The worst storage place I have ever been to, there are no directions of numbers or labels, the hallway is way too narrow for the cart to make turns. It's like a Tomb Maze. This must be a fire hazard, doors labeled as "emergency fire exit" are just pathways to more storage units. It's impossible to bring things in and out. DO NOT RENT A STORAGE UNIT AT THIS PLACE! Lasted 1 month with a 5x10 for $200 a month with "climate control". In 4 visits I have nothing but aggravation with entering the 7 digit passcode FIFTY TIMES because I took 6 seconds to grab my boxes/cart and the elevator/door closed. If you are not fast enough you will get locked in the elevator. Beyond irritating. I had it with this place. Was forced to rent their lock for $40 bucks on top of the rental. The air conditioning is not throughout the building either. Once you go through a door it is the same temps outside as it is in. Getting my stuff and leaving. lets see what nonsense they throw at me for only renting a space for 2 months. read more

I have been renting from this place for two years. I moved my stuff in and we have been back briefly a couple times to add some of our not so valuables. Last week I arrived around 5pm and tried to use the bathroom only to be locked. I went up to my storage area, got a shelf, and then went around to ask to use the bathroom. The girl was abrupt with me and said were closing in a couple hours so i locked the bathroom. Abruptly said i cannot use her bathroom and to go back around. Today, I went to leave two boxes of invoices and when up in the storage facility, removed the documents from 2020 but now the trash was locked. I tried to open it and noticed the right side was not actually locked well. As i am tossing the first box of invoices the same women comes out. She says, "what are you doing", "do you not see the sign, what is wrong with you". Claimed I cursed at her when i used the F word in a sentence. The sign did not specify that the sign was not for tenants. When i explained to her last week the bathrooms were locked and I assumed you locked this early this time, she responded, "this is not a restaurant". Someone needs to teach this women how to speak to people as each time I asked her a question she had a sly remark and claimed innocence to abrupt responses. Maybe if she just came out and said hey sir, that is not for tenants or the trash actually had a sign on it. The bathrooms should be accessible whenever the facility is open. It takes a long time to get through all the gates, codes, locks on carts and other sensible security. You could be there an hour just making two trips up, filling a storage facility takes hours. read more

I had to BLOCK her, this place is a joke do NOT store your stuff in here, read all the reviews first, or you will be sorry. I spoke to the most unprofessional person at the The front Desk, the ditzy receptionist is a JOKE, she told me she was the owner, and lied to me pretending the computers are down, and I can only pay cash, ... really ? so when I reached out to another Cubesmart worker over at Deer Park they told me the computers are working fine. Also, she sends out constant letters announcing that they are SELLING ALL your stuff off , and that they are charging you another 150 dollars, and God forbid If you by any chance are a little late with your payment. That's another 150 dollars. (Even if u call ahead of time). They just keep putting fees on the bill. Is this legal hmmm? They charge me $90 3 days after invoice is due every single month with fees. $90 and im not even a full week late. then in the same month, they send me a lien notice. Then, in the same month, they send me a fine against the lien notice and warning to sell my belonging in the next couple of weeks. all this and i am not even a month late yet. they want everyone to default so they can steal your belongings in a "fake auction". this company is disgusting. this is all happening now in New York where I cannot go back to my business. my entire business is in that storage and because i cant pay one month, they are going to steal it all. DO NOT RENT A SPACE HERE, your stuff isn't safe at all. I rented a outdoor storage unit thinking my personal belongings would be safe. First they raised the rent almost a hundred dollars, then all the outside storage units where broken into ,I had personal stuff stolen that can not be replaced. The gate is broken half the time, on top of that there are no lights in the back at night time. So it's pitch black back there. It's like a welcome sign for thieves. They raised the rent on everyone ,you would think they could add some lights in the back. Of course not why would they. So I told the manager if you don't wave my late fee and get my rent back down to what it was I'm leaving. They couldn't do either. So I moved my stuff out. And they still call me to pay rent after telling them my stuff is out. They can kiss my ass. I also seen people with back packs walking inside the building right before the gates lock at 9pm. I believe people are also living inside some of the inside storage units. Your stuff definitely isn't safe at this location. Renters beware. Please look at the pictures above of the break in. They rent them cheap at first, then increase the rent every 6 months or so until you can't take it anymore and have to move everything out. I got a 10x10 around $170/month. 2 years later it's $240 and they're still renting them for about $170 to anyone new. Guess what - it doesn't last. And $1 for the first month? False. It's more accurately $1 from the day you book it until the 7th of the month when their billing cycle begins. Everyone else in the western hemisphere considers a month to be 30 or 31 days, maybe 28 every once in a while. Not on planet Public Storage. read more

I was shocked by previous reviews. Even though I just moved in, I find this location clean, easy access and designed well. You do have to key in code to enter building and area your unit is located but that has to be due to theft. The location manager was personable and accommodating. read more

Renter Beware!! They rope you in with low rental rates. What they do not tell you up front is that after 6 months rent is increased by almost 20%. I called them on this matter and I got a ridiculous response of it is normal for the rent to increase after 6 months stay, and then it will be once a year after that. I was told most people do not stay that long so it doesn't effect them. REALLY??? I am in the customer service industry for many years, This is underhanded and a terrible business practice. Absolute worst experience. I had to vacate my house due to extensive damage from Sandy. The first unit was so bad the door would not lock. All you had to do was push the door to the left and it would slide right open even with the lock on it. I lost almost a month because i could not use the unit. Did i get a credit? NO! They refused! I was put into a different unit ONLY after I paid for the month I wasnt able to use the first unit! A month later I went to the first unit with the broken door, It was rented and never fixed! I was able to slide the locked door right open! Nice huh.. All they care about is how much they can rip you off! RUN as fast as you can from this place... read more

Property has gone downhill since my initial review. Sliding entrance door have been broke for a week. No carts available when I went to place items on the third floor of my $180 unit. Asked management and they said they only had 2 carts for a 600 unit facility. No immediate plans to add carts and when I asked why they don't lock them up, they said management doesn't want to do that. read more

My aunt passed away, and I had to rent two units to store all her belongings. Juliette, the manager, was so helpful and considerate during such a difficult time. She showed me the property and explained everything in detail, answering all of my questions. I am confident that should I need anything else, she would be the one to call! The property is clean and neat. The only drawback is the 9pm cut off time. Other properties allow access later than that. read more

I can't make turns sharp since I have a cruiser so I need a unit near elevator and lone I said nobody had one. So Andrea said she would take my number and keep a eye out for me so I was thinking yea ok sure you will!!!!! BEWARE & HEED THIS WARNING...Juliette (the store manager) is a scam artist. A wolf in sheeps clothing. At first she seems nice like she wants to help but in all reality she's just trying to have you spend every dollar she can suck outta you starting with the lies of the storage being just $1 the first month to you needing to buy plastic covers for your furniture. Run. Paid my storage 30 days late (including the late charges) in July. The next month (August) when I went to pay the rent for my unit I'm told that my stuff was sold in auction. Why, how is that possible I asked. -I was up to date! I was told that when I paid my storage late in July I also had to pay for August as well and because I didn't they sold my stuff. What???? I told them that when I paid for July why didn't Juliette make me aware that I had to pay August??? Bulls*%# A few days later I get a bill in the mail telling me that I'm being charged for them auctioning my stuff. They robbed me and now are charging me for it. One time I threw 3 shoe boxes and a lamp out in their garbage and Juliette called me up to tell me that if I don't come down and take my stuff out their garbage by 6pm that they were going to fine me. Wtf??? Renters aren't allowed to use their garbage?!?? This place is a rip off. Their system sucks. Don't do it to yourself. read more

This place is a rip off. Didn't have time to shop around so we stopped in here. We had about 4 boxes we needed to store for a short period of time. We were told only larger units left but we would get first month free and by then they would have a smaller unit. Stored our boxes (winter clothing) and didn't think much of it. That is until we received a phone call saying our credit card pymt did not go threw. I owed them $400. They never called me about the smaller unit. I spoke with Craig who I believe is the DM. I have been in the customer service business for over 30 years. Craig informed me that he has a signed contract from me and there is nothing I can do about it. True. My fault I should have called to inquire about the smaller unit. I just think it's funny how they promise you one thing and do another. What ever happened to someone keeping their word. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU GO HERE. I also out or curiosity called about 4-5 other storage units in the area and the most they charge for a climate controlled unit (mine wasn't) was $300.
