a plate of food including biscuits, gravy, and soup

Omg. This is a hole in the wall in the best way. No fuss, a few tables, paper menus look like they've seen better days. This is part of how you know you're about to have an epic meal. I'm not going to lie, saw this place on Food Network and knew I had to bring my husband for breakfast. He got the Big Boy Platter with eggs scrambled and a fried pork chop as well as two biscuits and grits. I got two biscuits, sausage patties and smoked sausage. We both had water and coffee. The biscuits were light and fluffy served with packets of jelly. Service was polite but ask for everything you need when they come by. We grabbed a slice of red velvet cake to go. It was moist and delicious with just a bit of icing studded with pecans. All of this was $17.48. We couldn't each get a meal and coffee for the price at Waffle House. If you're open to an adventure and eating at the spot next to the gas station, do it ASAP. The crowds will line up soon I suspect. I'm already planning my return visit.

I have never tasted such delicious sausage! It's something you'll never forget! And home made too!!! I'm telling you this place is amazing!

I ordered for my wife and I the 16 piece baked chicken for lunch and dinner later. The pieces of chicken were very small. The breasts were an average size. However, the chicken was very dry, to the point of being almost inedible. My wife and I couldn't finish our breast pieces due to how dry they were. I tried a wing and it might as well have been dust. I decided to take the rest to our cabin to try and rescue something for dinner, but nothing could be saved. We were on a tight schedule so I did not bother asking for a refund. The area where you sit and eat was filthy. The window ledges had mold all over them, the trash was full, tiles were filthy, and tables hadn't been wiped. See photos. Our Ingles back home is spotless.

No matter if I need Shells to stuff with cooked snails or crab to Peanut Butter and oddities that sell like hotcakes, they have it. I don't remember how many years ago it was when the store sent me a survey asking what I wanted in an Ingles store. I asked for a Bank built inside the store, a 24/7 Drugstore a Donut Shop and Deli, and a Gestation.
