Cooking the bacon off the sub
    Virginia B.

Terrible experience at the deli counter today. We ordered 2 subs and sliced turkey and sliced beef on line. We were given a 4:30 pickup time. At 4:35 I checked and they were not on the pickup cooler. I shopped for many other items, then went back at 5:35 , but still nothing. Had to wait to get to a guy , and when it's finally my turn I tell him about the order. He looks puzzled, repeating the 4:30 time, then goes to look for a ticket. None found. He just walked off. So I go down to where the meat is sliced and wait for two guys who are talking to each other, one acknowledges me. He had the meat behind the counter, said they were working on the subs. Lie. He goes to the sun station and starts to make the subs. One was a blt. The bacon was cold and not cooked! I had to come home, cook the bacon and reassemble the sub. I have been shopping at Publix since the 1970's (I lived in Fl). Never have I had such poor service. I will never get bacon on a sub from them again, and definitely avoid this location. Very disappointed

    Thanks for the reminder!

Shout out to the Publix Kelly Rd, Apex for having such a wonderful environment. To have employees that consistently go out of their way in kindness to me, Thank you for being so nice behind the masks. I honestly am greeted, asked if I need assistance, acknowledged and of course, asked if I need help out to my car Every time. Employees have even suggested sale items while they are stocking. :) Truly appreciated. As a busy working mom I never mind stopping in on my way home for great fresh produce, yummy bakery treats, pop corn chicken at sub bar and pre made dinner kits in meat/seafood.

Nice place. Deals are pretty good here also. Great bakery. And the seafood selection is really good also. You can request seafood to have shipped in. The aisle in the store are very wide. Lots of fresh produce here. Also you do t need a member card for deals here.

They get the straight five. I mean, I'm in North Carolina and eating decent store made sushi, as if I were at Foodland (you know which ones). Staff is Southern friendly and the ones I've been in are clean. Oh their Pretzel bread is the bomb.

Since this location is new, it is very clean. The staff is somewhat new but even if they don't know they answer, they will find someone who does. And if you stare at the meat section too long, someone always comes out to offer help. Most items are average price - cheaper than Whole Foods but more expensive than Food Lion. We come here often for their sandwiches and desserts. Sandwiches are priced like sub restaurants, but are also at that quality. And it just makes it convenient to pick up snacks , drinks, and desserts while you are there.

    Yes they sell Tabasco

Since my last visit I've had much better customer service. Maybe the woman I interacted with went back to whatever pharmacy she came from.

The bathrooms are clean, and the staff do all sorts if things to make my life easier, like how the Seafood department can steam my fish for me.

When I saw their pastries, I knew I wanted to taste them so I got some doughnuts, cookies and croissants. The doughnuts looked like cake doughnuts but once you bite into them, they are the most fluffy, yeast circular confection that melts in your mouth. I will definitely get more. No wonder there was only a few left and it was only 10:00 on a Tuesday. Another item I tried is cookies. It looked sweet but it wasn't so I didn't feel bad giving them to my children. Prices are pretty decent and choices too. The cold pasta, tortellini, ravioli of different filling are good options to feed picky eaters. If they don't like eggplant, they will actually eat it. To my surprise, the big hit with my children are the Gorgonzola walnut tortellini and the 5cheeses. If you enjoy European chocolate, good place to get some and they often have sales by the look of it. Cashier is friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Definitely will be back!

Shelves were well-stocked, produce looked fresh enough, and checkout was quick without the usual chaos. The beer selection? Decent, though noticeably different from what I'm used to up in NY--fewer familiar picks, more regional swaps. That said, I did a double take spotting Pink Whitney on the shelf. Didn't expect that here, and honestly, it earned them a few bonus points.

First pass through produce and I'm already mentally planning three meals. Chinese broccoli (gai lan), Green papayas, Green mangoes, Garlic chives, Thai eggplants, culantro--stacked like they knew I was coming. And then the unexpected jackpot: baby mangoes. Not something you casually stumble upon, and definitely the kind of find. The store itself is clean, well-organized, and surprisingly easy to navigate given how deep the inventory goes. Only tiny hiccup: no Thai basil on this visit. Not a dealbreaker, but the one missing piece in an otherwise near-perfect haul. (I'll forgive it this time because... baby mangoes.)

Review for H Mart H…read moreMart is one of my favorite Korean grocery stores--ever. I remember when they first opened locations in the Bay Area in places like San Francisco and San Jose, and I would gladly make the trek just to shop there. I've never been disappointed. The stores are always clean, organized, and full of incredible food options. What really makes H Mart special, though, is that it's more than just a grocery store--it's an experience. Inside this massive market, you'll find a bakery, authentic Korean food stalls, and restaurant-quality meals being made fresh. It's honestly amazing to walk into a grocery store and have access to food that tastes like it came straight from a restaurant kitchen. Because I travel frequently for work across the Southeast--covering a pretty large region--I'm always on the lookout for an H Mart whenever I'm near one. I've been lucky to have access to locations like Cary, North Carolina, and the one in Buford outside Atlanta, which serves a large and vibrant Asian community. Whenever I'm within a reasonable driving distance--usually within about 10 miles--I make a point to stop in and enjoy a delicious, authentic Korean meal that's made to order and very reasonably priced. I've brought friends and colleagues with me, and they've all been blown away by the food stalls. My personal go-to: * LA galbi (Korean short ribs)--if it's on the menu, I'm ordering it * All the little banchan side dishes--I absolutely love them * Fresh seafood options, including live crab and fish that can be cleaned and prepared for you * A stop at the bakery for dessert--think croissant donuts, almond pastries, or a beautiful layered crepe cake Some locations--even the ones I visited years ago on the West Coast--would steam or fry seafood for you right there, which makes dinner incredibly convenient. Another thing I appreciate is the cleanliness. This store truly rivals places like Whole Foods in terms of organization and quality, even while handling live seafood. The parking lots are typically spacious, well-maintained, and easy to navigate. I also love browsing the aisles for specialty ingredients you can't find everywhere. For example, they carry my favorite laksa noodles, which remind me of a Malaysian dish I fell in love with while visiting a friend in Mauritius. It's always fun to discover unique items like that. The staff--both in the grocery store and at the food stalls--are friendly and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. Bottom line: If you're anywhere near Cary, North Carolina--or even the Buford, Georgia area--do yourself a favor and make a beeline to H Mart. As a lifelong foodie, I truly believe: Life is too short not to eat well.
