them we were going to Publix. We should have gone there from the start. Downtown Newnan deserves better than the likes of that awful store. AVOID IT IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!!! read more

I like Kroger as well as any other Super Market, HOWEVER, their prices r far 2 high (much like Publix)! I just think that if ur gonna charge more than u shld, ur fruits & veggies shld b fresher & btr displayed. Also, find out wut ur customers want & place it n ur store... just a thought read more

This Kroger was the nastiest store I have ever been to. All the vegetables were old and starting to rot. The family packs of steaks were brown. The self check out scanner was not working correctly. So... I do not recommend anyone to shop in Newnan. Specifically fruits and veggies. This is not the first time I have gotten rotten or punctured food, but it is always immediately the day after I have noticed that I can not eat it because it is either rotten or bad from purchase. If you have other areas, I would recommend them to other people. It seems like since CO-VID 19, this area has not been doing so great. read more

Pharmacy department is awful. Takes two days to get an ongoing prescription filled. I would not mind that so much but the staff is indifferent to a customer's presence. I am going to transfer to Publix and hope for better. Why is the pharmacy so ineffective and indifferent when my monthly bill there is significant? I was visiting from out of town and was looking for a few items, including bulk bin items due to a small amount needed. It was on Sunday at 7pm. I could not decide between this store or another named store nearby. After conversation about prices and needs, my family member and I decided to pop in here. The bulk item area was a complete mess. No bags, no pens so there was no way to even purchase anything. Another huge disappointment was many items and areas were empty, completely wiped out. Choices were very limited. We went to the deli to get some meats and cheeses. The guy working was not friendly and was very slow. As we were waiting I overheard a lady customer ask if he minded her taking a broken cookie from the kids FREE cookies because her blood sugar was low. Mind you, we both had been waiting to be helped for quite some time without acknowledgement and the KIDS cookies were broken in many pieces. He rolled his eyes, huffed and said I guess so. I gave my little one 2 cookies after we received our items!! 2 stars for our checkout experience and the young man who was stocking items and using the door near produce. He stopped and asked if we needed help and made my little ones shopping experience fun because she kept wanting his attention. He was able to do his job and make her smile at the same time. This is not a store I will shop in again and I do not have Kroger will I live so I will keep this experience in mind whenever I see Kroger. read more

So I don't know how many of y'all go to the old Kroger gas station but I am here to tell you the cashier Jeff that works up there is just absolutely horrible he has the biggest attitude I've talked to a few other women and they've had similar problems with him from the tone of his voice to his attitude to rolling his eyes my fiance and other guys have had no problems he cards me everytime and I'm there and I go everyday but the few times I've sent my fiance up there he hasn't been carded not even once plus there is absolutely no reason no reason at all as a cashier to call my cigarettes cancer sticks I know they're not good for me but that is my buissness its my money not his I talked with a kroger manager tonight but I don't feel like he even listened to me other people have complained and he's still there all the time I don't know if they just dont care or they just dont see it but I'm here to tell you no one like him needs to be working customer service especially being the front face of the company sorry for the rant don't know where else to go with it (I copy and pasted my post in chatty newnan women to here i feel like more people should be aware i will be calling cooperate in the morning) read more

Shop here for convenience; so, although the store is small, I cannot complain. If you are looking for everything and every brand, this is not the store; but you will find almost everything. I drive pass this one to go to the Kroger off Lower Fayetteville. The selection is not that great. Some products will have dust on them or covered in ice in the freezer. I've seen ice cream in there that looks like its been in there for years. The IQ of their average customer seems really low. So if you like checking out jail house tattoos this is your place. On the other hand if I need to just run in & grab something quick and I have not taken a shower that day this place is perfect. I fit right in! read more

The problems at this store start at the top. Management is rude and apathetic. I heard the manager tell the lady in front of me "Do you see this cash register?? It does not make mistakes! The price in the register is never wrong." Really? The information in the register is only as good as the people who enter it in. Garbage in - Garbage out. The store is usually dirty. The employees are unhappy and I have heard them complain about not getting breaks etc while I am trying to check out. I usually just go to Publix. I pay more but the people are nicer and the store is clean. I don't have to do the math in my head to make sure I have bought enough items to get the discount. And, with the BOGO's I can buy just one and get it for half price. I always shopped at Kroger but no more. I agree with the other reviewer - they should just start over at the Newnan location. The Kroger on Lower Fayetteville is very nice but too far for me to drive. read more
