When I started out the rent was $150 after 9 months the rent has doubled to $300. I called and talked with Erin and she said the reason the rent went up was because it was underpriced. She said she would have the district manager give me a call. Surprise the district manager never called and now no one answers the phone. The public storage that I currently have my stuff is 8201 W. 159th Street. I don't think the price should double within 9 months. It is ridiculous that the price can go up that much and that fast. There is no customer service at all. No one calls you back and then no one answers the phone. Very frustrating. read more

I rented a unit for $200 a month in December 2024. The rent kept increasing and is nowup to $487 a month. Besides the rent being jacked up there were gaps between the units, rodents droppings And mold growing all over my furniture so now I would not recommend this facility to anybody read more

I rented my unit at a rate at a rate $160 a month. 3 months later they raised it to $250. 2 years later it is at $310 a month. Do not rent from Public Storage - they will continuously raise your rates. read more

I originally had a reservation at Extra Storage, who I have to say, was right up there with excellent customer service. But typical me, I searched for a better price and decided to go out on a limb and try Public Storage. I only needed a unit for one month, and the rate was unbelievably reasonable. Drive up access, right when you get in the gate. It could not have been more convenient. I also have to say, the employees at this location were SO friendly and happy, it made the moving process very smooth. I know some friends and family that have had bad experiences, but mine could not have been better. read more

This location has tons of hidden fees like insurance and key purchase. They also make it very difficult to close out your account/storage unit. I recommend steering clear of this location and going to the place next door. read more

This location has the nicest staff--they're all very helpful. However, the facility is going downhill. Don't plan on finding a CART when you arrive to move in or out. There are only TWO CARTS in the entire facility. I can only imagine how annoying that is on weekends. It's also a shame that it isn't very clean anymore. The floors are dirty and I have seen the fire extinguishers missing from their broken, smashed housing. Sad and annoying but I think the Corporate Parent is to blame. Stay away, this location is horrible!! We had reserved two units for a total of $435 per month. They were supposed to open at 9:30. We arrived with two vehicles loaded and ready to move in. They were closed. I called local number and no answer, called the toll-free number and they were useless. At 9:55 someone arrived at the gate, didn't say a word to us. Drove in and then went into one of the storage units, we thought it was a customer. WRONG, it was the employee! She then comes and opens the door, no excuse or sorry I was late, attempts to turn on the computer. I then give her my information and then I get " if my computer was working I would be typing. Are you kidding me. Now before she attempts to call for help we can see her using her cell to not only text but to check on facebook. I called back the toll free number to cancel my reservations and asked for a manager, they gave me the regional manager for this area. I called and have not heard back. I walked next door to Extra Space Storage and they were able to take care of us. And my storage @ $435 per month for approx. 8 months, nice piece of business to lose. read more

After doing a considerable amount of research on places to store my belongings over the years, I was pleased to discover this particular Public Storage location. The property is very well maintained and I have had my items stored there for a considerable amount of time. Melissa is one of the best people you could hope to interact with in the realm of customer service. She is polite, helpful, understanding, and friendly. I never had any concerns or problems over the years, and should I ever need to store my belongings again, I wouldn't hesitate to select this location. After much consideration and shopping around for a storage unit, i called this facility many times, and visited the facility prior to renting. I was very pleased with the knowledge from the staff as well as the follow ups prior to my move in date. Crystal and Melissa are a awesome team together and are great additions to the Public Storage family. They were patient with me and assisted with a speedy move in seeing as though i was on the clock with a moving company (Marks Small Moving) they are a EXCELLENT moving company by the way. They showed me my unit and allowed my movers to move me in while i finished up my paperwork, and explained everything in detail. Helpful staff and reasonable rates. I have been having problems with my credit card (fruad and card holds), however Public Storage have sent me reminder messages and calls at helpful times and haven't been agressive when I forget to fix the problem as fast as we'd all like.
