I don't know why, but this Publix location always has a LOT of customers inside it. The lines are long and most times I have to leave my cart at the end of the aisle and walk down to what I'd like to get because there are so many displays blocking the sides of the aisles that makes navigating with a cart pretty stressful. Every time I've gone, they are stocking with a large cart that takes up even more of the aisle...Saturday, weekdays, evenings, whenever, they are always stocking. I like their seafood, produce and meat, although they are a good bit more expensive than other local grocery chains. I used to be a huge fan of Publix, but lately the service at this location is terrible. I like to order deli meats, sandwiches, etc ahead of time. There have been multiple situations where they never received my order or just don't have it ready on time. It has gotten to the point where I order it to be ready an hour before I get there just to make sure it is ready. Today we ordered a sub online to be ready at 6pm. We got there around 6:45pm to find the sub was never made and they had no record of my order. Now we are waiting in the line to get a sub made. I spoke with Bradley in customer service who was no help at all, instead just offering to transfer me to the deli, who already doesn't care. Great service, Publix. read more

I live right around the corner so I'm here shopping all the time. Employees of course are always friendly. But the real MVP is the CHICKEN SALAD. I almost don't want to mention how amazing it is because I need it to stay a secret. Nothing else compares, not even Chicken Salad Chick. I hope they never stop making it. read more

For the most part, I like the Johns Island market on Savannah Hwy, however, they have the worst deli I have ever dealt with. The deli employees are rude, lazy and never slice the meat to the requested thickness. No clue what slice it thin, please means. There needs to be some management intervention. read more

I've used this Publix a few times now as I live about a mile away. The selection of foods is great and every employee I have interacted with was pleasant. It's also convenient there's a Redbox there. My only issue is the prices are noticably higher. I understand they carry high quality meats and food but I can go elsewhere to get the same quality for less. Was in the mood for a pub sub and was disgusted at the lack of food safety and sanitary style of the worker Machel. He had her fake fingernails broken thru her gloves as she made subs and never changed her gloves. After touching handles, her cloths, utensils and cleaning up she continued to wear the same gloves as she moved thru each customers order. After watching this I decided this was not the pool of germs I would choose to eat from this evening. Basic food handling practice was not used at all. With all that she had an attitude and did not smile or greet anyone. It was the worst experience I have had getting a sub at a publix. read more

Good quality grocery store overall but the deli is major slacking. Can take 20 minutes to get meat and cheese cut some times and I love waiting 20 minutes for a sub getting up to the front and being told that they're out of their most popular item: chicken tenders for the chicken tender sub. This has happen to almost every weekend for the past month. Step it up. read more

This is a nice new store out by John's Island. I know I can always get what I want at Publix, they are fully stocked. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a Redbox here, which is also a big plus for me. read more

Conveniently located in an area that is being developed. They have a small selection of organic products. Vegetables and fruit are fresh. Good selection of wines, but they are a little pricey. In general, the products are good and a little more expensive than Walmart, but quality has its price. read more

I love a publix sub! I was out running errands and stopped her to get a sub for lunch. I got a whole italian sub combo meal with boar's head meat. All in all the combo cost almost $10. There are definitely cheaper options out there but subs here are so good I will keep coming back. read more

Publix continues to impress. We are able to find some rare items like restaurant bbq sauces (which they have a huge variety of). It's nice because they have some things that other grocery stores don't have. The people working there are always happy and polite. I have never waited in line for more than a couple minutes. It is very rare that I ever wait in line at all. They bring your groceries out to your car for you, and offer you umbrellas and rain coats when it is raining. A+++ read more

I would give this a 0 if there was that option. The absolute worst dried out wings ever. I sent my husband and I am sure they gave him wings that had been cooked days ago. Never again. Can't believe they offer old dried out food like that. read more

This is the third Sunday in a row that I've come here to find the produce section totally empty just to have an employee tell me "the truck is late". It's so frustrating to come for your weekly grocery trip and not be able to get the food you need. I love publix but I'm going to have to consider going to another store from now on so I can get the groceries I planned to buy. read more

I'm a huge fan of Publix and this one is no exception. Everyone is helpful and it's very clean. I am sometimes uncomfortable when there are people sitting and watching me by the ATM that aren't employees. read more

Publix bakery: I ordered a buttercream cake for my daughters bday. They didn't have it when I was told to pick it up. They tried to make me feel like it was my fault, like I called the wrong store- which I did Not! Either way they said they could have it ready in 20 min, which I was extremely happy about, but very annoyed that there was no apology... I came back to get the cake.. It was a regular sheet cake for which they charge around $15 for premade cakes, and they added figurines that I also saw on amazon for $7... Imagine my surprise when i was told it'd be $50! I left annoyed still about the fact that there was no apology and the high price, but there was nothing I could do about it due to time constraints. Now, all of this I really could let go, but when we finally ate the cake... it was not buttercream! It tasted like some cheap grocery store Crisco cake! I had higher standards for publix bakery, but not anymore! Shame on you publix for charging $50 for that crap! read more

All of my family from West Ashley uses this Publix but it does seem lacking from the other location on Hwy 7. Parking is tough, the store is always packed, they seem to be restocking every time I'm there, but it is the most convenient with fresh food and very clean. I'll continue shopping until a more spacious grocery comes to West Ashley. read more

I am a dedicated publix shopper, and always will be. However both times i went to the deli counter, the employees were not the usual pleasant employees that were eager to help. There was one male and one female who did not deliver the greatest service when taking my order. It was disappointing to see how these two were not on the same page and willing to help us as other publix delis have been. read more

Went in today after work to get dinner and the hot side items were eeeeeek... They mash potatoes were hard, the little mac n cheese they had was dried and hard, the collards were dry on top until the young man mixed them, same with the gravy. When I asked him if some fresh sides were coming out he stated, "when the 5pm person gets here, they will put out some." WTF??? read more
