I'm a true Trader Joe's goer. I like to check one out in every area we visit if they have one. This one has potential but it is by far the worst one we've been to. The parking lot can be a little hectic but that just comes with most of this area. Especially around the holidays, On to the inside... The restroom we used was not clean at all. It was bad. Customer service for us was not up to par. Our cashier barely said one word. People were either over the day or it's just how they run things, I'm not sure. Trader Joe's, for the 3 people who don't already know, is its own experience, at least in terms of diverse products; there are some organic items you just cannot find anywhere else, and for a moderately sized footprint, they have an awful lot of choices. That said, this particular location suffers from a horribly laid out parking lot with extremely small spaces, but being in bona fide Boca almost always carries that threat (along with avoiding some of the worst, and oldest, drivers in America). Once inside, while some of the aisles are a bit narrow, there is usually room to navigate, and the clientele usually know how to accept that other people also exist. There is ample lighting, prices are usually clearly marked, and they only seldomly run out of stock. I've noticed a couple of poor management practices that maybe only bother me (they wash down their shelves but don't always completely dry them, so you can infrequently get a plastic bag of fresh baked bread that is disconcertingly wet on the bottom), but overall it is a fun, if expensive, grocery excursion. read more

You're either a fan or you're not. I'm a fan, and always have been. I stumbled upon Trader Joes years ago with my sister in Atlanta. She told me about this great place that had good bottles of wine for under $6 and they were known for a $2 bottle called 2 buck chuck! Skeptical, I agreed to try, so we picked up a couple of reds, whites and of course I had to try one of the 2 buck chuck. Well I was hooked. A few years later, my husband and I were in DC walking back to the hotel, we passed a Trader Joes and he asked what is that, so my immediate response was OMG...we have to go in...this store is amazing. We got some wine and had the kids pick out snacks. It was then, that the rest of my family was hooked! The Boca location is my go to grocery store. Located on Federal Hwy couple of blocks north of Camino Real, there's a big parking lot with free parking. The staff is amazing and always willing to go out of their way to help. Today, I bought a bag of chips and the cashier thought there were too many broken ones, so he went and got another bag...how awesome is that? The best vegetable and salad section, whether you like organic or regular, it's always fresh and half the price of Publix. Fruit is the same. I do find the berries pricier but where else can you find bananas for 19 cents a piece or a bag of organic granny smith apples for $2.99. If you have a family and want to eat well, this is where to shop. Now for the wine, you can't beat the price. 2 buck Chuck is now $2.99, I don't drink it, but plenty of people do and it does make a good cooking wine. Trader Joes has a nice selection of red, white and pink. You can find decent wines for under $10. If you like red wine, the $7.99 Moonx is nice, with an aroma of dark berry fruit, cocoa, vanilla, and sweet spice, so is the Cocoban, its rich in berry flavor and is smooth and flavorful. At $2 less than total wine, it's a real winner. But my all-time favorite is the Claire Patelin sauvignon blanc. At $5.99 a bottle, it's my go to cold white. Fresh and fruity, it's my absolute favorite and it pairs well with some of the great cheeses at Trader Joes, like the apricot stilton or even some of the frozen appetizers like shu mai or spanakopita. There's something for everyone here. If you haven't been, try it, you may be hooked too. read more

I was never a Trader Joe's person because I tend to like big grocery stores. One day I had a hard time finding almond butter that was basic in its ingredients and didn't cost so much money. When I googled to locate stores near me - Trader Joe's came up. This is my favorite grocery store. Things are priced just right. I prefer getting fresh cut flowers from here because of the price and the quality. The produce is of great quality as well. The store is right in the heart of East Boca. It's an a very nice clean area. So is the store. It's always clean always maintained well when you're walking you are always greeted with smiles and there's always someone to help you with something and if they're not able to help you, they make sure they find someone who does. I love shopping here They have everything. Starting from frozen foods at noon to alcohol whatever you want you will find here. Prices are great. I would say it's the same as Publix. You'll find a lot of food in the store that you will not find in other stores, mostly international foods, and, my favorite thing to come in here for is the peonies which are always fresh. I'm not sure that this is a fair review or that I should even be rating this location so take this whole review with a grain of salt. I'm a bit prejudiced as I had a bad experience at another Trader Joe's and never quite understood the hype. I'm not into organic, per se, although I understand the advantages in some foods. To me, some fruits and vegetables are just way overpriced if organic and not necessary. Of course, I realize the philosophy behind it all. On the other hand, I will say that this particular store seemed clean and very well organized. And their prices, even more so being located in Boca, were surprisingly rational and competitive in a number of select items. Today is another year anniversary since my wife's brother died in military service, it is always a really bad day for her. This morning she went to Trader Joe's in Boca Raton, FL to purchase flowers for this afternoon's cemetery visitation. As she headed to the cash register to pay for the two arrangements, a very sweet employee named Naya approached and out of the blue said that there would be no charge today, not knowing anything about the reason for the purchase. My wife was very touched and told her the reason for the flower purchase, and then broke down crying, right there in the store. This very very kind gesture goes way above and beyond will never be forgotten. Thank you Naya and Trader Joe's!! read more

I've been coming here since they opened and post lots of pictures cause everything is so colorful but I failed to do a review even though I'm the duke. So here is a simple and short review. TJ is cool. They sell lots of stuff almost all of it under their own brand name. It's always fresh. The store is well stocked. Clean. The staff are very friendly. They seem like they really like to work there. They exude friendliness but in a sincere way. Some guys have tattoos as well as women but it's not the same as the tattoo folks from Whole Foods. They are not so friendly. Maybe the ink got to their friendliness genes. Some staff are very young. Some staff are older. They all wear these cool shirts that look like Hawaiian shirts but I don't think they are. They have a really great selection of wines. A lot. And well priced. And there's a woman there sometimes who shows you wines she likes and sometimes you can taste them. She knows her wine. And there is all this frozen prepared food that you can make and have an entire meal or parts of it. Some have a lot of sodium. Be careful. And then there is the crack isle that sells all these cookies and candies that are addictive and very nicely packaged and you can hear them shout to you "hey you little fatty buy me so you can enjoy me after dinner or as snack". Or they have lots of salty and crunchy snacks and some look healthy but I'm not sure if they are really. READ ALL THE LABELS. They have these tiny tiny shopping carts so your kids can shop with you and fill their own wagons. Nothing like starting consumerism at age 5! Their bathrooms are spotless. You can eat in them if you are stealing food as you walk the aisles. They have a great refund policy. Just bring th item back and you get your money back. Or even if you don't have the item tell them what was wrong and they give you your money back. Don't be all Boca-like and lie. Only tell them you didn't like something and it was bad if it was.the parking lot is crazy real crazy. Like the drivers try to hit you with their cars both fancy and non fancy and you better be real careful pulling in and out. They need more spots but that ain't gonna happen. There are so many things to say about this place. Just go and get some stuff. And don't complain that Publix bakery is better. Just go to Publix and get your bakery stuff there. And go to TJ for their stuff. Or they sell nice fresh flowers reasonably priced. I have been a loyal customer of this store ever since they opened. It was actually the first Trader Joe's to open near me and I was beyond excited. At first I shopped here a lot, and then less, and less. I still love me some TJ"s but it is a distance from my home and I can't do all of my shopping there. I find myself stopping in once in awhile or near the holidays for their seasonal offerings. Some of the things I love the most are their cookies and candy. That is one of the reason I started to limit my visits, I was picking up too much junk food. Another thing I love is the frozen croissants. You put the frozen dough in your cold oven the night before you want to eat them and during the night they rise and make your house smell like a French Pâtisserie. It's hard to decide if the chocolate or almond is my favorite but I keep buying boxes until I can make up my mind. During the holidays they offer the cinnamon roll wreath which takes it to a whole new level of fancy fresh baked treats. Other things I love are the frozen flat bread with prosciutto, 21 seasoning salute, the flavored teas (last winter they had chocolate mint, it was so good I hoarded boxes), wine, trail mix, hand soap, chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches, and flowers. During the holidays they offer a nice assortment of inexpensive bath products and fine chocolates that you can purchase to give as gifts. I also love the fresh wreaths they offer as you walk into the store. A whiff of them reminds me of the Northern holidays of my childhood. I love Trader Joe's inexpensive prices. i also like that they rotate seasonal item in so there is always something new to explore. The Fearless Flyer always send me off to find a new intriguing item. This time it was the frozen Hasselback Potatoes. I have always wanted to try making them but they seemed a lot of work. These solve that problem. I also want to check all of their appetizer in the frozen food section. I am very curious about the mini brie en croute. Even though I only visit once in awhile I never leave empty handed. I find this location to be clean and never fail to get friendly customer service. This location is a worthy representation of the chain. read more

Many things are definitely worth buying at Teader Joes, such as deserts and premade salads (in my opinion), however meat products are terrible! organic chicken is pretty much uneatable, sorry but where do they find it? worse chicken ever! also sea food doesn't taste as good as from other grocery stores, has to be a reason for that. lots of items there one day and gone the next day, and that alone is disappointing. Trader Joe has all the products I need for my daily food needs! I improved my health and my well being by shopping in that store. I have been a Trader Joe's fan since I first went to the Trade Joe's by my mom's house in Maryland many years ago, for over a decade I have been hoping for Trader Joe's to finally open in SFL, and finally my wishes have been heard and have come true! TJ's will not replace Publix for me for my regular shopping, however it is a much better alternative for me on items like fresh pastas/raviolis, regular produce, cheeses, crackers, pastries, and wines. Not only do they offer a large selection of organic goods, but it's also a fraction of the cost from what you would normally pay at Whole Foods. The only reason it's not 5 stars for me is that they have a limited variety of produce, they have regular stuff like carrots, lettuce, celery, potatoes, bananas, apples. I prepare a lot of veggie and fruit juice using my juice processor and I like to get different variety of greens like rainbow chard, turmeric, golden beets, cucumbers, kohlrabi, and others, all which I am yet to find at TJ's. Overall, Service is very friendly. I am very happy we finally have TJ's in SFL! read more

I may be the only person that doesn't really like this particular Trader Joe's. Don't get me wrong, everything is mostly fresh and the staff has always been nice. Keep in mind, this review is only for the Trader Joe's in east Boca. I have been to Trader Joe's on the west coat and these problems do not exist. Here are some reasons why I prefer not to shop at this particular Trader Joe's: 1- I don't think the prices are so cheap a) For clarification purposes, I can get those same prices at Sprouts and Aldi's every day or Fresh Market (Fresh Market sale items only) 2- It's so popular the store is always crowded 3- The parking limited and the parking spaces are very small a) It's too hard to fit in the parking spaces and I'm concerned when I come back from shopping I'll have dings on my doors b) I have especially careful whne parking as the cars are so close 4- When you have to wait in line to get in the store (Covid related) they don't manage the lines properly and the space is enclosed so I do worry for my safety 5- Last time i was their I bought organic carrots and they were bitter and over ripe. I don't go often as I do most my Shopping in Miami as I still commute between my two homes. But always come here for the groceries for a bbq, they have the most delicious baby potatoes. Trader Joe's is my all-time favorite place to shop for groceries. Just about everything is either organic or natural. I live in Coral Springs but go to the Boca Raton location. Like most Coral Springers, I only go to Trader Joe's sparingly because of how far it is for quick grocery shopping. I cannot tell you how many of us would shop there regularly and even multiple times a week if there was one in Coral Springs. We are tried of Luckys Market and Fresh Market, and even Whole Foods. All three of them are very expensive and don't have close to the variety that TJ's has. Regardless, the Boca TJ's is clean, neatly kept and a well designed parking lot. If you're new to TJ's be sure to try out the Crunch Cookie Butter, pre-marinated meats, and fully cooked single/double serving dishes such as meatloaf, chicken piccatta and Mexican chicken with peppers and onions. They also have a great selection of wines, TJ's branded chips and snacks and other bottled beverages that are sure to garner much attention. PS - TJ's please bring back the Funyon-like ring shaped corn chips! Those were MEDAL-warranted! read more

Trader Joe's is much more than a market. It's a selling place for Incredibly exotic fresh or frozen pre-made items such as Indian dishes like Chicken Tikka Masala. Trader Joe's is a fabulous place to find vegetarian or vegan dishes. You are also able to get very hard to find spices and off-beat ingredient that you need to complete a recipe. The aisles are packed with all types of patrons in search of a wonderful dinner dish. The staff is remarkably helpful in directing you to find the item that you are in search of. I love the exotic smell of Trader Joe's. It makes my mouth water in anticipation of the treat I am looking for. Many times that I have visited this beautiful store, they are offering free samples of wondrous meals that can be purchased in Trader Joe's. There really is nothing like this fabulous store. From breads and coffee to wine and beer, you can find it here. When a new Trader Joe's opens, it is truly an event for the neighborhood that is getting the new store. I love to just go up and down the aisles and see what new pleasures are for sale. Some of the items, I have never heard of. But after researching it, I find that it is worth trying a new taste treat. I was wearing a Florida gator sweatshirt which sparked great conversations with 2 staff members, I unfortunately didn't catch their names but I wish I did to recognize them! Love this store! Great grocery store with lots of organic choices for very reasonable prices. It is always fun to try new things here. They normally are sampling food in the store. Good value for fresh fruit and veggies. They have lots of salad kits and we especially like the southwestern one. There is a huge cheese selection and one of my favorites is the triple cream. I'm usually quite happy with my purchases from Trader Joe. however, I must say DO NOT BUY THE CHOCOLATE BABKA! unless, of course, you have a live in maid. The packaging (not the outer plastic) is some kind of plastic wrapped around the cake so you cannot slice it in its container. When you remove the whole cake to unwrap it, you will have chocolate pieces and cake and whatnot flying all over the table and floor. then when you try to slice the babka, again it shreds and the serving piece is a mess. as for taste, it's typical machine made cake, taste is ok. sorry for this review, but I spent 10 minutes on the floor wiping it up. I'm in love with this store!!!!!! Some friends of mine from miami were always mentioning Trader Joes and how amazing it is but all i knew was they are a grocery store. When they finally opened one in Boca Raton I when during the first week. They impressed me so much. Before I talk about all the good stuff, let me tell you the only 2 bad things. The 1st bad thing is I expected a regular grocery so I can't expect to get everything I need. and the 2nd bad thing is the parking lot gets crazy. They have plenty of parking spaces but it still has people honking and getting mad at each other. what i really love about Trader Joes is all the stuff they have that is their own brand. All of these items are priced very fair and are really good quality. Some of our favorite of these things are their juices, dried fruit, trail mixes, salad dressings and pastas, but my favorite is their chocolate bars. I buy these very expensive chocolate bars (I LOVE CHOCOLATE) but the Trader Joe ones are just as good and much much much cheaper. I also love they always have hot food samples, free coffee and tastes of juice at their in-store kitchen area. And some people don't know but ANYTHING in the store that you are wondering if the product tastes good, you can just bring the item to the in-store kitchen and they will open it and let you try for free and if it needs to be cooked, they will even cook it... ANYTHING in the store. And if you do like it and want to buy it, they want you to get a new one to buy (not the one you opened. And if all this wasn't great already, everyone that works here is very very nice. read more

I always love Trader Joes unique products and excellent pricing but last week when I was there, I had an amazing experience that I don't think you'd find in any other store. My daughter was using the child sized shopping cart and decided to stick her arms in the wrong way while waiting for me. She ended up losing her balance and falling with the cart - it was scary there but only for a second because a whole bunch of employees came running to help so quickly and they all made sure she was ok. Honestly, they made her feel so special in the moment and for the rest of the shopping trip they also kept checking up on her. Thanks!!!! read more
