I booked this unit on 07/13/2025, the manager was fully aware that I couldn't move in until 08/02/25 and claimed there was no other available units and I would need to make my payment and secure my spot right then and there! At no point did anyone tell me that I needed to go to the unit to break the seal and lock it until August. Today 07/28/25, I received a call from Keila with this information. I sent someone over to the unit to do exactly that, that person immediately sent me pictures of the unit and asked, "you even know what you just rented?" I called Keila back and I asked if there was another unit in better conditions as I will not be moving my furniture into that unit on Saturday, she pretty much told me that I would have to wait to go in person on Saturday and see what can be done... pretty much no guaranteed solution to the problem! I clearly do not live in West Palm, it isn't just a trip down the road for me! If I would've waited until Saturday I would be pulling up in a U-Haul with all my furniture and potentially not even having a unit that's in decent conditions available for me... so to avoid any further frustration. I asked her to just close out my account out! With no care in the world, she simply told me that her manager said that there's nothing that they can do and they would refund me for the lockbox. This facility cheated me out of $100 for a place I never even been to, let alone stepped in or stored absolutely anything in. The pictures attached are the conditions of their storage units. EDIT: I received a rude call today from Chantel, the PROPERTY MANAGER accusing me of lying, and with an attitude speaking over me, or not letting me complete my sentences. She also threatened with auctioning my belongings on the 20th, as if I was intending to purposely leave a delinquent account. Chantel also hung up the phone on me when I started to defend myself. I want to state that my payment is late ONLY because I refuse to pay, or give this company more of my money until the district Manager Jeanie gives me a call back & offers a reasonable inconvenience credit. I have left the district manager several voicemails & still no call back. Companies like these it's better off reporting them to BBB & with the State (which will be my next step) in order to receive a productive response. I am a very kind & patient person. I have been nothing but understanding & nice to this staff. This whole experience is completely disrespectful. To trigger my emotional state & mental well-being is uncalled for & unethical. ORIGINAL REVIEW:Today is the second day I come to pick some stuff up from my unit & the door does not unlock. This is unacceptable. Unless you want everything you own and stored here to be either destroyed, covered and rat feces and like us probably have to have our movers discard everything STAY AWAY!!! After 3 price increases with the latest being $510/month for the last 8 months since storing our belongings and life here for 3 years our movers opened the door to this. In addition, they do not maintain the units with pest control and with all of this damage you need animal control to handle this if not up to including the building(s) being condemned. I don't know how we are going to be made whole let alone have irreplaceable 3 generation solid wood cherry furniture restored and cleaned. Monday will be the start of a very very long day and I fear months, perhaps years long battle. I will be starting with the health department, attorney general, management and will probably need to go up the ladder, and I pray it doesn't get that far, an attorney. This place is a dump!!! Don't store anything of value! Definitely not climate controlled. Full of cockroaches and mice. Customer service is completely lacking. Absolutely travesty of a storage with in days rats ate up equipment I had stored. When confronted about it manager was completely unprofessional. Called xmer service, they said they'll have dm call me never did. Contacted him on linkedin, had someone else call me to tell me I was s.o.L. Told them I'll be outside their business with a sign telling the world they have rats unless they reimburse me and refund me the unit cost. Public Storage is a scam. I signed up for their Fall 50% Off sale in November 2023 and was promised by the person assisting me that the unit price would not go up for at least a year or more. They have already raised my rate twice. This company does the bait and switch. They lie to get you to sign up, but once you are signed up and locked into your contract, they say there is nothing they can do about the rates getting higher. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! My cousin got a storage with them and in the matter of three days they stole all of her stuff and took everything then when we went to Plato's closet her clothes and some shoes was in there for sale . That is beyond disgusting and unprofessional after saying they gave her stuff away . Now after giving her the wrong storage and not correcting . She called every single day for 4 months even when was broken she found a to call them and they have on hold after someone finally got in contact with her after 4 months then said they cannot help her get her stuff back they auction everything she her whole life in the storage because she was moving she had ALLLLL OF HER CLOTHES IN THERE , WIGS , BABY STUFF FOR HER NEWBORN ( who is now 1 month ) her tv , bed frame , mattress,a lot of stuff for her new house and yet it's all gone it was more than $5000 worth of stuff in there and then they said they were going to issue out a check for $100 like that pathetic yall need to do better than that I don't know yall are still in business . I just moved to West Palm Beach and needed a storage for my washer/dryer and extra items that don't fit in my apartment. Upon arrival, I couldn't figure out how to get in, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. They showed me the correct codes to get in, and opened up my space for me. So apparently this place has had a rat problem for 4 years and the owner still hasn't handled it properly. The owner is making the manager sweep up rat feces before any new tenant moves in to hide the infestation. This is our stuff after only one month. We walked in today and the entire hallway reeked like rat feces and urine. There were hundreds of rat droppings in the wallway before we even got into our unit. We found decomposing rats stuck to our like new fold out couch, and in various boxes that were not sealed. Cockroaches walking around. We had to wear N95 masks to get our stuff. We brought it up to the property manager and she informed us they know of the problem but advised us that if were to vacate, to vacate before the 31st, as the owner will not refund us. We are paying 242 a month for this rat infestation, and now we have lost over $1000 in possessions due to urine and feces and dead's rats decomposing on our furniture. It's disgusting. These places are individually owned I think as there is a single owner on this property. Another thing. Don't be fooled when they say climate controlled. We discovered yesterday that no units are climate controlled but "air controlled" and that they are working on getting climate controlled units within the next 6 months. My contract says climate controlled and I paid extra for climate controlled, not rat controlled. Rat droppings were EVERYWHERE. On all of our stuff. All boxes, furniture, everywhere. This storage unit was cheaper than other places and there is a reason why. You get what you pay for. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. we will be following up with the EPA as well and the health department. It's a lot worse than it looks. Trust me. It's dangerous. Literally pick any other storage unit. We're moving all our stuff to a better, cleaner, safer place. update. we haven't heard from the owner yet. There have been last instances I've discovered. where the insurance doesn't even pay for losses. ADVICE if you are considering renting a storage unit here or at any other location with this company. 1. It is MANDATORY that you buy insurance. (Anywhere from $11 to $15 per month). No one advised me in writing or verbally in advance that this would be an expense added to the monthly rental rate. 2. "Indoor" unit is NOT THE SAME as "Climate Controlled". Indoor unit is just a space inside a building that appears to have been constructed in 1950 and has NEVER BEEN CLEANED. It is filthy. Oh . . . when you move out, the unit must be "clean" LOL! 3. Public Storage can INCREASE your monthly rate ANYTIME THEY WISH. They will give you 30 days notice. However, there is no reliance on the rate at all. Thus a special promotion rate can last as little as 2 months from your move in and then they can increase the rate. 4. Although the employees were fairly pleasant, this company does not even remotely adhere to Best Business Practices! 5. What this company calls a "reservation" and/or a "lock in" does not exist. They use those words, when in reality you only have an ACTUAL BINDING commitment on a size or space outdoors/indoors/climate controlled when you physically go to their office and pay for everything! Thus, if you want to rent a space and have it actually "reserved" for you, you MUST GO IN TO THE OFFICE AND PAY FOR EVERYTHING. read more

This place is horrible! The employees have no idea what they are doing. They moved me into a unit that was bigger then the one I had reserved, and then moved me two more times. It was a huge mess, and the move in process that should have taken maybe 20 minutes took hours! After all of that, they offered no sympathy for their mistakes. I have since recieved daily calls saying I have money due because everything on my account is so messed up from them moving me around due to their mistake. Don't waste your money! Indoor unit was dirty and I was told I would have a lock in unit day of move in. Went into unit and was disgusted by how dirty it was. No lock in site unit was only a 4x10 went to office and the employee said check again ( ummmmm ok ) went back and check again lol like an idiot and sure enough still no lock. Went back to office and an employee finally followed me to unit and gave me a lock. That was a waste of 20 minutes. Only put 2 boxes in unit that day and by night fall I removed them. Unit has been empty since day 1. Tried calling office numerous time to cancel rental but no answer only voicemail. This place is trash. read more

I have had 3 different storage units at this facility since the early 2000's, with each unit getting larger as I accumulated more stuff. The rent is constantly increasing about every 6 months. My current unit (10X30) was badly maintained, with the siding above the sliding garage door flapping in the breeze, able to see daylight into my space. I complained about the upkeep, and nothing was done for several months. Finally after more complaints, the siding was badly fixed..........and my rent was ENCREASED once again. I wish I could move out, but it would be quite the chore. Beware if you plan to rent for long term! read more

i was a former employee with this company and i can tell you truthfully that this location has the best property manger. she is great. she has really cleaned the place up from what it was. my advice to anyone is to always get an ac unit. if the stuff is that important to you that you want to spend money each month to store it do ruin it by storing it outside in the horrible Florida climate it will ruin you stuff fast then you realize. read more
