One of the best meals of our Trip! We loved the lunch. Food, service and atmosphere were excellent. Reservations a must. Fun part of the city to walk around. Tasting menu was perfect. We posted photos of the crackers, salad and main course, all excellent.

Wow! This is probably one of my favorite meals on the trip. Definitely top three for sure! We were…read morerecommended to come here by the staff of our hotel and I'm definitely glad we did. They specialize in traditional Belgian dishes, such as Beef Stew. We were looking for something local and authentic like this! We did find a reservation day of and were able to book it. The food was amazing. I loved the meatballs appetizer and beef stew! So good. They had a cute little outside deck area, which was super nice to eat out on in the great weather. If you can get a reservation here, I highly recommend a come!

Came here on a rainy evening, seeking shelter from the spitting rain. Since I was only in Ghent for…read moreone night, I wanted to find some traditional Belgian fare. This place seemed very cozy and fancy, with candles on tables and fairy lights, and people seemed to be having a great time. Moreover, it served a traditional Flemish beef stew, so I walked right on in! Fortunately, they were able to squeeze me in for an hour. I ordered the Flemish beef stew, which had around 6-8 chunks of beef and a small dill-flavoured side salad. It also came with a plate of fries - and when offered the mayo, I instantly accepted to try things the "Belgian" way. The stew was good at first bite, but I grew tired of it halfway through. It was very salty and strong of acidic red wine, and some of the beef chunks were still tough and under braised. The fries were a bit soggy and too thin to be considered typically Belgian fries. For 30 EUR, it was slightly disappointing... but it appears most things in Ghent are quite expensive. The servers there are quite young but very kind and welcoming. I had no issues with the service. What irked me the most was the water situation. I felt pressured to order something, so asked for water. Out came a 20mL glass bottle - just enough for 4 sips of water - and they charged me a whopping 3.5 EUR for this tiny baby. Unbelievable... left a bad taste in my mouth.
