the inside of a grocery store

Key Food is a brand new grocery store opening today in the Marketplace at Hillsboro shopping plaza in Coconut Creek. This store is part of a cooperative of independently owned supermarkets that was founded in Brooklyn, New York, on April 20, 1937. They now have stores in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Key Food carries all the products you are familiar with but they also have great ethnic selections. For instance the Duncan Hines cake mix had a Tres Leches mix and the Haagen-Dazs had dulce de leche bars. It was so fun to find so many new products that I want to try. .Everything in the store is sparkling clean and perfectly organized. The produce looked so fresh and the seafood counter was filled with delectable ocean delicacies from around the world. They also have a meat counter and prepared hot foods. Everyone working was so friendly and eager to help. Key Food is a great addition to the neighborhood.

I love this place. I usually get what I am going to be cooking and eat it quickly…read more I like that you can buy one or two peppers instead of a pack of everything like ALDI. I have been going here for 2 years now. They started to buy bins of good and I do not really see anything good in those buys. I might be the only one but I liked it better when it just had produce and other food items. The people that work there are very nice. Bring your own bags to shop. Worth going and seeing what you think. I love their herbs there. They have lots of fresh greens too. They get a truck every day but you do not know what's on it. Give it a try.

Average quality, high prices. They always encouraged me to come back, and I did. Quality is OK day-of. Most of it needs to be eaten quickly. For instance their watermelon or mangoes wont be good after a week. That's fine but $5.99/small melon or $1/mango are almost as bad as publix. Not quite but almost. Where's the deals? If its expensive, Where's the high quality? I respect their game and wish them luck but sadly its a closed chapter for me. Its not that im not going to return out of spite, but I wont be returning simply because there's no point to. Theres no deals or anything amazing anymore. Best of luck

Definitely, my OCD came out All the items / merchandise in the store were well displayed and it was colorful The employees were VERY welcoming, friendly and accommodating. There was one young lady, whom actually walked with me to search for certain items. I was very pleased Another young lady, Rosie, up front was VERY friendly, sociable and accommodating. I believed, I may have met the owner or manager, as well. He was a VERY nice gentleman and always had a smile on his face Thank you. I will definitely come back again and this time, with my daughter Pic enclosed.. I didn't expect to buy this much. LOL

I look forward to my next visit as they are getting more selections of the viral fruit shaped ice cream. They even have hot meals prepared around lunchtime, but first come first serve. 10/10

Not the largest or most dazzling location of The Fresh Market, but don't let the size fool you,…read morethis place delivers where it matters. For anyone who actually cooks it's impressively well-stocked with the kind of ingredients that elevate your cooking from good to fabulous. Case in point: the cherry selection alone deserves its own spotlight. We're talking Luxardo, Amarena, and not one, but three varieties of Bada Bing cherries, the kind of ingredient you'd expect to see in a mystery basket on Chopped. It's a foodie treasure hunt. This is a destination grocery for those who get excited about specialty ingredients and finishing touches. The kind of place where inspiration strikes as you walk the aisles. Service had a bit of a stutter in the past, but on this visit, the team felt present and back on their game. Bottom line: not the biggest or best Fresh Market, but absolutely fits the bill if you know what you're looking for or are on the hunt for something unusual.

Very poor customer service at this location…read more While waiting at the bistro, no one acknowledged us for several minutes. When a male employee finally approached, he didn't greet us and simply said, "You were next?" When I asked about the $5 pizza pie on Tuesdays, his response was "What about it?" He gave minimal answers, didn't take my name, and told me to come back in 10 minutes. His attitude made it clear he didn't want to be there. At the register, I realized I had left my money in the car and asked if the next customer could be charged so I wouldn't hold up the line. The cashier refused, saying a manager override was needed but the manager couldn't come out because they were busy in the office. When I mentioned the poor service at the bistro, I was told they were understaffed. Overall, the staff attitudes were unpleasant and unhelpful. This is disappointing, especially compared to the Pembroke Pines location, which is consistently friendly. I won't be returning to this location.

Doris, You're Beautiful... but My Wallet is in Witness Protection…read more If Whole Foods and an Italian grandma had a love child, it would be Doris Italian Market & Bakery in Coral Springs. The place is gorgeous -- like, "I suddenly care about the proper marbling of a ribeye" gorgeous. You walk in and instantly feel fancier, even if you showed up in gym shorts. Everything here screams quality. The produce looks like it just finished a spa retreat. The deli and meat counters? Absolute showstoppers. The bakery? Let's just say if carbs are a sin, I'm ready for eternal damnation. They bake everything in-house, and you can taste the pride (and probably a little buttered joy) in every bite. I came in hunting for a very specific treasure: Vidalia Onion Salad Dressing. I'd bought it here before, and it ruined me for all others. It's got this onion flavor that doesn't overpower -- it just whispers sweet nothings to your taste buds. Publix versions tried to compete, but they're like off-brand perfume: close, but not quite date-night material. Was it $7 a bottle? Yes. Did I still buy two? Also yes. Because once you've had this dressing, you start thinking $7 is a small price to pay for happiness in liquid form. Now, let's talk prices overall. Doris isn't cheap. If you tried to do all your grocery shopping here, your checking account might file for bankruptcy protection. But you get what you pay for -- and in this case, you're paying for quality, presentation, and a faint whiff of "old-world Italian pride." Five stars for the food and quality, four overall because you won't find every everyday item you need... but for meats, fish, deli, and bakery? Doris is absolutely worth it.
