Been stuck with them for years while my personal life is in limbo, with the rent creeping up and up for no reason. This location has issues, from the threshold of the building having a staggered entrance which caused multiple accidents with falling boxes and DAMAGE. To the door holder not working, and condensation or dehumidifier not working resulting in cardboard boxes being damp and caving in. Went with a rival company got twice the space for 1/2 the price! Final kick in the shins was I vacated 3 weeks early from next months rent with NO REFUND, so they get those weeks FREE. Thanks very little Public Storage, Public BEWARE!

I was only there for a bit over a year, and they raised prices quite a few times CSS was raising the price nearly every month for the last two-three months that I rented the unit. Understandably prices fluctuate and may raise over time, however raising rents multiple months in a row is frustrating, especially for a place where you are just storing items. The payment processing system is archaic. While conveniently allowing you to pay online, it doesn't allow you to pay a partial, or update auto-pay information if you want to use a different or new card.

Sadly, they were recently bought out by something called MyPlace Storage--the service is nonexistent; not open when they say they are; secure entry gate is broken and remains open; the garage door where you unload and load your belongings is broken and remains up; and, worse, the doors to the hallways leading to all the climate-controlled units are open to anyone and everyone. I will be looking for another storage facility now that Award has left the building ... Not recommended.

This storage facility was perfect for what I needed for a few months. I rented a climate controlled unit that included storing my cozy couch! Once I removed my things out of the unit, the items were exactly the same. If you rent a climate controlled unit -- you can only go into your storage unit during their business hours. Award Self Storage offers: a truck to move-in (did not use), along with several boxes and 2nd month rent for FREE! The facility sells boxes and such for typical moving needs. They also have carts inside the storage building to assist with moving items. Overall, this establishment did it's job and I had no issues while there. Also, the staff are nice and helpful when needed. Award Self Storage is 20 mins from Philadelphia which was a major plus!
