This Walmart was once the epicenter of all shopping in Newnan and while nearby Ashley Park has taken that title, this Walmart still holds strong and stays busy! I have seen this Walmart being built and now have seen many iterations over the past 30 years. This is definitely a Supercenter that features all the standard areas and goods you are accustomed to at Walmart, just on a bigger scale. To go along with the store size, the parking lot is massive as well. They recently added a whole row of pickup spots, which I get is a sign of the times, but it took away a prime parking spot row. Even though the lot is big, it gets full, so driving around looking for a spot in the usual. Service here is hit or miss. I've had awful service and mediocre service, never excellent. Most of the cashiers are nice, but I wouldn't call them friendly. They are there to scan your items, take your payment and get to the next one. I respect it. Overall, this Walmart is a bit much and I normally try to avoid it when I come into town. The lot is always a mess, registers other than self check are rarely open, service on the floor to scarce and it's just chaotic. However, all the items I am after are usually well stocked, so I'll give them that. read more

This is an ok Walmart Supercenter. It was very crowded when I visited, and always seems to be when I drive by. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, there were signs outside saying that all employees were require to wear masks and customers are recommended to wear them. This only seems to be partly true. Technically, the workers were wearing masks but all wrong. Some wore them around their neck, on their chin, over mouth and not nose, etc. sounds like if they require their unintelligent employees to wear masks, they need to teach the how to wear them. Who knew? The employees here were very friendly, though, and assisted me in finding products I couldn't find originally. I recommend this Walmart, it just may not be the safest place to visit amidst the coronavirus. read more

Awful experience with automotive. After paying $650 for a set of tires made an install appointment. 7am on time for install and was informed at 7:30 that their lift wouldnt lift my F350 ford. Curb weight approximately 5500 lbs. Cock and bull story from Maurice who gave made up stories about previous lift failure and then new story about new lift with reduced capacity. Lead tech seen standing in obscure aisle position engrossed in phone. They just didn't want to have to go to work that early? Sorry employees. Liars! they didn't even move my truck into the shop. Outrageous service at this Walmart! I tried to put in a grocery pickup order and my order was immediately cancelled with zero explanation. I tried a different web browser and went to reorder but it would only pull in half of my attempted prior order. When I called the store and hit the menu option for the pickup/delivery area, the phone rang and rang with no answer. I tried calling the customer service area, same story - no one answered. I waited a while and then tried again. This time someone answered and transferred me to customer service. When I started to explain the problem, the "customer service" agent put me back on hold without saying anything and then hung up. I tried calling the pickup/delivery area again but the man who answered told me I had reached the fitting room area. He transferred me back to customer service, who - surprise surprise - didn't answer the phone. Absolutely abysmal treatment. read more

Curbside PU is a joke. I placed a curbside PU order early in the morning received a notification that it was going to be delayed. No big deal. Received another notification that the order was ready so I'll stop by on the way home. When I pulled it up on the app it said the order had already been delivered so I went inside spoke to NO customer service and was informed that I need to go back outside and call the number and report what spot I was in. Didn't think that was right and sure enough it wasn't. It turns out they gave my stuff to someone else so I had to go back inside manually load everything up in a cart and then deliver it to my vehicle. SMH! read more

Thank you to AMY and VICKY at Customer Service ! My phone was lost there and we couldn't find it. I was devastated because my daughter was on her way to Sri Lanka, her first international flight, and I needed desperately to be able to talk to her before she boarded the plane. I had, in fact, just left her at the airport because they wouldn't let me go all the way to her plane because of COVID. So the call was extremely important. I was in tears. The other women told me that the phone at Customer Service isn't working so AMY pulled HER OWN PHONE out and dialed my daughter's number. She said "I am going to make sure you get to say good bye to your daughter." My daughter and I were both in tears. Then, about two hours later, Vicky notified us that my phone had been returned! She held it for me til I could get back to Newnan from Pine Mountain. Excellent customer service! read more

I've been going to the dentist here about 8 weeks. I've had 5 teeth pulled in this time span, with NO pain medicine. I've had to go days in agonizing pain just to hear that it's my fault, some kind of way. I had a wisdom tooth pulled recently, with NO pain medicine. Thankfully, someone close to me was able to share a couple of things for pain. I was up all night the day they pulled my wisdom tooth in pure hell from the pain. I ended up leaving a glowing review after my first extraction because it was right after I left. The novacaine was fast acting and I was in a lot of pain before I got home. The people are amazing. They're very nice and I do believe they care. They just don't care if you suffer. read more

I will say right off of the bat that I am NOT a fan of Walmart. I find this Walmart and others to be an IQ dropping, soul sucking, time consuming vortex that takes time away from my life that I can never get back. I ONLY go into this Walmart (which is 5 minutes from my house) if their is no other option. Even your "low prices" will not draw me in. As for THIS Walmart, it's an older store. It always seems dark, unkept, and messy. I always have to search for stuff because the layout of the store just does not seem organized to me. There is ALWAYS a mass of people in here so it's hard to get around. The clientele is either non-English speaking, needs Redneck translators, or has the IQ of a brick which is frustrating to deal with especially when you need to get in an out quickly which rarely happens. As for the staff, I make it a point to never have to deal with them. Why, you ask? Because on the rare occasion that I have a question about where an item is or something about an item, they never have an answer. So why ask? I can research it myself. As for the registers, this is a pet peeve of mine. Why do you have 30 lanes of registers and only 5 open? You are a billion dollar a year company. You can afford to pay a few extra employees minimum wage to run a few more registers especially during peak times. As for the self-checkout aisle, it never moves fast because the clientele of Walmart gets too confused on how to use the "new fangled machines". Overall, I would tell you to avoid using this Walmart AND all others. What little savings you might get is not worth the frustration and time loss from walking into this soul sucking, IQ dropping, time consuming vortex. read more

I'm leaving a one-star review for this store even though I would like to give it no stars. It's getting very irritating that you have to check yourself out because they don't have people that want to be cashiers or don't want to put cashiers on I don't know which. But then you check yourself out you bag your groceries the person watches you do it, and then ask to check your receipt. Either put cashiers on or quit checking the receipts at the door for people that you watch bag their groceries. I go in there and spend an average of $100 and I really wish that there was another store in town that I could buy these items from unfortunately Walmart is the only place I can get some things. We stood in Electronics for 10 mins waiting for someone to help us, mine you there were 2 people in before us who were there for the purchase of a tv as well. Unfortunately none of us were able to get help, employees passed us ad if we were invisible. When I asked one of them if they could get someone to help us, she said ok, but never look up at me, while her face was buried in her phone. Needless to say, it took another 15 mins before someone showed up. At this time I was the only one left to purchase a tv, but decided not to at this Walmart. Purchased rubber mulch for curbside pickup. Bought bags that offered 20% bonus. Attendant brought no bonus bags. He told me I would have to bring the bags to customer service to get refund. Got young manager involved who did everything he could to help but there were no more bags of any kind. Had oil changed today and the garage guys made almost every mistake possible. Used wrong oil, wrong filter, and deflated my tires to wrong pressure. If I had not watched the entire process I would have driven off with cheap oil & filter on under inflated tires. I ordered a large grocery order and set the pickup time for 5-6 pm for pickup. My app never received an update so I figured that my order was going to be on time. Got to Walmart and parked and called in to the number on the pole to pickup groceries and was greeted on the phone by someone who just answers "Yeah". Told him why we were there and he clearly has a work etiquette of a jolly rancher with a mouth full of marbles. Terrible service and the guy just says he will work it out after trying to explain to him we were in parking space #7 about 5 times. While waiting we watched other walmart grocery people wondering the parking lot with some poor souls groceries in tow only to just return back inside the building with the groceries. After waiting about 30 min more we received a notice on the app that our order is delayed now. We called back and the same jolly rancher answered the phone and we asked for a manager which was useless "they ain't here today" is the reply we got. So we tried to ask how long it would be before the order would be ready and he said "you can call in and cancel your order" WHY WOULD I GO THROUGH ALL THIS TROUBLE TO JUST CANCEL AN ORDER THAT I OBVIOUSLY NEED??? He finally said it could be like 2, 3, 4 more hours. And we "should" get an email when it is ready. I bought a set of Goodyear tires from this Walmart 2 years ago and two of them dry rotted. Walmart said this was a warranty issue so I contacted Goodyear who told me there was no warranty for dry rot- that was on the retailer for selling old tires. Walmart management will assume no liability for the tires they sold me so be cautious when buying tires from Walmart. read more
