Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. They raised our rent not even 2 months into our lease, and the place is absolutely filthy. Despite trying our best to make sure everything was secured, our unit is infested with mice. We're about to move out of state, and all of our items are covered in mice droppings. We found a bag of rat poison that was placed in the unit, which the mice had found, but we weren't notified that there was a possible infestation. The quality control of this facility is absolutely embarrassing. read more

They never seem to answer calls there is supposed to be some one on site yet I've been here almost a year and I will say 90% of the time no one is to be found they dont answer the phone and calls back suck. read more

terrible company here, I got a storage unit on the 1st and never even went on the premises, I got in a car accident, so I couldn't move into a new place so I didn't need the storage anymore it's the 15th and I can't get any of my money refunded..... so I'm out a car, had to buy a new phone in tons pain and out $200 For a 10x10 I never seen wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy don't go here there's way better ones that will treat you like a human not a profit, wish I could give -stars. -99999/10 read more

The resident manager was wonderful, a really friendly and caring person. Regardless, I moved out in October 2024, because this greedy corporation raised the monthly rent on a 10' x 15' unit from $163 to $237 -- a more than 45% increase. Why? Because they can. :( read more

I'm not even making this review because I am angry or upset.. from the moment I moved in I knew it was a big mistake. It's been 6 months since I signed my lease and I'm just thankful that I didn't move entirely into this unit. I was here week ago, but today I open my unit to see rat feces on EVERYTHIg.. I am so grossed out I grabbed my coin book and my food saver (I'm throwing it out because im grossed out) there have been spiders all over and in my things webs up high, the unit was never cleaned out it's just discussing.. a waste of money when I haven't had any money to spare these guys are happy to rip up you off.. read more

The rents keep going up, first after six months and then at one year...?so every six months. The monthly fee fir a 10x15 is $240.09. There is also a 10 $ fee for paying by phone. It is very difficult to set up a auto pay on line if you have more than one unit and all rent is due on the first of the month... no way to change the date to co-inside with pay days. The cost is rediculous! The people are friendly and return your calls in a timely manner, and the facility is very clean. The business is not user friendly and the price increases are not fair. read more

If I could give negative stars, I sure would. This facility is infested with rats!!! Not only were my belongings covered in rat urine and rat feces, there was rat blood all over the place and all over my belongings. I have multiple pictures! The employees don't care, and failed to notify tenants when they rented to a hoarder (the employee's words to me), so that we could monitor or remove our belongings. Money was much more important. They didn't want to lose tenants! Lost tenants equals lost revenue. After contacting the company VP, since no one would return a call, Alexis Clark, district manager, promptly called me, promptly lied to me saying she didn't receive any of my messages, (been calling since March), and promised all my money back, but lied to me, again, and only refunded one month. I lost thousands of dollars of personal property, and there is zero accountability from these people. I was lied to and I was expected to believe those lies and be happy about it. Also, it appears that they retained my personal banking information, and that was not authorized by me. That information should have been purged upon the completion of my business with them. Do not store anything here. Also, the back wall of my unit abutted the one behind me. That wall does not connect to the side walls, leaving a large gap between the back and side walls. I was able to put my hand through there and touch the belongings in the other unit. If rats got into my unit, they got into the one behind mine. The insulated ceilings have giant holes where the rats run from unit to unit unabated. This company advertises "safe, secure, and clean" storage facilities. My experience is that they are NOT any of those three advertised things! I would hesitate to utilize any Public Storage, you can find many CLEAN, locally owned storage facilities. I give only 3 stars because public storage had raised my rent twice In a year. It went from $150 to $230. That's quite a jump in price in a year. The facility is clean and I will say they have great employees like Dale who was patient, kind and helpful when I lost my key and needed a lock smith to help me get it open. Other than high price increases, the facility is nice. read more

I reserved a storage unit online to store our belongings while we are moving to Oregon from out of state. I sent my son in a few days before we are to arrive to finalize everything. They do not have what we reserved and the reasoning is that the reservation does not hold a unit only the price. After reserving a 10x20 climate controlled they were only able to offer 2-10x10's (one would be climate controlled). The price for both of them was also going to run $452 per month rather than the $210 as listed on the internet. Our only other option would be to go to the other location and pay $214 for a 10X20 non climate controlled. This is simply misleading all the way around. You don't actually reserve units and you don't truly hold the rates either. What is the point of even doing online reservations to begin with? read more

I have rented from Public Storage facilities in several different cities. I have never had any issues. I initially rented a large unit and realized I needed a smaller one. So I went on the website and reserved a smaller one and scheduled a move out for my current one. I got a frantic call from Kelsey telling me that if I had just talked to her then we could switch to a smaller one and that the one I reserved is not available to me. I said okay and cancelled the reservation and the move out. Kelsey said she would keep her eye out for a smaller unit and call me. She never called. Over a month later, I got an email saying that my unit price was going up $70! So I quickly found a unit at another facility and scheduled my move out for the 8th of the next month. I called and left a voicemail asking what the pro-rated rent would be for the 8 days. I received a call back from Kelsey saying that they do not do pro-rated rent and that it is the full months rent for 8 days. I will never rent from Public Storage again, they obviously do not care about customer service. read more

i love this place, it is so clean and was super easy to rent. they have an app now and it unlocks the doors so no more remembering my code or if it's raining no more open window. my stuff is safe and in a very clean building. so glad I chose this location. read more

Reserved a unit and was called the day before my move that the unit is no longer available! WTF? Why have a reservation system if they don't reserve units. I was told then it was first come, first served. On their website it clearly states it will be reserved! I'll never use Public Storage. Bad business ethics. The staff wasn't helpful, the one time I had an issue their response was "We don't control that" and that was the end of it. It does function as a stoage unit, but pricing is fairly meh and in the future I will be avoiding public storage. read more

I am not happy with this company, there has been no light in the unit since I rented it a year ago, the office says they placed a service order a year ago and still no lights. I have tried for months to speak to the the corporate office and all they did was raise the rent 30.00, when I complained they told me to find a smaller unit. read more

I am a senior citizen on a fixed budget and work part time because my husband died I had to put all of our belongings into storage which I have been paying since May 2013. These people are VERY hard to deal with when it come to rent. I have been late on numerous times and they constantly charge at least a quarter late fees. Sometimes I have had to pay for my unit twice the price and then they are calling and threatening to auction off my belongings! They only care about the money and not the people or their situations! As soon as I can I will be moving out my belongings and going elsewhere!! read more

We stored all of our household items in a ground-level internal unit at this Public Storage for the past 8 months until we moved. From start to finish, the service and quality here was fantastic. Christy, the on-site manager, was always prompt and helpful when we had questions and accommodating as our circumstances/move-out date was changing. The unit was clean, no issues with any creepy crawlies or anything. Checking in and out was simple and straight-forward, there were no hidden fees in the rate, and automatic payments made it easy for us. Overall a great experience! read more

I recently stored all my belongings at this Public Storage in Salem- I am a travel nurse so I do travel lightly but needed a last minute place to store my things before flying home for the holidays. Christy and Cynthia were awesome managers...they were able to accomodate me at the last minute & I even snagged the last 5x10 storage unit. They walked me through the entire storage facility, I was able to see every option to be sure it would suit my needs. The staff checks all the locks nightly & there are visible cameras all around which I find comforting whenever I have to store anywhere. Above the units there is metal sheeting as to not allow people to look into individual storage units if they were to crawl around the pipes/ceiling (...I'm a little on the cautious side, haha) whereas other units I have rented had chicken wire over the top (for ventilation purposes). All in all, had a great experience with wonderful staff & a safe location. Would definitely rent through this Public Storage again. read more

We've been renting a storage unit for about 5 1/2 years. We knew the initial $1 fee was a gimmick and were only somewhat surprised that the initial charges included having to buy one of their locks (I assume they must have a master key). A couple years later, they changed all the locks but that is the only maintenance they have done. It's convenient to be able to pay the monthly rent online (although a lot of our other storage companies have started doing the same). The one thing they didn't tell us, however, was that they increase the rent every year on July 1 by 10-15% even though the only maintenance they have done is to change the lock. Inflation certainly hasn't been anywhere near that much nor have our property values been increasing much if at all. I'm pretty sure the local staff (who have been very friendly and helpful) haven't been getting huge raises so the only explanations would appear to be corporate greed or, possibly, someone in midlevel management is skimming. We have been looking for alternatives but haven't acted yet because of the cost and hassle of moving everything again but are pretty close to doing it after we just received this year's notice of increase. The unit we have has been weatherproof, even though unheated, and we haven't had a problem with rodents (we don't have anything stored that would tempt them) but I feel that the value to us has failed to keep pace with the rent increases so I can only recommend Public Storage if there are no reasonable alternatives. read more

Do not store your RV here! We had no problems at first but in the last year the rent has raised 3 times, our window got shot out with a bb gun, our electric side mirror got pushed in and someone tried to steal our batteries and un-hooked all the wires around it. They aren't willing to help with anything. We can't afford the repair bills anymore! read more
