I had a coupon for a free 2L Chek soda so I stopped here to get my soda. The store is similar to other Winn Dixies I might even say a bit more modern than the one in downtown Fort Lauderdale or the one on the Galt Mile. I was able to find the flavor I wanted, but I was surprised to see the variety of sodas they had...some regular, some diet, some tonic water, etc. I went through the customer service register, which had less people waiting in line. If I could give zero stars, I would. This might have to be the worst grocery store I've ever experienced. There is mold and old, spilled milk on the shelves of the milk section. The refrigerator doors do not close all the way and there are gaps in between the doors which makes one wonder if the refrigerators are able to cool and freeze food properly. Displays are broken and falling apart. There are never enough cashiers and therefore, always long lines. The store is overall dirty, moldy, dilapidated, and the customer experience is lacking in quality in every area. Not too many Winn Dixie's left in South Florida but the one located in Boca Del Mar is pretty decent. They totally transformed the store a while back when they added Kosher sections to appeal to the local residents. They have a Kosher deli, prepared foods as well as meats, wines, groceries and bakery. Of course they have the same options in non-kosher as well. They also have a nice floral section and a good sized organic selection. And although I have not tried it they have hot pizzas (also offered Kosher) and ai often see parents feeding their kids at the tables they have. So high marks for a large specialty selections (wine section is great) but the deli and bakery just is not up to par with Publix. Winn Dixie is a great grocery store, the problem is the Boca store has THE WORST EMPLOYEES in the history of bad employees. Every single employee moves at the speed of dead. You can see the zombie looks on their faces. Their disregard for customer service is palpable. You can stand at the deli for days waiting for the kid who works there to get around to you. There are three people (including those who are presumably managers) standing around talking at the service desk, with lines of people waiting to pay. I stopped in today for some chicken wings for lunch. There were no containers out, but there were stacks and stacks of them in plain sight behind the counter - like they had just received a new order. I also noticed there were some on the counter above the chicken wings, so I took one. A clerk yelled at me, said I couldn't use them and there were no lids. I had a lid in my hand. it was unclear if she was just lying, she was too inept to realize I had a lid in my hand, or she thought I was too stupid to know that I already had a lid in my hand? I went to the "No Customer Service Desk" and asked the zombie to speak to a manager. Zombie didn't move, Zombie didn't blink an eye, Zombie was probably thinking about her lunch break... zombie wasn't paying any attention to me. Unfortunately, I work across the street, so it's convenient for me to shop there. It will never be a pleasure... (And with all that said, kudos to the guys in the Kosher dept. This place is alright. I think their fresh produce section is a little paltry but once in a while the apples and pears are a good deal 1.25$/lb and beats publix. I found that the vegetables were not as fresh as Publix and the prices were actually sometimes higher than Publix. What I found actually cheaper were meats and dry goods. If you're a big meat eater then this place is for your carnivorous side. Oh and this winn Dixie had a HUGE kosher section. So kudos for that. The dairy section surprisingly was pricier than Publix despite Winn Dixie having a rep for being cheaper. What i like about Winn Dixie is that if you skulk around you'll find stickers marking things for quick sale. For a student who loves bargain hunting, nothing beats a sticker saying "1$ off". Kosher options. In a Publix world, Winn Dixie is a bit of an outcast. The main draw I would have to say would be the Kosher options, and also maybe the hot case. Here they have a Kashrus certificate from the Orthodox board. They have a Kosher hot case section, Kosher Sushi, Kosher Bakery, Kosher Pizza. Basically, if you are looking for Glatt Kosher, they have it here. The other positive, is in there regular hot case they have a lot of really good things Publix just doesn't have. I'd highly recommend the Beef Barbacoa with potatoes and carrots, delicious. The cheddar broccoli is also another one of my favorites, and they have a large wing selection. To talk about the service for a moment, I'd say this is a big miss. At the regular hot case area, the woman who was supposed to be serving was using her cell phone. Even after standing there for a few minutes she was just standing there texting away and not helping us. No one, other than the cashier helped bag us up. While the cashier was nice, I'd still like someone there to be bagging up our food. The store itself looks a bit outdated, needs some construction, and reorganizing the aisles. I'm personally closer to a Publix, so this Winn Dixie is a bit out of the way, but the hot case selection, and Glatt Kosher options will keep me coming back to this location for sure. read more

I went there for food. I calculated my purchase. It should have been $65. I went to the register the named Elizabeth rang me up and it came out to $85. I asked her to check it again, she refused. I asked for a manager. Another cashier came out instead. I had to leave. So I left the food there. Money is tight and food is excellent enough. Now I have to add getting cheated? Also I'll trained High School kids that don't know to use your equipment right. read more

Winn-Dixie is an excellent store. You can find almost anything food-related at a reasonable price. I did almost all my Thanksgiving shopping there. The highlights are: fresh french bread-- still piping hot to make your mouth water. They have great produce and meat departments as well as seafood, terrific wine and beer selection, and ethnic foods that are hard to find. I love Winn-Dixie. They are not pretentious, the lines move fast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything you want in a grocery store. You can also easily find parking close by in their spacious lot. They offer various discounts if you have their distinctive Black Card. It is a pleasure to shop there! read more

Decent grocery store; clearly a large selection of ethnic foods, including kosher, for the local communities, but also a bit of a haven for those other members of the community at large who drink too much cheap wine, smoke cheap cigarettes and play cheap games...nevertheless, the store is clean and bright, though the layout is a bit old fashioned. read more

This Winn Dixie is close to where I live. I like that they stay open until 11 PM, and that they have plenty of free parking. They're next door to a 24 hour CVS, so I can go to both places in one trip. They recently redecorated and the store looks great. Their prices for groceries seem to be a little cheaper then Publix, although Publix seems to have a larger selection. read more

This store is my go-to Winn Dixie for grocery shopping, and as far as customer experience is concerned, I think they are consistently doing a great job in a number of different areas. I know there's a Publix (overrated...) not far away, but in my opinion, this WD location is one of the better supermarkets in Boca Del Mar. They've recently repaved their parking lot and refurbished the exterior which is nice, and the store itself is always clean and well-lit. I've never had a problem with the employees, who are always friendly and helpful. There are often deals here which are worthwhile checking out. The kosher deli has a lot to offer and is great to have here, close to the large Jewish community. I also buy the WD brand products regularly, and have found they are pretty much the same quality as name brand, yet much cheaper. Come check it out. read more

Great prices but good luck getting any assistance. I guess they can have cheap prices this way. Waited at least 20 minutes at the bakery and asked three different employees. God, this is a weird Winn Dixie. I think mostly due in part to the location, it's in Boca but next to a seedy laundromat or dry cleaners. I never want to look directly over in that direction because of the freakaleaks standing that way. When you walk in, it's like you're transported back to an 80's super market with it's fluorescent lighting and feng shui of the place. But it's easy to navigate and the employees are usually helpful with assisting you. They offer Fuel Perks which is fabulous-for every $50 you spend, you get $.05 off of gas at select gas stations in the area (mostly Shells) If you go there in the morning they offer free coffee! read more

I purchased two slabs of BBQ ribs, and when I got them home and opened one of the packages the smell almost knocked me over. I took them right back to the store without my receipt, and they wouldn't take them back. They said they needed proof that I paid for them. This Winn Dixie always does the right thing. I just went in because I think what happened was my English muffins accidentally got put in the person's bag behind me. It has been five days. I just haven't had a chance to go in there to tell them. And when I did she immediately offered me a refund or told me that I could go grab my English muffins. One other time their system did not recognize a BOGO on a product I purchased, and they immediately credited me back the money no questions asked. They are very hospitable and accommodating and friendly. I am moving to another town soon and will be sad that I won't be going to this grocery anymore. Not as impressed with this particular store as other shoppers. I was looking forward to their kosher offerings, but many of the grocery items were either very expensive or expired. Example, the Lipton Kosher Noodle soup expired in March of 2015. That's a really long time for no one to notice and remove it from the shelves. Instead, they put it on sale, (and not even a major discount!) displaying total contempt for their customers. I was also surprised to see a display of Dole packaged salad greens, since the FDA sent out a notice of a voluntary recall by Dole. If in fact these particular packages weren't affected by the recall, then it would have been helpful for them to post a notice saying that. With their lack of attention to other food items, I don't trust them. Winn Dixie seems to be trying to attract customers by advertising lower prices, but they really need to get back to basics of operating a store. Some of these things would seem to be an easy fix with proper management and supervision. I really don't see any reason to return to this store. read more

I go to this Winn Dixie all the time. Today, i was on line to pay, it was my turn and the computer froze or something so they had to restart it. It took like 3 minutes, both cashier and manager were really nice. When I was about to pay, the manager gave me a discount because of the waiting. Super nice! Great customer service overall. I purchased 2 boxes of Mueller's vermicelli last night at winn-dixie..put it in boiling water and quickly saw many small black bugs in the product. GROSS!!! This is the worst winndixie I have ever visited. The deli manager is rude. I have seen her berate the deli associates and deny them lunch breaks or 10 minute breaks. One of them told me that they often had to work 6-8 hours without being allowed to take a break and then yelled at when they were not working up to the manager's standard. The front end manager, Darlene, is even worse. She is rude and dry with not only the cashiers but to the customers! She is short and very often condescending. If you need help in customer service, expect to wait 20-30 minutes for someone to attend you only to give you a half assed answer. If you're looking for excellent cutover service and a neighborhood supermarket to be loyal to, stick to Publix. They treat their customers AND their employees well. read more

I often go to this supermarket to get chicken wings on Friday evenings. They are usually really good. Today, as I approached the open self-service area where various versions of the wings are available, I noticed a man was already there. I decided to give him time to serve himself and made a little tour to get bread. When I came back to the chicken wings area, he was still there. Upon closer observation, I saw that he was eating something -- he was actually taking one wing at a time, taking a bite, then placing the wing back into the bin. There was a Winn-Dixie employee at some kind of a display/sample table facing this man. She even had a better view of what he was doing. I caught her eyes and signaled to her to look at what he was doing. She responded by giving me this look of disapproval, as if to say "shame on him." No sooner did she do that, another Winn-Dixie employee came in front of the guy who was eating the wings. He cleared the shelves, seemingly to get a better look at what the guy was doing. He said to the guy, "Can I help you with something?" Although I have sympathy for people who can't afford food, I felt this man deserved something stronger than a subtle hint -- he should have been told "Sir, you can't do that -- get away from the chicken wings." I also think they should have closed that section of self-serve chicken wings and thrown away the food that was already there. But at that point, I left the area and went to pay for my stuff. I felt that maybe I should have been the one to confront the man. But was it really my role to do that? Two Winn-Dixie employees saw what this man was doing. This Winn-Dixie supermarket claims to be a "Kosher" market. I'm not Jewish, but doubt that what I witnessed today was in any sense Kosher. I don't think I'll be able to go back there and buy wings again. That's too bad -- they were really good. read more

Terrible customer service and extremely rude manager. They had six workers at the kosher deli and just two customers and I still had to wait over ten minutes for rude service. The manager two weeks ago would not honor a simple buy one get one free bead sticker. The produce quality is only fair at best. Although they made improvements in the store the product quality has gone down slightly and customer is very poor. read more

This is a really good alternative to the ever present Publix. Their meat selection is excellent with many half price specials.You see many items here that Publix does not carry like Turkey Hill iced tea. No crowds makes shopping here a pleasure. read more
