Must have had an overhaul because I have nothing but great things to say about this location! Place is tidy, well lit, and the guys in the office are extremely helpful and professional. [Someone posted about drug use and I just don't see that happening with these two gentlemen, must have been a bad day for that customer but who knows]. My only "complaint" is the far walk to the restroom but its always clean! Push carts in the office to help with heavy items, optional insurance to ensure protection in case of any incidents which thankfully I've yet to experience, and a very secure specialized lock to keep my things secured. The guys are on the lot constantly! Don't hesitate to ask one of them for help with your door, or a burned out bulb etc. Really happy my friend and I have a space here! read more

I chose this location since it was close to my old apartment and easy to access the freeway. The move in process was a shell game and I changed my reservation 3 times to get a good deal via the web site. The office starts off really nice but quickly becomes unprofessional. First of all storage carts are not easily accessible. You have to check them in and out of the office and get them back before the office closes. They will call and nag you all day asking if they can have the cart back. Doors are difficult to keep open and are propped open with rocks from the nearby hill. Exterior lights at night are sporadic and glow faintly when they do pop on for 30 seconds. Birds fly in and out of the units. I am expecting to find bird poop all over my boxes. They discourage personal locks but I insisted I use my own cylinder lock from the last time I used Public Storage. Every time I entered or exited the gate I got an electric shock. (I doubt it is properly grounded). While I was looking for a new apartment after a job layoff I would get calls from the storage office. I always thought something was wrong. Nope - just time to get nagged. "You left the gate late two times this month - 1 and 5 minutes late after closing time." Payment requests multiple times over and over. Etc, etc. Honestly they become über caring and that in turn is a sort of annoyance. They may get you in at a cheaper rate but expect them to recoup that fee in rate hikes, late fees and the inability to move out mid payment cycle (There is no way to get a prorated refund on the rent. They reminded me it was in my lease.) Thankfully I am moving my stuff out at the end of the cycle. Do yourself a favor, choose another location in Valencia. There are other locations that may charge a bit more, but you get what you pay for. read more

Nice property and friendly employees, however; they don't tell you about all the hidden fees until the end! The unit was supposed to be $79/month, and the first month was only $1. What they DON'T tell you 'til the end is that you also have to pay an additional $9/month for insurance, a one-time $22 administration fee, and you have to purchase their lock for $18. They do not allow you to use your own lock. So really, the storage unit is $88/month (not $79 as I was told), and there were $40 in fees. Again, it's a nice facility, but they rip-off customers! read more

I had a confirmed reservation and and appointment for an rv spot. I spoke with the store rep the day before to confirm my reservation and do I need to leave a deposit, credit card she said no its not needed, she said we will see you tomorrow. The morning of my reservation I picked up my rv and drove it to the storage facility. As I was checking in the representative told me she rented my confirmed reservation spot out last night to a walk-in customer and there wasn't anything else available. She said she did a courtesy check of the other local public storage locations, nothing was available and there wasn't nothing else she could do. I asked why how can you rent out a space that was reserved, she it was a walkin. I asked "so having a reservation dosent mean anything". She said it was a walking. So I then asked why couldn't you have called me to let me know that you rented my spot out so I wouldn't have brought out my rv. No answer. I asked for the manager, she gave me the regional managers number and of course they are only there Monday thru Friday. So I left a msg for her to call me back. We will see. I looked at the disclaimers and policies on their website nothing specific. So I'm out an rv space now I have to find another location that is close by. read more

My sister rented a unit a week ago and we just decided to move some stuff today and found mouse droppings all over the unit we went to make a claim at the admin office and the person in charge said that's part of nature and that she could offer a different unit, smaller, for $30/month more. My sister declined and as we haul everything back, this lady comes back saying she can offer the smaller unit for the same price as the original. When my sister goes to check it out, same problem, mouse droppings in there too. Solution according to Public Storage: my sister can give up the unit but she will get $0 refunded to her. Nice way to treat a brand new customer! Yes, it's part of nature but they could handle the situation much more efficiently by CLEANING! And keeping all entrances closed, and adding more bait. At least clean the unit you are renting out to a new customer! read more

Joann was very informative and gave me all the information I needed to make an informed decision on my storage needs. I've had my things in this Public Storage since April 2015. At that time it was $75 a month for my 5 x 7 spot. They are not open 24 hours and sometimes the staff just isn't there even during business hours. By November 2015 my rent had increased to $81. October 2016 it went up again to $90 and now it's up again, Oct. 2017, to $99/month for my same 5 x 7 spot. There are so many choices in Valencia it seems ridiculous to me that anyone would put up with such rate increases when other facilities offer more for less money per month. I will be moving my things out of Public Storage and into a new facility this month. read more

If I could rate lower than one star, I would give a -10. This location has a rodent problem and fail to take preventive measures to address. We parked a car in their storage - they saw the cover coming off and never bothered to adjust it. Rats ate through the car's transmission wires, which costs us almost $1,000 to repair. When we called the location and the district manager Clare - they refused to acknowledge the problem and said it would our problem to figure out and fix. My next note is to the Better Business Bureau. read more

Last week, I was assisting a young friend that will be moving into her first condo on March 1st, 2018. As she is preparing to move in, she rented a storage unit from the Public Storage in Valencia. I went with her to pick up a used table she had purchase online. After working all day, we went to the valley, picked up the table and chairs, went to drop off the storage unit. Went to leave and found ourselves locked into the property. We tried the code a few times and a car behind us also tried theirs (the time was 9:01pm). No Luck! We looked for the over ride and it was locked, we called the police and they could not help, we called a gate company and they said with all releases locked we would not be able to get out. I walked over to the office - no emergency contact number. They have this vinyl sign that states leave before 9pm but the 800 number listed only goes to a voice mail. We were trapped for over 45 mins - ended up calling the Fire Department that has the ability to override the entry code. Why would there not be an emergency number on the code box and not just the comment "See Manager"?? I think this policy of locking the gates right at 9pm is not smart but I also think they need to post "Gates close at 9pm) inside the doors to the storage units and not just the gates coming in and leaving. (small print). Also post a contact number for emergencies! Note - The Fire Department stated that this happened before. I was not going to leave the truck there! read more

The contract was explained page by page and was easy to understand. Lisette was able to accommodate our trailer storage needs. However did not have the size storage space available to suite our needs. She then checked another facility and referred us to that location. Poor customer service from the person behind the counter to the District Manager. DO NOT PUT YOUR FINANCIAL INFORMATION IN AUTO PAY! Also - if they try to sell you insurance, which they will, and will bully you saying it is mandatory - check your homeowner's or rental policy, usually has a 10% value for items stored away from your home - no need for their high policy premiums, which add to your monthly price. Hidden costs all over! Storage business next to Lowes on Bouquet Canyon has up front pricing (nothing hidden) and a lovely staff... in the end you will have a better experience. read more

Went to go look at the unit and Tara had Milan show me the unit and facility. Both girls were great, friendly and helpful with all the questions I had. Was looking for a unit other than the basement an received a call the next day regarding the availability. Arranged for a move in day and received a reminder follow up phone call. Recently rented a space here for our travel trailer and have been more than happy with the experience so far. We bought our trailer as as spontaneous purchase so we really had to find somewhere to store it fast. Called ALOT of storage facilities. Alot had no space, awful access hours, bad locations, 6month+ commitments or astronomical prices. Found this place and it had everything we could have asked for!! Great monthly rate, the BEST access hours, amazing customer service, great parking spaces(it was our first trailer so having a lot of space to maneuver and back into the spot was extreamly comforting!)and the location here is GREAT especially for anyone keeping an rv or trailer. With walmart and stater bros across the street its so easy to stock up and go. Their manager Austin was amazing from the very first call. He held the spot for me until i picked up the trailer from camping world, he worked with me through a few hiccups with the pickup schedule, and he has gone above and beyond to answer all my questions that ive had as well as called me to check that move in went well and if we were happy with everything. We may have only been her a couple weeks but we are extreamly happy so far! read more

Two stars , let me explain. This place is super clean and organized and the staff is attentive. When you walk in its obvious every employee goes to some Public Storage training class because they are like robots spewing forth the script they have rehearsed over and over and with me that's part of the problem. The hard sell and the CLOSER at a business do not work with me, my bulls@*t detector goes off. Why do I need the multi level marketing closer at a storage facility? very odd and if anyone from public storage reads this it doesn't work. The employees were great and did their job but I felt bad they had the recite this garbage the company forced them to do. I was walked to the unit which was clean and well lit but also more money then other places in SCV. Back in the office, now came the hard sell on boxes and tape.....really? I'm done. Sales scripts and the hard sell do not work with me....goodbye. I rented somewhere else and it was $22 cheaper per month. Nothing bad on the staff, they did what they are supposed to do. read more

I went in thinking I need a storage space. I didn't need storage space and I went back within 24 hours after signing my papers and I was told that I would not get a refund. I purchased a lock and some other items. I was not able to get a refund on the storage lock with keys that cannot be copied. Also, I went back after 30 days and could not return any of the other items that were still sealed in their original packages because it was after 30 days. In the meantime, I had purchased boxes and bubble wrap and various moving items from them. They were very slow to process the paperwork. All in all, I was disappointed and would never go to Public Storage or use their facility. When I originally thought about renting the storage space, the lady said that she only had 3 spaces left and they would go fast...she never said I could not rescind or cancel my contract. I would advise anyone to ask a lot of questions before signing anything. I did end up contacting the district manager and received a partial refund for the monthly storage space but they charged me for almost half of the month (even though it was with in 24 hours of cancellation) plus the unused keys and storage lock of $19.99, that can only be used at a storage facility. I do understand paying for the "new account" process fee of $24.00, that was their time to process the initial paperwork. I had no problem with that....Ridiculous to the other charges. read more
