Publix is the Supermarket chain of Florida. Decided to make a visit to pick up some snacks and waters for our stay in Florida. Clean and well organized. Picked up a couple of chicken empanadas $3.38 for 2. Donuts, banana nut bread, chocolate chip cookies. Everything is yum! They also have a big scale as soon as you walk in which is great to step on to see start of weight but what will it be at end of trip? read more

This location is usually clean and the cashier wait time is minimal. I also like that they have self check out lanes. They have a large reasonably priced assortment of wine and the flower selection is amazing. The flowers open up really well and last at least a week. The produce and sushi are fresh. The cashiers are friendly and the baggers are always eager to help you bring your stuff out to your car. There's ample parking and employees constantly recovering shopping carts. They also have a helpful pharmacy in house. read more

This is my first visit to this Publix in the Pine Island Shopping Center. Enormous parking public parking lot with several other shops surround this Publix. Employees and managers greeted me upon entering and while shopping. I was very impressed with their florist section. The flowers appeared fresh and vibrant so I purchased a bouquet for my bride, which I do every week which range from $6.99 to $12.99. The BoGo deals are rampid at every turn. I was most interested in the Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauces and grabbed two bottles of my favorite flavors - Hickory Brown Sugar and Sweet 'n Spicy. The aisles are very neat and fully stocked and the store was clean. Will return to this Publix. read more

The Deli is the slowest in Florida, always a line. You are not sure if you are in Walmart or Publix.

Honestly never been disappointed in my local Publix, aside from the prices, but that's to be expected when you have to grocery shop! The parking lot is always easy to find spots in but the only thing that stinks is they only have one cart corral on the side lot, meaning you need to walk a bit of a distance after you put your groceries away. The location is very easy to navigate and I always find all the food and drinks that I am shopping for when I'm here. The staff that works at this location are some of the friendliest that I have come into contact with when it comes to Publix and it always makes me glad I choose this location to go to! The aisles are always well stocked and there is someone always stocking the shelves or cleaning and making them look presentable. I love finding new items to buy everytime I'm here because I like to try new products every so often! The prices are a little higher than other stores around but I'm laying for convenience! The deli workers as well as bakery workers are super friendly and I've never had a bad experience with orders I've placed here and that always brings me joy. I also love this location has a handful of self checkout counters so it's great if I need to be quick on the trip so I can scan my own items! read more

Some of us REALLY don't like self-check out and I REALLY don't appreciate the tactics to try and funnel me into it. I had a disappointing experience here today. Publix has become the leading name in the supermarket field here in the southeast. Once you experience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals, and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way, it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities where Publix opens a location are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. This particular location is convenient for the people of Davie, Florida and has a good vibe for a supermarket. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location for that matter and I give it five stars. read more

We wanted Publix subs for dinner tonight and when we went to the Deli this delightful woman named G made my hubby and my sub. Oh my goodness when she was making my hubby's chicken sub sandwich he and I both said "Wow" at the same time. She literally took her time making his sandwich like she was putting together a work of art. Next it was my turn for my corned beef sub.. once again I was truly impressed by the way she was creating (not making) my sandwich I was extremely impressed. I was like wow! We had Publix subs yesterday and they didn't look anything like this!! Well here's a picture of G making my corned beef sub. If you go to the Publix deli I suggest G make your sandwich. Yes. I was in a rush on my way to a party when i quickly stopped into the Publix to grab a vegan chocolate cake from the refrigerated section. Usually when I attend a party with my children, I'll bring them a pack of Oreos because Oreos are vegan and of course they have allergies. Now I found that Publix carries a refrigerated vegan chocolate cake. It's not huge but it's big enough for them and enough for them to share in case any other kids have allergies, which is what they usually do. Happy that there are more options for us and that the bakery staff members were able to assist us in locating this item. read more

The best thing about Publix besides a pretty good selection of products is the Buy One Get One Free (BOGO). I try to stock up on products I like because the savings are incredible. This location is an older store. I love to purchase the Vidalia Onion snack in produce but the shelves are so dirty. Someone needs to clean them. read more

Truly this Publix is "as good as it gets!" Close to the office, I have been going to the store for lunch nearly every day. The variety is so vast, that I can choose to have a good meal from their Deli, Bakery, Sushi or Produce section at a fraction of the cost. As far as the store, it's not busy on weekdays, but there are sufficient registers open to get you out quickly. The employees are what they've accustomed us to expect, and parking is ample. read more

I like that the store was not super busy at 8:00 pm. The cashier was super nice as well as the bag person. Parking is easy at this store. I cannot believe I have not visited here yet. I stopped here because I was looking for specific items I cannot find at my usual location. I also know someone who works at this location and he informed me his store is well stocked all the time. The store layout is different than I am used to so I had to take a moment to figure out how I wanted to maneuver my way around. I started in the dairy aisle, which is all the way to the right. I then browsed the deli section but not for long because it was super chaotic and busy at that time. I did find the spreadable Brie I have been looking for though! I continued walking the back of the store until I reached the produce section. This is the department my friend works at but I did not see him. This section appeared smaller than what I am used to but everything looked fresh and colorful. While I was picking up some fruits, I was greeted several times by different employees. I thought that was nice. I then heard an employee speaking to a customer informing her of something discontinued she inquired about. I liked that he made the effort. I made my way towards the registers since I was starving and did not need anything else. It was weird though-their clearance items were at the front, located between the entrance/exit doors so I went there first. Nothing caught my eye so I paid and left. The cashier was decent, again not bubbly like the ones I'm used to but not horrible. I did like this store and will be visiting in the future. read more

I am not a resident of Florida so I do not have much experience with Publix. The one near where I stay seemed to be your run of the mill super market. I soon learned that NOT ALL PUBLIX ARE CREATED EQUAL. We have traveled to a few places and I have experienced other Publix that I would consider mega stores. Much larger selections, wine departments, and more. I noticed the one on Pine Island does not have a very good cat food selection. I was scouting this out since I will eventually will be living near by. What I did notice was they have THE best fried Chicken. Not something I would usually have but my son picked it up on his last visit and it was tasty! Maybe will become a part of my list ocassionally. The place seemed clean and well managed by once I am a resident of the area I may scope out a bigger store. read more

I love this Publix!!! It's literally the best and most convenient one for me. I say this because it is located right next to the highway and right when you exit it's there. Every time I'm here, checkout is not a problem. Everyone has friendly service and they do a great job accommodating to everyone's need! It is also located right next to youfit! Convenient for a pre or post workout meal. Chicken tender subs go on sale often too!! It's my favorite sub. But all their subs aren't bad either. I never gave a whole lot of attention to which Publix stores are better than others except for the size of the two different stores we normally shop at, one on Griffen Rd. which is small but convenient and the Publix in Sheridan Plaza which is larger with much more variety. Quite honestly, I never have much patience for grocery shopping after 9:00 am because I always feel we should be doing other things on the weekend like being at the beach, the pool or just enjoying the great Florida weather on any given weekend. For the first time, I found a Publix store I was really impressed with that I actually enjoyed shopping in for several reasons. I am speaking in reference to the Publix in Pine Island Plaza in Davie. We just happened to be at this Plaza for breakfast with friends, and needed to get our grocery shopping done this weekend so we decided to come here and "get it over with". I always have judged grocery stores by the size, presentation and variety of the 4 main areas we always need to shop in: Produce, Fish, Meat and Bakery departments. The Publix in Pine Island Shopping center is big and clean and more importantly stocked up complete in all these departments as well as the grocery shelves. Having full stocked shelves is always makes it more enticing to shop. The Fish department is the department that gave me the incentive to write this review because I have never seen any Publix store with the size and variety of fish and shellfish as this one has. I love shellfish and they had a big display of Alaskan King Crab legs, shrimp, and a huge Lobster tank full with nice sized lobsters. The whole fish display was more than twice the size than the displays I have seen in the largest Publix stores I have shopped in. The variety of fish was more abundant and everything was so fresh looking. Made me WANT to buy, not because we had to. The Produce department was no different. When I see such a large presentation of Produce all faced up and watered to look fresh and shiny, it is so enjoyable to buy unpackaged fresh produce. All the fruit bins were full, above the top of the bin, the shelves of greens were so full, they were hanging over the edge,, love that. Check out the mounds of fresh tomatoes, avocados and onions. All set to make my fresh guacamole!!! The bakery was no different. The tables of fresh cakes and breads were not on top of each other, but spread out so there was so much room to shop and chose what you want without bumping into other shoppers. This is just a large roomy store with so little congestion. I was curious after seeing all these departments nicely displayed that I walked over to their Deli display and lo and behold, again, big, fresh and full as well as very organized. To the left of the Deli display was a huge refrigerated display of Sabra Hummus, so many varieties and flavors, fresh made tuna and potato salads and chopped liver as well as one side of salsas of different varieties. Lastly was their Meat department. Not as impressive and not the variety or size as I normally see in other stores, but well stocked and clean. I am not sure why this department was not as impressive as the others, but they had what we wanted and the chicken breasts were very fresh looking that we had purchased. This Publix finally gave me a reason to write a review for Publix. We all know they are not all the same, but this one really stood out. Being located in the Pine Island Plaza, there are many other reasons to come here. They have a nice Staples store, Nail Spa, and a great breakfast place we just went to for the first time, Kristof's Kafe, as well as a large amount of small retail business we need to go to from time to time. I no longer want to put off Publix shopping if we can get up early and come to the Pine Island Plaza Publix. It was large, roomy, not congested and impressively merchandised. read more

I stop at this Publix on a regular basis during the week around 3pm. Parking is always easy to find and there is usually minimal or no lines at the registers. Every register always greets me with a smile and engages me in conversation. The store is well kept. It is not a Publix with the extra offerings like Olive bar, sushi maker, etc. I recommend this Publix for the convenience and friendly service. There is parking lot out front. They have shopping cart carrels in the parking lot so you don't need to return your cart back to the entrance. read more

This is one of the many publix's around my place of residence. Being located right off of 595, it is the perfect place to stop at really quickly to pick up my groceries. They have a large parking lot which makes it easy to drive in and out. The staff are very friendly, and are always accommodating to my needs. Whenever I need something and have no clue where it is, at least 2-3 employees are running around with me to find my item! I love it haha. I have never had a problem with items running out, and the store itself is kept in great order and very clean. They have hot food you can take to go, a nice bakery, and also offer catering through the deli. Can't ever complain when I step in this publix in particular, but in general I love Publix, it truly is a great place where shopping is a pleasure read more

Publix has been a staple in my family for years. Yet this one definitely stands out above the rest. The sole reason is their outstanding customer service and staff. I'm a fanatic fan of the pub sub combo deal and two of my favorite people always hook it up. Monique the assistant manager and Clarens. Monique is so sweet, sassy, kind, and hillarious and I can always count on her to make me cry laughing & brighten my day. She calls me and my younger cousin her adopted kids haha and she never lets us leave without giving her a hug and says "bye baby" Clarens really knows how to slice and dice like a professional chef and will make literally anything you ask of him even if he has to get creative with it. I witnessed him make a Philly cheesesteak wrap for the man standing next to me and it smelt so darn good! I love all Publix's in general but this particular location just feels like home. The staff are so friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating (as you'd expect from Publix). During my last trip, the guy assisting me in the deli brought me my preordered party sub platter all the way to my shopping cart rather than just handing it to me over the deli counter. This was so courteous and helpful since the platter was quite heavy. 10/10 on helpfulness from the staff. The only reason this is not a 5-star review is because you need to step up your avocado game! I wanted to buy a couple Florida avocados for the guacamole I planned to make that day, but there was not a single ripe avocado of any kind in site. I even checked for ripe Hass or organic, but no luck. I ended up having to buy avocados that were not ready to be eaten and the guacamole turned out gross. I hope the next time I need ripe avocados you guys will pull through :) read more

Publix is a chain of supermarkets in Florida. Most of their stores are very large and offer a wide selection of products. While traveling through Florida I have noticed that some Publix stores are way bigger than others. I guess the the area where the store is located has a lot to do with that. I noticed that the Publix in Kendell is twice the size of the Publix near my dad's condo in Davie. The produce I find there is very nice and the price point is almost like the stores in NYC. When I brought my son there last year he mad a beeline to their fried chicken, claiming that they have the best he ever tasted. I had to agree it was very good fried chicken and I'm not a fan of fried chicken. They have a very extensive deli counter where you can even get an over stuffed sandwich among the prepared foods that they offer. Most days they have an employee cooking up some of the products they sell to illustrate how they can be prepared. They also hand out printed recipes. I like Publix while the other supermarket chain in Florida is Winn Dixie. GIve Publix a try. read more

I went to Publix today just to pick up a few items, noticing the arrows on the floor each isle goes in the opposite direction. I was going the correct way while others choose to ignore it, I said something to the associate working that isle and the lady had a fit. So what does the associate do? Tells the lady "it's not me, it's her" pointing at me, yup just threw me under the bus. I saw not only one but three managers together talking, told them about their employee and shrugged their shoulders. REALLY? What ever happened to customers first? Trader Joe's and other stores will get my $ for sure instead of double in Publix for 1 item. Watch the dates always on everything anywhere please. Never in my life have I ever felt so violated and so discriminate against today I went to Publix to buy water and fish my transaction total came up to $108 I pay with a credit card the cashier asked me for my ID and the credit card and the receipt all the sudden the card number is different and she has to get a manager next thing I know she has to walk away from the register with my card and the receipt the only reason was because I was a black female she claimed that the card numbers didn't match what was printed on the receipt when I looked at the receipt the card number match the last four the on the receipt the reason only reason she needed to bring it to customer service was because I am a black female with a transaction over $100.
