Upon entry into the parking lot it was evident that several elders were possibly driving blind and empty shopping carts left in many spaces making it somewhat difficult to park. The good news is we finally found a space, but the wife had to walk around to my driver's side to remove a cart to allow my door to open. After a few minutes of unwanted stress, we entered the busy Publix and were elated by the cleanliness. The customer service desk was hopping since the FL Lotto Powerball was at $1.8B. Aisles were heavily inventoried and items fronted. The larger than life popcorn barrel in the deli drew my attention with overflowing 7oz bags for $2.49, great idea for home movie night (see pic). We always take advantage of the 2 for 1 deals at Publix. Purchased the Carb Balance taco wraps 2 for 1, which are normally expensive at $5.49 per pouch. Checked out with a live smiling cashier and left the dangerous parking lot unscathed. read more

I spend so much money at Publix - pharmacy and supermarket. You would think they would be nicer. This is not the first time I have found the pharmacy staff to be both not nice and unhelpful! I bought a Covid test there and it was defective. They should be standing behind the products they sell rather than acting like they could care less when there is an issue. Why should I have to deal with getting reimbursed by the manufacturer. IMO, Publix should have given me back my money and dealt with the manufacturer. What happened to customer service? It's such a joke. If I were the manager of this Publix Pharmacy, I would be having a long talk with my staff and be giving courses to all of them on customer service. We were nearby for lunch and decided to run in to get a lotto ticket. In addition, my husband had a $2 off Publix loyalty coupon he needed to use before it expired. To use the discount, we had to spend $10. This was not hard to do here, as this was the most expensive Publix I've ever been in.. It also seemed to be quite a bit more upscale based on their stock, olive bar, and product availability. Walking by the produce section, I had to gasp. Bananas were 25 cents more than what I'd just bought them at another store. The same mandarin oranges that I paid $3 for in another store were here at $10! Eeek!! I decided to just get a few things that I know that my regular stores don't usually carry -- a specific type of cream cheese. I also got a favored bread (about $2 more than it is in Walmart) that is not always in stock. The only thing we did buy that was close in price to other stores were some seedless green grapes. They were only $1 dollar more a pound than the other Publix we frequent. The grapes did turn out to be wonderful -- fat and juicy. The store was bright and clean and well-staffed and stocked. Your store never had our Thanksgiving pre-order ready for pick up. I was there at the appropriate time and they could not find the order, amongst stacks of paperwork nothing on a computer. I left with no food at about 6 o'clock in the evening. Wound up with no turkey dinner for Thanksgiving, at great inconvenience had to make immediate and not that great dinner plans! They could not find the order itself, which was placed with a person two days prior in the delicatessen department only to be lost by someone and never recovered. I was offered a frozen turkey! Well what can you say about Publix?! Most of the time it's got what ya need to put some food in the fridge. Some of the staff are ok and some of the staff is above ok. The two cashiers we deal with are absolutely wonderful. We aren't fans of the self check out thing. Don't get me wrong, I still think this is one of the best Publix stores around (especially compared to the 5 other nearby locations) I like the store enough that I forget or overlooked one situation that occurs at this store very often. The deli here is always busy and beside it you have a sandwich station, a soup station, a hot food case and finally the chicken station.... many times we stand at the hot case and all the help is at the sandwich station or deli; I don't mind waiting but no ever says anything like "one moment" or anything; just that vacant glance over at us. I don't mind waiting but at least acknowledge me so I don't have to impatiently stand there wondering if I have been discovered. read more

Publix has one of the best delis in town. All of their locations that I've tried are fairly consistent. They use Boars Head products in the deli and are they delicious! I like Pastrami, Roast Beef and Baby Swiss Cheese among other deli treats. Publix breads are great also. I particularly enjoy the fresh Chicago rolls for sandwiches but all the breads are classic. Lettuce and tomatoes from the Produce department are first-rate as is the fiery Chipotle Gourmaise (mayo and chipotles) or just plain old mustard. To go along with your sandwich they have Macaroni Salad, Lays Potato Chips and Deli Potato Salad--New York Style. So creamy and wonderful. Top it off with a kosher dill pickle and you're all set. Now, I'm starving for a deli sandwich and am ready to go to Publix! It's a terrific way to put out a deli spread for lunch. You can't beat it! When you request your order, they give you a slice to try before cutting the full half pound or whatever to see if the slice is too thick or too thin. It's a fantastic system. I get enough to eat for 3 or 4 days when I go to Publix. We are lucky to have a grocery store like Publix that has such wonderful items available at your fingertips on every other block. In addition, Publix has a wide variety of magazines and a full Pharmacy that features free antibiotics. I love to go there just for lunch items, but all of their grocery items are first-rate albeit a little more pricey than Winn-Dixie. Publix is a terrific grocery store! I love to shop at this Publix. Everyone that works there are friendly and helpful. Everything seems to be fresh. And the store is kept very clean. I really like that they have a cooking station where this really nice girl cooks up a lot of different dishes for me to try and gives me great ideas to make for the family. Most of the dishes are pretty simple too. And they have a display case beside the cooking station with all the ingredients they use so you can get everything quick and not have to walk all over the store looking for the stuff you need. I do my shopping Sunday's and even though I know I always wait to the last minute, I like that I can go to this store and they always have everything I am looking for. I really want to let you know how amazing the catering trays are at the Publix on Palmetto and Powerline in the Garden shops. We ordered multiple platters including cold cuts, cheese platter, high rollers, prosciutto skewers and cold chicken tenders All were made fresh just an hour before pick up. The deli person had called with concerns about some necessary cheese substitutes and was interested and knowledgeable. The prices were very reasonable during this time of food sticker shock. Really great choice for a crowd. Shopping in this Publix is generally a good experience, although I personally avoid their fresh fish and find the fresh fruit and vegetables not the best but adequate for my busy shopping trips. read more

This locations deli dept. pretty much ruins the entire shopping experience. 4/5 times I encounter an employee at the deli, with horrific "customer service" who has no business dealing with the public. When a customer greets you with respect and is polite, there is no need to reply with rudeness. The majority of the "team" at this Publix deli is rude, combative and aggressive to the point if I see certain employees behind the counter, I don't even bother. A very nice Publix Supermarket - if anything possibly one of the nicest ones that I have seen except for the bathroom facilities... Kind of needs work. Had a wider selection of valentines gifts that I had seen versus some others that I had been to, even versus the one that I usually go to. The only thing that I would say is that the parking lot and situation is insane!!! Holy mother freaking cow - it's deadly out there, way to congested and very tight spaces.... Some of the people are definitely not the nicest or very patient out there and will either honk or create a fuss... And typically from what I saw it's usually the older and elderly community. Publix is known for it's quality and customer service, but even though it's a chain, I notice subtle differences between the different stores. I went to this location in the Garden Shops of Boca on the corner of Palmetto Park Road and Powerline Road the other day, and was really impressed with the customer service. In the checkout line, there was an associate packing my bags and she noticed that I had bought only one bag in a buy-one-get-one free deal. She offered to get me a second one. Before that, the sugar box I purchased was leaking and when I mentioned it, the cashier got someone to fetch me another box. The layout in this large store is roomy and immaculate with a huge selection of items. Although all Publix stores are good, I like to go to this location when I'm in the area, because it seems like it is better run and the employees seem happier than some of the other Publix stores. read more

I like this Publix. A few years ago it was completely remodeled. Now it's big with good lighting and wide aisles. There are lots of registers and the lines at check out are usually short. This Publix is open until 11:00 pm, except Sunday, which is 10 pm. I live close, so if I need something and it's late, I can go there. I like the deli at this Publix. They have delicious cold cuts. If you like tuna salad go to their deli counter. I'm not talking about the little containers of tuna in their refrigerated case. You have to go to the deli counter and tell one of the people working there to get it for you. I usually get a half pound, which costs a little over $4.00. It really tastes fresh and delicious. You can make several sandwiches with a half pound of tuna. Bread, a slice of tomato, a little extra mayo, it's delicious. read more

This is probably one of the nicer Publix supermarkets in the area other than the Greenwise. There is another one closer to I95 on Palmetto but it's really small and I would much rather shop at this Publix. This particular location is fairly new and very large inside. They also have a liquor store which I think is really convenient. The parking lot can get a bit crazy at times and you will never find a parking spot close to the front because this plaza doesn't have enough parking spaces to support all of the stores and restaurants including such a large and busy Publix. After the complete tear-down and re-do, this Publix is greatly improved except for, sad to say, the deli section which, although considerably larger than the previous version, has lost its quality edge. I was there yesterday to pick up a few items, including the Land o' Lakes American cheese we've always bought there in the past. No more. They've dumped the first-rate LOL cheese for some really crappy product from Boarshead. Real tasteless junk. Also tried the "oven-roasted" BH turkey - but it was completely tasteless, water-plumped, garbage. Tried some of the BH "smoked brisket." Awful! Couldn't even force down a sample slice. This is completely the fault of Publix corporate misfeasance. Always headed toward the lowest possible quality point. What a shame. The only redeeming feature is the bakery department, where I got some pretty good croissants this morning. This publix really is the best one I've consistently shopped at. Being a big publix fan the brand already scores highly with me. Who can't love constant bogos and pub subs?! But this publix unlike most NEVER has issues with parking. Ever. It's amazing. They have a separate liquor store which I haven't seen in any other boca location. Good wine selection in the grocery store itself and a lot of craft beer options too. The staff is always friendly, the deli counter always has great service, and they always have enough cashiers on. You can get dinner at a restaurant nearby and then go grocery shopping! (Though you might not come home with much if you shop that way, not being hungry and all...) +Customer service. Everyone is helpful! +Fresh produce The only thing that I don't like about this place? - Parking! It sucks. It's the weird one way parking situation and I'm not a fan.
