We wander in without a shopping list. Wife was shocked, her favorite 5 lb. Koda Farm sweet rice was on sale for $14.99. This product was retailed in Fort Myers for $22. Quickly she packed up Hoisin sauce, Sesame oil, Coffee Candy and several packages of Tofu, bean sprout, and baby Bok Choy. They have a huge selection of frozen foods, but we did not pick up any because we needed a cooler to keep them for our drive home! There are clams, blue crabs, lobsters in tank and other fresh seafood available. Goat meat and lamb stew meat are on display. Meanwhile, I picked several chrysanthemum tea, red date, Goji berries. The place is spacious, clean and neatly organized with plenty of parking. Many items are reasonably priced. Two self-checkout counters were available, and the cashier lines are moving quickly. The staff is courteous and helpful! This is a short and quick visit, will return to explore more on our next visit with a cooler and a shopping list!

Although I love the huge selection here, sometimes it's nice just to be able to walk into Kimchi Mart and get everything I need in a smaller space. Not gonna lie, it took me about 1 hour to cruise around the entire Enson Market, just to make sure I looked at everything. Most Asian markets have similar items, some have better options than others. But when you talk about ELITE Asian markets, California has the BEST options with Mitsuwa Marketplace, Tokyo Central and H Mart. I love how they incorporate bakeries, food halls and tons of fresh prepared foods as grab & go options. To be fair, Cali also has a bigger Asian population than Florida, so there's that too! Enson Market is incredibly clean, organized and a beautiful Asian Market in itself. They did a great job with the way everything is laid out. The produce, meat and seafood options look fresh! I love that they do have a sushi, onigiri and fresh grab and go food space. Although when I came around 1pm, most of these options were gone so it was mostly empty. They also have a little area next to the bakery items and seafood space where they sell roast duck, crispy pork, bbq pork (char siu), and more. I would definitely come back for these!!! Frozen food options are abundant. I can say the same about the snacks, condiments, beverages, noodles, rice, instant noodles and just about every pantry item possible. All in all, Enson Market is a wonderful Asian Market in the Plantation area. They have everything you could possibly need or want. Prices are fair, service is good and quality is stellar. They have two self checkout options by the front too. Excellent option when you need Asian ingredients or just fun snacks, food or drinks!

They have some amazing pizza dough that I use to cook garlic rolls with! The place is very easy to navigate and there are labels and signs everywhere so you know exactly how much everything is as well as where you may find different items you are looking for! The parking lot is absolute chaos. Cars cutting through lanes, shopping carts appearing out of nowhere, people backing out like they're qualifying for the Daytona 500... getting from your car to the front door becomes a real-life game of Frogger with groceries on the line. Once inside, the store definitely shows its age. It's older, a little worn down, and there's kind of a permanent "this building has seen some things" vibe happening throughout the place. The lighting feels tired. The floors feel tired. Honestly, parts of the store feel like they're just trying to make it to retirement. That said... credit where it's due. The prices are good, the selection is solid, and for a smaller format Walmart, they actually carry a pretty decent variety of products. If you're trying to knock out grocery shopping without paying Publix prices, this place absolutely gets the job done. The staff? Nobody was rude, but there's definitely an atmosphere of "I am physically here, but emotionally I left two hours ago." It's not hostile... just very low-energy. Like the entire building collectively needs a vacation. At the end of the day, this Walmart is basically the definition of average. Not terrible. Not amazing. A little dingy, a little chaotic, but useful and reasonably priced. Three stars feels exactly right because three stars is the official Yelp rating for "Well... it exists, and I bought groceries."

I did some research on places that sold ready-made food because eating out every night gets super expensive, not only that, we were very tired and jet lagged and didn't want to get dressed and go driving around looking for somewhere to eat. This particular location was on University Avenue (very busy) and at times my knuckles turned white on the steering wheel but I made it into the parking lot in once piece. There was a nice section of ready-made foods like potato salads, sandwiches, California rolls, soups, and curiously a container of "butterscotch pudding" in the middle of the savory stuff. I don't know why I didn't take a photo, because the night before my husband said I was talking in my sleep and I said "oh yummy, butterscotch pudding" - which was super strange because normally when I talk in my sleep it's 99% unintelligible. I have never seen butterscotch pudding ready-made to eat in my life before. Very strange. I wandered around and saw a line of people at the deli, so I followed. It was a hot deli where you could buy a half or a whole sandwich. As I was in line, the guy before me just turned his entire body completely 180 to stare at me. STARE. For seconds, just stood there and stared. I dared not look at him because he looked frightening. I wish my husband was here, but he was snoring back at the hotel. I ordered both of us half-sandwiches, which were very good by the way (me - veggie, husband - hot honey chicken). I believe half a chicken sandwich was in the neighborhood of about $7.00, very reasonable. Publix also carries gourmet cheese, exotic orchids, hard to find fruits like the Florida Pineberry, which I managed to snag for dessert. It was scary driving there, being there, and returning in rush hour traffic but we saved a lot of money and enjoyed the moderately cheap eats, including wine.

I love Aldi and Trader Joe's and it makes sense because they have two German brothers in common…read more The abbreviated history is that Aldi's and Trader Joe's were owned by the two brother's who fell out over whether or not to sell cigarettes. In 1962, they introduced the name Aldi, short for Albrecht-Diskont, which translates into English as Albrecht Discount. The company split into Aldi Süd and Aldi Nord, which operate thousands of stores in Europe, the United Kingdom and Australia. Aldi Süd controls the U.S. chain of Aldi stores while Aldi Nord operates in the U.S. as Trader Joe's. ALDI opened its first U.S. store in Iowa in 1976 and now has more than 2,200 stores and is headquartered in Batavia, Illinois. While Trader Joe's has great prices, Aldi will beat them and just about everyone else's prices every time. You can still signs of that German heritage all over Aldi's like in their German line of products called Deutsche Kuche, which offers offers beer, chocolate, roasted coffee, and uncured Bavarian bratwurst. If you want to save money on groceries, Aldi's is a great way to do it. In order to bring you those low prices Aldi's has instituted some cost cutting measures. If you want a cart you will need to bring a quarter and to get your money back you need to return your cart from the parking lot back to the store saving employees from having to collect the carts. You will also have to bring your own bags or pay for theirs. Sometimes I'll just grab one of their empty boxes. Lines used to be long in store because they keep their staff to a bare bones minimum but since they added self checkout I rarely wait in line anymore. I was at Sawgrass Mills Mall and needed a few items so I popped into this location near the mall on Sunrise Blvd. There are now 208 Aldi locations throughout Florida so there is always one near by when I need it. The store was clean and well organized. I was able to easily grab what I needed and I had fun checking out the new Aisle of Shame inventory where they have a lot of cleaning products and exercise equipment in anticipation of the new year. My new favorite Aldi product is the Coconut Hydration Electrolytes Blue Mix Sticks in the blue raspberry flavor. They are only 15 calories and make your water taste delicious. Thanks to them I'm carrying my Owala with me wherever I go. I also love that this Aldi had the self checkout that allowed me to get out quickly and on my way to my next adventure.

At first glance as I enter the vestible, are a long stacknof LOCKED, shopping carts that have .25 cents imprinted on the top of the cart to rent. Then if you return the cart you are reimbursed the quarter. Also, there are no shopping bags provided. The store is much smaller than Publix but it seems to be easily navigated with wide aisles and the food sections are largely displayed on the walls. The prices for similar Publix or Winn Dixie items seem slightly lower on most items. Looking for a simple seeded rye bread was a failure, although, they did offer a large variety of private and recognizable national brands. The beer section was fully stacked and noticed that the prices were extremely competitive. The best deals were the bags of mini avocados for $3.69 instead of the competition price of $5.19 or one gallon of whole milk by Friendly Farms for $3.02. I grabbed a bag of avocados and walked to the self checkout and noticed they dont accept cash, so paid the low price on my credit card and left. After the completion of this shopping project, I would have to agree that there are deep discounted deals here and many reviewers were correct.
