The worst Publix I have ever been to. We ordered a very simple birthday cake over the phone. Stock cake with colored icing inscription and border. The employee took down all of our information and we had a prop for the top that we agreed to bring in the following week closer to party. When we brought it in on the arranged date and time, there was no record of our order at all. The party was 3 days away. I am so glad that we didn't choose something detailed or custom! On the day of the party we picked up the cake, and the icing colors were wrong. Got a tiny discount. No time to fix it. I wanted to order bread during the holidays and I called the bakery. I asked for the bread which I have been ordering over 20 years now from Publix and was told "we don't do that." I called another Publix down the road and ordered it there instead. They knew exactly what I wanted. Decided to give them another chance recently and wanted to order hot food from the deli. Called several times and was put on hold for 5 minutes or more and then hung up on each time by employees who were very rude. I purposefully did not call during mealtimes, and I didn't even mind the wait, but it was clear from the way they spoke to me they did not want my business. I seriously don't know what is going on at this store. We use the Mulberry location now. Much better! read more

I shop at many different Publix grocery stores but this location has an all star deli! Belinda is my all time favorite. Everyone is always pleasant, greets you immediately even if engage with a customer, service with a smile, and the icing on the cake is that while many faces pass before them each week they somehow remember yours and say, "Nice to see you again. How have you been?" like they had just seen me a week ago when it's most likely been several weeks since I was at the deli counter. This store just has an exceptional crew working at this location; and that's saying a lot because Publix is just the creme de la creme of grocery stores! My first review of the New Year is dedicated to one of my favourite grocery stores, Publix. This is a very clean store, after years of shopping at this location, it is about time to post my review. They have a very wine selection at this location right in front and the shelves here are always stocked. The staff here are always very friendly and they usually always have a bagger here. For those who need help loading groceries into their vehicle, Publix always has staff that are there to help customers, which is one of the big reasons why I prefer them. Yes, they might cost more than other super markets, but when shopping here, customers are paying for higher quality service. When you need a birthday cake, just call ahead. I had a lovely time shopping at Publix Dacula Rd tonight around 8pm. The store is always organized and spotless. It was so nice to see Belinda, in the Deli section, come right out and be ready and willing to help with my order of 3 items. She has a beautiful smile and sincere willingness to make sure your shopping experience at Publix is a pleasure just as they advertise. Publix Dacula Rd is my go to store for 12 yrs. I did observe Ana, willing to walk out with me and bring the electric cart back. I didn't realize she was the assistant customer service manager. It was my first time encountering her. I liked it that no job was too big or small for her to help the customer. Also, I have always appreciated Daniel, who carries himself so well who is always ready and willing to help me at the customer service counter with a great smile whether I needed help with lotto tickets, a quick check out if I needed to purchase only 1 or 2 items and rainchecks. Many days Daniel it the first person I see at the Customer Service Counter when I first enter the store who always smiles and says hello. It's wonderful employees like Belinda, Ana & Daniel that truly do make shopping at Publix Dacula Rd a pleasure. read more

Everyone likes the thought of planning an elaborate surprise for their spouse on the day of their anniversary!!! Some go the route of dinner and a movie while others plan romantic getaways. The reality is... sometimes work schedules have a knock-out winning blow to the romantic inside you. That's were I thank my local Publix. Today marks our 14th Wedding Anniversary, and most of it will be spent apart due to conflicting work schedules. No romantic dinner or date night, but I did manage to clean the entire house before leaving for work, which I hope will bring a smile to her face when she comes home. I also managed to stop by Publix for a bouquet of roses to take to her while she was still at work and her favorite sushi from the fresh foods department. Good thing they have a section of Hallmark cards, so I could look like I actually planned all of this!!! I've bought almost every card in the book after 16 years of loving this woman, but she proudly smiles at every one. I wouldn't be surprised to see it displayed on her night stand when I get home :-) A quick moment to tell each other I love you was all we had for this landmark day. But it's ok, because I'm sure I will be back to Publix soon for more flowers, more cards and more items for the romantic dinners in our future. They have been doing a great job during Covid. I find myself shopping more at Publix these days for the cleanliness I am not seeing at other stores. If you shop the sales, (I love BOGO) & use the digital and paper coupons, it can work. They put 2 parking spaces in now too I saw yesterday for those Instacart pickup orders. I feel weird reviewing a grocery store but i had to! This is my favorite publix of all time. Used to go to another one but we discovered this is closer to home. What makes me love this one is because of the engaging employees. Yeah yeah publix have great CS BUT they're super nice here! This location used to be one of our favorite Publix locations; we would actually drive out of our way to shop this location before moving to Dacula. However, lately we have felt the attitude from some of the staff is not up to par with Publix standards. The Meat department I would give 5 stars, all employees in that department are very helpful. There are a few (who we believe to be managers), who aren't as friendly or welcoming, regardless if you are an actual non employee customer or an employee as a customer, all customers should be treated equally and none of the employees should say "oh that is so and so, that person works at another store or the warehouse". Manager or supervisor, working with other employees should show prime example of how to treat customers regardless who they are. Publix policy is to bring the groceries out to the customer's vehicle and load the groceries in the customer's vehicle. With this location (for whatever reason) doesn't have cart areas in the parking lot, so most times the shopping carts are left in the parking lot until an employee comes out to retrieve the carts and bring back into the store. If an employee is getting paid to bag groceries, they are also getting paid to bring the groceries out to the customer's car and not just stand around. Unless a customer says "I got this", there should be no excuse for employees not to do there job they are getting paid to do. There are a few things that really don't show Publix true commitment at this location, so we don't shop at this store as often as we once did. I give the store 3 stars, the only department that gets 5 stars would be the meat department. read more

Decent supermarket. I like that you don't have to use a "Card" for discounts and the is very friendly. They offer to help load your groceries which comes in handy at times. They also have a good selection of meats and cheeses in the deli. Try one of their subs! They are awesome! read more

Clean, well stocked, with friendly service. Ordered a sandwich from the deli. An Atlanta Falcons special. It was delicious. Only ordered half a sandwich but was satisfied with the portion size and quality of the product. Jools was the employee who helped me today and displayed a very cheerful attitude. Publix has the best subs hands-down! I have been to several locations and they are consistently very good. This location was a step above in that I was very impressed with one of their employees "Brooke". She was very cheerful and attentive to my needs. She made me feel like I was her top-priority and ensured I had a positive experience. read more

I love this Publix! It's always clean, the staff is friendly. At the Deli department, they always offer a sample of whatever they have on sale, which is nice. The produce is fresh, and the items seem to be rotated pretty regularly. I also would like to mention that their Meat Department is awesome! They stock certain varieties of fish, but if there's something that you want that they don't have, they'll try to get it for you. I've ordered MonkFish which I was able to get after a couple of days. Once, I ordered some Haddock. Unfortunately, when I came back after a couple of days, they didn't have it. It was not available because they had some sort of shortage. No biggie, but as it turns out, they kept trying to order it regularly, and after about a week and a half from my initial "request", they had it for sale! Ok, so maybe it took a little time for me to get it, but the thing is, I actually gave up on it. It wasn't their fault their supplier couldn't provide. However, they kept trying until they got it. Wine selection is good. It's also nice that they stock some of the buy one get one deals at the front of the store so you can see it when you're getting in. Bakery - I've ordered from there before. I ordered online, but it's best to give them a call to make sure that they received the order. Apparently, they share the printer with another department, and sometimes, the requests don't go through. Anyways, this is my place to shop. I think I'm sounding like a commercial right now, but it's just nice to have this neighborhood place that has all my grocery needs. read more

This is the "OLD" Publix in Dacula. Sure, it's the busy one, but it's showing its age. This is a small store for the area...should have been twice the size and still would feel small. As long as you want the run of the mill items they'll probably have them. Venture into the specialty items and you'll be hard pressed to find them EVERY time you're in here. They randomly stock some items that are slow movers because this store is so small. The "NEW" Publix down Fence @ Auburn Road is nicer, but seems about the same size, but has more consistent stocking off special items and friendlier employees. I often times will drive by this old one to go to the new one...if nothing else to support the newness and that shopping area. And a note to Publix Management -- put some "Cart Returns" in the parking lot! It's silly not to have them not matter what size parking lot you have. I don't want to have help out to my car and I don't want to have to walk the carts up to the front door all the time. Put in some "Cart Returns"! Watch out for the new Kroger to open across the street from this one! You'll soon be able to find a lot of parking available at Publix if Kroger learns anything from this Dacula location. read more

Love this grocery store close to the house. We find everything we need here. The have an awesome deli that makes fresh subs as well as hot foods. The store is always very clean and the staff is very helpful. Best part is that they run weekly Buy one get one free offers on multiple items, great deals! read more
