Didn't feel like Bruesters so my husband suggested we go to Race Trac. My friend (and his teenage son) were shocked (and laughed) when my husband recommended RaceTrac. We coaxed them into going and I am happy to say that it was really good! They call it Swirl World! They have several soft serve ice cream choices (self serve) with tons of toppings! They offer two sized bowls (both if which are affordably priced). The cost is not by the "weight" of your ice cream, just the size bowl you get. We had fun building our own sundaes! Oreo topping was out, we asked about it and it was quickly restocked. Great customer service! As we sat outside on their nice tables, we saw plenty of families going to Swirl World! We've made our friends believers that you can go to a Gas Station for good "affordable" ice cream! Give it a try!

My daughter is a slushy maniac, and although I don't get them for her often, I gravitate here when I am going to get her one. Prices are very reasonable, and they have an excellent variety of slushies including mango, lemonade, strawberry banana, watermelon, Coke, Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper, cherry...it really has something for everyone. Her friend tried her first slushy here, and she loved it. On the flip side, if you like beer, they have a huge walk in freezer full of cold beers. I mean, huge! Plenty of parking since it's located in a shopping center. Even during busy days/hours, parking is never a problem. I've been here several times and have never had any issues. Items are usually in stock. I mainly come here for the sourdough round bread (with only 3 main ingredients) - my family is obsessed. They've been out of it a few times but fortunately, I've been able to find good substitutions. Store is clean and shelves are organized. The layout flows well. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They work quickly and efficiently, too. I only had a $54 purchase and it could have been in only 3 bags, in my opinion. Plus, I had added a $10 tip for my shopper, which they keep 100% of. The order was delivered on time, quietly to my front door. There were a few substitutions I had approved in advance if not available, mostly of inorganic items for organic that I wanted, that lowered my final cost. Everything was in excellent condition. All in all it was worth it this time. It didn't really save me any time, because it took me over an hour to find what I needed online and they didn't have everything I wanted. But, I had been camping all weekend - my feet were killing me and I needed a shower, a nap, and to put everything away, and to wash everything. So I am happy my favorite grocery store has delivery service! When I think about it now, using Delivery probably saved me about $100. When I go into the store, I find so much great stuff, that I always spend another $100 on stuff I didn't know I had to have! LOL, which takes me an extra hour anyway.

They also do compounding if you have a unique prescription need. I found the pager feature they use to be a fantastic little perk to have while you wait so you can go outside. The only seats are in the back at a desk that is used to speak to a pharmacist regarding equipment and other medical questions/advice/etc. They say that you get your prescription in 5 minutes but keep in mind that is 5 minutes PER medication and that's assuming that the prescription was called in/written out correctly. If there is any issue with the prescription the pharmacist will take the time to call whomever wrote it in an attempt to get the issue corrected immediately. They'll keep you updated on the process via use of the pager. Additionally you can call your refills in ahead of time as with most pharmacies but an extra perk they offer is delivery! I wish I could give this pharmacy ZERO stars, because even one star feels undeserved…read more My family has been using this pharmacy for over 30 years, which makes what happened to my 84-year-old grandmother even more disgusting and disappointing. My grandmother was given her heart medication, which was supposed to contain 90 pills. Instead, she received only 30. When she went back to the pharmacy to address the issue, rather than simply investigating their mistake, she was accused of stealing her own medication. Let that sink in: an 84-year-old woman was accused of stealing medication that was prescribed to HER. Are you kidding me? My grandmother would never steal anything--ever. She was so humiliated and hurt by the way she was treated that she cried about it for days. No elderly person who has been a loyal customer for decades should ever be made to feel like a criminal because a pharmacy failed to properly fill her prescription. And before anyone tries to imply that she somehow needed to steal medication, my grandparents have worked hard and owned multiple businesses in Forsyth County throughout their adult lives. Stealing has never been part of who they are. The most upsetting part isn't even the missing medication--mistakes can happen. It's the way the situation was handled. Instead of showing basic respect, compassion, and professionalism, my grandmother was treated like she was guilty of something she would never do. After more than 30 years of loyalty, my family is officially DONE with this pharmacy. We will never use them again, and I sincerely hope they think twice before treating another elderly customer this way. Do better. An apology after the damage is done doesn't erase the humiliation you caused.
