AVOID!!! I received a phone call from someone named "Stella" at 818-495-0944 regarding access to my storage unit. Apparently, this individual left a voicemail message on my phone, and I am quite certain that this was done in an effort to avoid documentation after receiving my September 2024 rent. It appears that they utilize this strategy in an attempt to acquire people's money for the month before kicking them out. I was cornered and bullied today regarding my presence on the property and was ranted to in an emotionally-fueled manner by an employee about me being around the premises too much, as I come in once every couple days (sometimes once a day) due to my current living situation, as I do not have a stable place at the moment. Look, I know that I am Kerry Moynihan, this world-renowned scholar and political activist who is known for writing some of the most controversial works of the 21st century; after all, there is an "empire" of individuals who have devoted their lives to stopping my legacy. I am aware that Diazians are a thing and that these individuals retaliate against me because they believe that my work has managed to prevent girls from being raised to sexually select men with financial resources. Many people in Los Angeles look up to Diaz as a revolutionary political figure, and are also tricks/clients of his, since he owns all women in LA. I understand that females probably *should* be raised to select men with financial resources, but this was, of course, not the way I was raised. This is why my parents' -- who are also political revolutionaries -- names are continuously utilized as aliases as Diazians fight to bring back traditional culture. Countless individuals who consider themselves to be Diazians have spoken out against me and have collected various documents, pictures, etc. in retaliation for all of the cultural chaos I have caused in Los Angeles, particularly as that chaos pertains to sex and gender. Indeed, I understand that my politics has seriously damaged many lives. I am writing this after engaging in several sociopolitically-based conversations at my job at Westchester Vons, a job I have since left due to the corruption that I experienced. Nevertheless, I am unaware as to how any of this has anything to do with me having a storage unit at Public Storage. The political opinions of the staff should have absolutely nothing to do with whether I have a storage unit at this facility. I am fully aware that a pimp/sociopolitical figure like Diaz has been embraced by the Venice Beach culture because he stands for sex and pimping women and this is something that most of the people in this culture enjoy and appreciate, particularly if that individual is a finesse pimp. To reiterate, I seem to be the only person in Los Angeles that does not idealize this individual or the principles that he stands for. The bottom line here is that Public Storage was giving me an attitude today about having a space at their facility and passive-aggressively decides to leave a voicemail about "calling them for entry" to use the space -- as if they are paying ME to use the space! Yes, perhaps I do need a man with "resources" since it is impossible to live in this city without having one of those. I do not particularly like that idea, but I understand that it is a core component of the personality of most females in Los Angeles, which is why I have been either shunned or retaliated against by so many people in this city. Since I am a trained intellectual and my work has clearly either inhibited or demolished many lives, I was expecting the retaliation. Perhaps one day I will "see the light" so-to-speak and have a shift in personality so that I conform to cultural expectations. As of right now, however, it appears that I am quite the sinner that cannot conform to gender roles. Public Storage either wants my money or they don't. If they do not want my business, then I will happily go elsewhere. If this company is going to insist on having staff that bully customers over their political activism and then leave passive aggressive voicemail messages as a result then I will happily go elsewhere. Further, if you are going to keep my things from me or are only going to allow me to access my things whenever I call someone or something then I will go somewhere where the staff behave professionally. I paid today for another month and the retaliation I received after this payment surely must have been an intentional move on the part of this corporation, as they want to be sure that they have my money before asserting control over me. This company is on the verge of losing a customer, and if the employees here are going to be yet other people who act smart with me over my politics then I will go elsewhere once I receive a refund and I fully document everything that occurred today. I stress the point that this Public Storage location is currently withholding my belongings from me after I paid rent for the month. read more

Why do I say that? --not just from my personal experience , yet from my observation with others whenever I go by. I don't use this company and I never will. During the worst drought in modern California history, this company ran their sprinklers for days at a time to try to get folks from the community from sleeping on the sidewalks behind their property on 3rd Ave. The opposite block from where their entrance is, behind a fence. There's no access to their property here. No near an entrance. After many complaints to LA Dept of Water and Power, they were forced to stop wasting all of this water in their passive-aggressive attempts to "clean the streets." (Also, the law is clear that folks can sleep on the sidewalk). I learned tonight that this company is now power-washing those same sidewalks. 3 days a week, at 6am. It's really sad that a company would go to these extremes to punish already marginalized folks. During my interaction with Customer Service Agent Juliet, I was met with rudeness and even raised voices. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also quite distressing. Customer service should be about helping and supporting customers, and it was clear that Juliet lacked the necessary skills to do so. I believe that individuals in customer service roles should possess a certain level of professionalism and empathy, which was sorely missing in this instance. Great Customer Service! I needed to find a storage unit for my parents. I had been told that there was a 10X10 unit in the Venice Public Storage facility. When I got there, a nice man named Kevin showed me around. Unfortunately the unit was not right for our needs and we could not find the right sized space in their building. Keven went on his computer and found the perfect space at another Public Storage facility. He made a reservation and give me directions to the Public Storage facility nearby in the Marina. Keven was right, the space in the Marina facility was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks to this nice young man, I can move my parents down to this area and keep their things safe. Improvement on the illegal dumping and clean up! The neighborhood is happy about the change that is occurring near the exit of Public Storage on 3rd. Less dumpsites means less people temped to dump their belonging from the storage units. A big improvement. I then chose to downsize, and Michael was the representative who gave me advice, and also was most courteous. Long time customer at this location,and I must say that my favorite part would be the staff. Lets face it, moving and storage is not the greatest thing in the world but the staff makes all the difference. They are super helpful, nice, and well trained, they make things that much easier. This storage facility has been using cruel and wasteful tactics to harass the homeless people of the community. They have been running their sprinklers excessively and wastefully to try and deter the homeless from public sidewalks, which they have zero right to manage or control.
